If you need to get around the map with your anky, but don’t yet have the coveted argy, stick to the waterways. Swimming is faster than sprinting, or you can put it on a raft.

Next to them being the best metal ore miners of the Ark galaxy, I found them pretty good at mining obsidian too. I would take them the to the Arctic center on Gen for example and harvest both resources at once with one smooth chop of its tail.

People say that make ankys wave there tails to attract females. What would happen if one got to close? The’d be launched half way across the map cause they wanted to investigate!

Anky’s are the best Dino’s to farm metal and other things. You can also make a mega combo by getting on an Argy, carry the Anky, ask a tribe mate to do the same thing and BOOM more metal. Mega metal run!

P.S beware of Titanos dancing on the mountain. ;)

Tame one anky on herbivore island and get some metal

They say the metal pick is better than an ankylosaur harvesting the crystal, wrong. I've tested plenty of times to know for a fact that the anky is possibly 3x better (or more) than the metal pick is at harvesting it, use an anky instead!

Ok listen to me you should not tame one of these unless you have an argy of any other flyer greater than or equal to and argy. To tame one of these just fly around on your flyer and try to find a level that you desire. Once you find a good anky shoot it a couple times with a crossbow and it should go down you shouldn't need a trap. After you knock it out in a safe area get berries from nearby bushes and tame it.

For the mid-game players [ARK MOBILE] slightly teetering towards the noob side, specifically if you have already reached Level 35 and up, I highly recommend flying/swimming to Herbivore Island (it is on the SouthEast side of the map {I’m not good with coordinates but it’s at around 82,84}. It’s separated by a chunk of land infiltrated by the Megalodon (so you need to either have a strong swimmer Dino or a flier). You can tame it there safely as there are NO LAND PREDATORS, just don’t aggro the herbivores by accident. Once you tame it, just fly or swim back to your base and Request the Dino and it will teleport to you. Easy! This advice is for people who are still intimidated by taming due to aggressive predators ALWAYS near the Anky in the mainland. For Bonus Points: Sometimes Mantas killed by the Megalodon will end up on shore so free fish meat! I hope this helps someone, have a great day!

These dudes are all over herbivore island (where I live) and I have like 15 of these guys all max level and every once in a while I take one to fight alphas. It works very well

Just pick it up with your Argentavis and drop it into your taming-room. A very easy tame, if you are doing it like this. Have fun with tons of metal!
