Go to herbivore Island if your starting the game or if your seeking shelter and want one. Here's what to do 1. Make tranquilizer arrows or darts

2. Find one

3. start shoting it

4. Don't stop until it's on conscious

5. Put food into it's inventory

6. Wait till it wakes up

7. It's yours to keep

8. do it all again with the attacking one

9. Get as much metal as you want

always carry more tranqs than needed,these things are unpredictable. also just run backwards and hit them and they knock out.

In mobile it’s usually found in the red peak area while in pc it’s rare on mountains but there’s a bunch in herbivore island

Ok listen to me you should not tame one of these unless you have an argy of any other flyer greater than or equal to and argy. To tame one of these just fly around on your flyer and try to find a level that you desire. Once you find a good anky shoot it a couple times with a crossbow and it should go down you shouldn't need a trap. After you knock it out in a safe area get berries from nearby bushes and tame it.

For the mid-game players [ARK MOBILE] slightly teetering towards the noob side, specifically if you have already reached Level 35 and up, I highly recommend flying/swimming to Herbivore Island (it is on the SouthEast side of the map {I’m not good with coordinates but it’s at around 82,84}. It’s separated by a chunk of land infiltrated by the Megalodon (so you need to either have a strong swimmer Dino or a flier). You can tame it there safely as there are NO LAND PREDATORS, just don’t aggro the herbivores by accident. Once you tame it, just fly or swim back to your base and Request the Dino and it will teleport to you. Easy! This advice is for people who are still intimidated by taming due to aggressive predators ALWAYS near the Anky in the mainland. For Bonus Points: Sometimes Mantas killed by the Megalodon will end up on shore so free fish meat! I hope this helps someone, have a great day!

Tame one anky on herbivore island and get some metal

Knocking it out is so easy, But most people aim for the body with tranq arrows/darts which slows down on the knocking out process. So instead aim for the head, it can speed up tue progress faster, I already tested this and it works.

Brilliant way to avoid damage is using a net from the harpoon gun, just requires lots of metal and cementing paste , and you can simply use organic poly for the net projectile itself . Once netted it can be knocked out at your leisure.

Btw if you are on ps4 or pc or xbox you can tame a lvl 162 no narcotics needed but if using dried wheat it wont work you'll need narcotics(will take a long time with berries)

Sooo hard 2 find I couldn’t find one on The Island at all

Just pick it up with your Argentavis and drop it into your taming-room. A very easy tame, if you are doing it like this. Have fun with tons of metal!

There's lots of them on herbivore island for noobes its the island in the bottom right corner

It breaks thatch very slowly but it can’t break wood fast either so I would recommend these two materials

A great way to tame any passive dino is to use billboards. They work similarly to the dinosaur gateway method.

Prep: Kibble, narcotics (if necessary), tranq arrows/darts and 3-4 wooden billboards.

Step 1: Approach the dino, placing the first billboard as to trap its head. If done correctly, the dino will attempt to keep walking as normal, stuck underneath the structure.

Step 2: Place the remaining billboards around the dino, ensuring that it will not escape once aggravated. Make sure there are no large gaps between the boards.

Step 3: Prepare your preferred method and knock out the dino. The dino will not attempt to break the structure. If the dino is a passive tame, this step will not be necessary.

Step 4: Tame the dino and defend it.

Enjoy your new dino.

For taming make sure to aim for the legs and once it runs away don’t stop that is when it is closest to being knocked out.

PS bolas don’t work on it so don’t waste them trying to catch one (I think).

I just use the thing that makes the taking 10x on a lvl45 ankylo is that a win if it is up this (I am still a begginer)

So why you need this is because it's good for getting iron and I gets more iron from a stone pick and a iron pick and upgrade there weight to hold up stacks of metal for you and your friends to use I hope this helped.

I would let its hunger drian but keep nicotics to make it more dressy so it doesn't wake and when it hungry feed it it will make taming proces high
