Just tranq and walk backwards shouldn’t need to trap as long as you you have one or two points in movement

These guys are slow like REALLY slow even walking outruns them just make sure to bring some narcotics and some tranqs and your set.

It's fairly easy to tame on the scorched earth map, as you just need to keep backing up while throwing a boomerang. However, watch out for the rocks. I suggest heading over to the mid-zones due to the fact that there is less threats mid-zone one.

Here how i tamed my anky: i first found a good level one (135 for me) then used my Argentavis to pick it up and get it into a box (or safe place ) Only took about 8 toxic arrows to knock it out i did use a soothing bloom to make it faster but its worth it to get a anky

Wild Andy’s are slow so get like 100 ft away and put the tranq arrows to em!

Taming method is the same as a sarco except it eats berries and doesn't swim away when it's high in torpor.

When taming on foot remember they have a bad turn radius

You don’t actually need a crossbow with tranqs for this— just a normal bow. Try to shoot it in the head in rapid succession whilst walking backwards. (Their slow so this is easy) Once you have it out cold, you’ll need lots of berries and narcotic/bio toxin. Then you got an Anky!

To knock it out, walk backwards with a sling shot, and gen newbies can do this! Make sure to have about 30 rocks.

Using tranq arrows with a crossbow is fairly effective running then turning back shooting then running again is fairly easy or making a trap and attacking then lure it to trap

It's best to do a stave tame if you taming one in a dangerous place. So all your resources are not lost.

Honestly Ankies are super easy to tame, they just take a while. You will be using them forever and if you pump Melee damage you get more metal which is a must

Fun fact: They also spawn at the Southern Islets. Go to the intersection that's separating the swamp and you maybe see 2 or more of them in the intersecting island. Although its rare. Its always good to look at there when you started looking for one.
