They don't seem to eat food when raising them if you log off. Have had two starve to death with plenty of sweet veggie cakes on them. One got to be an adolescent, the first one was only a baby though.

Don't worry about level when you're looking for them. Get any level, even a lvl 25 I got has 156 weight. Considering achatina paste weighs just 0.01. That's 16,500 paste in a level 25. But it will never reach that as you get like 60 paste per hour. Set them to wander and feed veggie cakes, once in a while. Veggies cakes last 24 hours+ in real time. So spoil timer is massive, make a cage and put cakes in a feeding trough as that has same spoil timer as the animals inventory. My suggestion tame about 10-20. That way you get anywhere from 600 paste to 1200 paste every hour, and suitably all snails below level 30 but since they're hard to find, swoop any and all snails. On an unrelated note if you want cementing paste and you're not high level enough for veggie cake production, go the south cave(hunter) with a wolf, saber with at least 1500hp. Run around the cave and you will get 10000 chitin. Hope this helps!

They make Achatina paste not cementing paste. YES it counts as the same thing UNLESS you are trying to put it in a dedicated storage bin that has CP in it which WILL NOT work. It does NOT stack with CP. They also only eat veggie cakes so in my opinion don’t waste your time with this little guy.

I tamed about 7 of these and put them in my snail room. Cp for days.👍

Use a Daeodon to heal them so you don’t need to use cakes

Make a pen and set tons of these on wonder around so they poo out cementing paste!!

Achatina TRIPLE the storage timer on organic polymer, this is helpful for early game organic poly farms, they have a very large carry weight, so they can hold a ton of it.

Does not need to be on wander. If they are they will breed out of control. I left for a quick metal run and came back to 50 of these guys just chilling there unclaimed.

Taming is pretty expensive tbh, so if you're just after the paste, you can easily make a little pen or something for them and pick up wild ones, they wander around and drop the paste. On my singleplayer world I have around 15 on my tree platform, all I did was line the outside with railing and collect them, and bam, tons of paste.

Stealing cementing paste from beaver dams is much much more effecient, you can also take a dire wolf caving to collect tons of chitin and make your own cement, you can easily get 1k+ even running the Hunter's cave in the south of the island.

I actually managed to make one go into my house and to this day it’s still there

Here how to do it! : 1: If your a beginner spawn at E1

2: do all your forced quests

3: get AT LEAST thatch buildings as quickly as possible

4: find a snail

5: punch the snail (please remember that you must make at least a 1x1 house but roof isn’t required only walls and floor)

6: go behind it and make it go inside your house (be warned that you need to leave 1 wall open and not a doorframe for this to work)

7: fill the hole in the wall

8: enjoy your infinite CP

Also if your wondering why you need to spawn at E1 it’s because you spawn in the middle of a normal shore biome thingy and the swamp (I also found an itchy there so get meat real quick).

I play on mobile and i tamed him mainly for the Organic Polymer, if you are playing on single player simply leaving the game and come back on will instantly get you plenty and if you know how to convert Organic Polymer to Normal Polymer then this snail is a godsend, I easily farmed 3k polymers under an hour with him. The snail only eat Sweet Vegetable cakes but what he gives in return is worth it

On mobile these guys will produce the maximum amount of paste and organic poly if you leave and re enter

If you have s+ or patience don’t tame it. Just put it in a pen with a bird and get the s+ item collector and it will pick up the paste. Or just do that yourself.
