- What kind of creature is it? -

The Ammonite is a creature that lives in the deep sea. It's quite harmless until you hit it. When you hit it, it sprays a kind of ink at you, which attracts the attention of absolutely every creature. Even neutral and timid underwater creatures will swim from a great distance to give you a good beating. Sometimes, even when you kill the Ammonite with one hit, it sprays ink at you for 10-15 seconds. So, don't just mess with it, especially if there's something quite powerful swimming nearby.

But I'll tell you about one bug, though I don't know if it's still working or not. When you want to tame a mosasaur, it has a height peak, somewhere in the middle of the ocean depths. To reach this peak, you must hit the ammonite, causing it to release ink on you. Swim up to the mosasaur, and when it's close, slowly begin to rise upward during the ink timer. This will cause the mosasaur to glitch and swim to shallow water. The ammonite also drops useful resources.

Ammonite loot is abundant, and it's beneficial to kill it if you're on an Ichthyosaur (meaning you can avoid attacking creatures after inking):

The BEST thing to have when you are taming a Mosa. When the rage effect is on the Mosa will ignore the height limit and get stuck on the surface, this works with Plesios and dunkle too.

POV: You go down to the ocean, deep-sea diving and get close to an ammonite.

It farts on you, and leaves a smell so bad the creatures around you are irritated and try to get rid of you.

I recommended to use range weapon to make sure you dont get a effect

good luck with these guys if you kill or attack them the will fart out gas which will make every creature to try and kill you so what i would try get is a really good basilosaurus or a tusotuthis or a mosasaurus. I would recomend a basilosarus because the cindrila can shock you off the mount but be care full if a alpha meglodon then be carefull the dinos may pin you and with the alphas buff will make them unkill able even with a 40k health tuso i have tryed it died and then it killed me and i lost all my stuff.

If you want ammonite bites just pick it up with a kapro and swim to the surface

These mfs are the most stupid wimps

If you hit them they crap all over you and end up in a mosas belly

If you use a Baryonyx you can use their Tailspin and it stuns then making them unable to release the pheromone so it makes killing them a lot easier, still watch your surroundings though!!
