Taming & KO Tips

How do I tame a achatina? Tips and strategies on taming and knocking out a achatina.
Do NOT bother trying to raise snail babies, it isn't worth it because:
1) raising babies eat more cake than what it takes to tame a high level wild one, and
2) there is currently a glitch where baby snails will randomly stop eating from troughs or maewing inventories and starve themselves to death
I had 4 baby Achatinas and 2 died because they would not accept the cakes even being at 0 food. So I decided to try to use the Maewing. I loaded the Maewing with 10 cakes, turned on feeding, took out the babies and went into the Snails inventory to clock food consumption, all of the sudden the food jumped to 700, so, the Maewings work, I can’t imagine how many cakes this is going to take but best be sure you have a lot because 1 cake only last 4hrs in the Maewing.

Collect its slim for paste and to tame it you feed it
You got this always push 1 more when u think u can't oush anymore
Take this beautiful shelled wonder and put it away from the swamp and dangerous dinos. After that start shooting it with darts in the head until knocked out. When it is knocked you will have to feed it sweet veggie cakes until tamed. After that you will enjoy your cement pooping machine😎
Tip:they eat veggie cakes even after tame.
FUN FACT: they can wear hats!!!!! I found this out after accidentally putting my Gilly mask and it’s inventory.
Is it me or are these things EXTREMELY hard to find in gen 2 😑
Their shell imobolises them selves
On Xbox they start to die immediately after ko. Just force feed one cake and it will stop the hp from decreasing any. Then tame as normal.
I would have LOLed so hard if these guys actually would get saddles...
Shoot with tranq arrows because they have kow hp. Eats cake by self at every 200 points.
Tamed about 7 today and so far haven't seen a need to take a higher level. The CP output seems to be the same no matter. 20-40 is perfect to multi tame and not need to run frantically. Lower tames need monitoring for torpor but 1-2 narc will fill. Get plenty of veggies and stimulant ready for cakes too. They go fast!
I find best way to tame is to first make about 3 cakes, than tranq it than put it inside a small building, and then tame a bee and whenever you get enough honey to make a a cake make them. You can also set up a farm to grow the crops in a greenhouse for max efficiency
It doesn't say it but it drops angler gel when i kill it
If you put it in a cage and don’t tame it, make sure it’s near water!
Also it doesn’t only eat cake in the wild, It just only eats it after you tame it because you tamed it with cake and it’s favorite food is cake
Your best bet of finding them is in Athens redwoods. When you do you, if you play in PvE, you can’t shoot it with a grapple and a crossbow. Al long as you don’t release it, you can fly back to your base with a wild achatina flying behind you - only to get shot down by your turrets.
Leaves its shell at about 85% health
U will need an extra veggie cake as due to the veggie cake having a 30 second timer on it one is consumed it does not class as the food being in the inventory during the cool down period resulting in the taming effectiveness dropping during this time.
The 30 second cool down for eating a veggie cake counts as there being no food in its inventory and so the taming percentage goes down that's why dododex is normally off by one.
The reason for extra cakes is the 30 second timer after it eats a cake. While the 30 second timer is ticking it says put food in inventory to tame and you lose some taming percentage
