Bro is literally insane. Can run in the water using sinking ability and you don’t drown while riding it. Also, the oxygen drains really slow on him and few pumps in oxygen is ridiculous.

You dont need the saddle to ride them, so go hog wild taming one as early as you can

Saddle acts like a mini submarine where rider requires no oxygen and added bonus the mini gun fires underwater! Hold right stick to force Dino to ocean floor where it walks and sprints like on land. Boost doesn’t work because same stick puts you back in swim mode. Andrew already has low oxygen consumption so add a few points and use it to explore the ocean floor.

Add: IS fast enough to swim/run away from alpha megaladon.

On PlayStation to fire you must press right joystick

Great hit and run machine. Insane speed and can combo a dash by following with a Jump for insane range. Press Ctrl to activate it's minigun and right click to shoot it

I didn’t see the part that said that it was good at gathering silica.

I’m not gonna type a tip that doesn’t have things to do about this type of fauna.

If set on aggressive and you encumber it, it may work like a turret by shooting animals but my guess is you may be able to put tranqs in it to use it as a full on taming tame… thing about a ascendant saddle with shocking tranq darts, gigantosaurus would go down in seconds. This might be a very useful game when it comes for fighting creatures. It was a big”ish” animal in real life which leads me to believe that it could have around 1k-2.5k health

Well, this big dog can dash through rocks like nothing at the same time it can't break thatch.

Although u don’t lose oxygen while riding with a saddle equipped but beware they do have an oxygen stat

The saddle is a literal top part of a tank although your Andrewsarchus could be a tank the turret does roughly 40 damage at 100% damage, would be cool if you could use different ammo like pistol rounds with reduced damage but faster Fire rate and sniper rounds to increase damage but slow down Fire rate, maybe even shotgun rounds... You would love to see it, but since ARK II is "releasing" next year (2023) and ARK recently receiving the final update, this dream will not come true. At least not in ARK one.

literally the most useful creature, especially when you just started, but i think a lot of people alredy know how to get it from when you just spawn in. Mid game (and start) this thing is literally the best thing ever: Its a good swimmer, in my opinion its pretty tanky and does lots of damage and if you got the saddle for it it can survive in the rock drake cave (which has radiation) so if you want to go there but you dont feel like getting the hazard suit just go in there with one of theese bad boys and just steal the egg (you will get a little bit of radiation when you obviously get down) and just run for your life.

Andrewsarchus with a saddle on are immune to jellyfish and ammonites aoe :) tried and tested.

Also they can sink and run on the ocean floor on a whim just hold right stick in to latch to it. Hold A to swim again.

To use the speed boost on a controller tilt the left analogue stick upwards twice quickly like you would in minecraft to sprint

Does the Andrew take radiation damage? I know the player doesn't with the saddle on but I can't remember if the Andrew does itself tho, and I'm thinking about taking mine to the rock drake cave in Asguard. Down if it doesn't.

Similar to trop it has a weaponary saddle but doesn’t scale with their melee
