Ah. Yeah, I get that. Everyone has lives and things more important than a silly little dex. Thank you for telling me and I hope to be more active myself. And, hey, if need any ideas, you can just ask me if you want to. And yes Bob, I have been and will be back for a bit!
Break-it The Final Witness
To: Jerrald, Break-it
From: Ben
Jerrald, Chapter 9 of The Island was excellent! The raptor rematch was phenomenal and I loved the introduction of the new character. I wonder how he got a Deinonychus anyway? Has he transferred over from another ARK? Can't wait for Chapter 10, it seems he will ally with Marcel.
Break-it, Chapter 29 of SOR was great! It was nice seeing another journal entry from Bruce. I loved how the respawning mechanic is utilized in this story. So we now know not everyone can respawn, only a few, just like in the lore before One Who Waits could perfect it. So that means that Bruce was brought into the ARKs before The One Who Tries Again, making this fanfic an alternate timeline of the original game in a way. I cant wait to see some of these respawners in the next chapter.
Ben, look at this. *takes out the entire series.* *kicks the main character out* *series caves in.* and it takes me rewriting the whole thing to fit a new character.
I’m a newcomer. You are the author of The Arks: Over Heaven, the most popular Dododex series of the decade. What I know is that it must have been hard work for you to write such long chapters and keep everything consistent on a strict deadline. And not to mention… some chapters were a half hour read. Chapter 100 in full was a 3 hour read! These could’ve taken you hours each day and a lot of work. My point is: it’s not easy for me to write a consistent series, or for anyone else. People will struggle and I know it will make my series easier to write if I don’t have to worry about the characters. 12 chapters in and I already have to worry about you asking me to kill off my main character and change the series. I write for fun and because I like showing off my stories. So let’s be flexible with this. I’ll continue writing Chapter 13 and might get it out tomorrow or somewhere this week. If we get to Chapter 15 and you still don’t like my main character, I’ll switch up the characters or at least pull it in a different direction. I’ll work hard. None of us would ever be as good at writing as you. But we’re still good writers. Just don’t put pressure on this whole thing with my characters. I get you don’t like him and that’s fine. But I don’t want to feel like he’s a terrible character.
Have a good day.

Duke, yes it does. You’re going to like it a lot. In fact, I propose an idea. Everyone here should start a speedrun for 2025, a speedrun where they have to finish all story maps as fast as they can. 5 arrows to the sky and the speedrun begins. It’ll be single player so only one person at a time.
Don’t be afraid to do it and work on your stories.
Anyhoo, hope you like it! It’s ok if you don’t want to.
Also, an explanation on JTAC’s main character. Before I post chapter 13, you need to know this. Imagine you’re new to Ark and randomly join a pro PvP server and want to beat the game alone on that server. You set up a base and assume it’s easy. But then your negligence causes problems like your base and tames dying. This is the same thing with JTAC’s main character, Sodden, only on a much bigger scale. Not only is he trying to surpass dangerous tribes, he wants to do this and dominate all creatures by killing them. And he assumes destroying the heart is easy and is a small mission.
Sodden was 9 hours old in the first chapter. That means he just spawned in back then for the first time. Not only that, he accepted the mission a few days after that!! He, a new Ark dude, accepted the most dangerous task because he assumed he could handle it. But it’s clear he isn’t. He’s young, he’s not good at PvP (hence why he thought raptors are good for everything.) and he still thinks he can handle both easily. Even when he got warnings of his friends being in danger, or may be in danger, he doesn’t care all that much until they actually come, in which case it may already be too late. His negligence in Chapter 12 would lead to causing the god shotgun to fall in the wrong hands in Chapter 13 and almost lost his friends. Thus almost getting an entire tribe killed!! FOREVER!!!
Okay, it’s not all doom and gloom. Serenity was able to massively help Sodden by giving him the full scope on what’s going on. And trust me, Sodden is way better after that. He can balance what he wants and what he needs to do and not lose a friend. He just needs to do it properly.
Okay, please no more hating my character. I hate killing off main characters

Hi this is Apex, I am writing because I had an interesting thought for a side story project that would follow along with my story Journey(That story is going very well right now, can’t wait to let y’all to see it.). It would be called journey at twilight. It would be a sort of a what if story that wouldn’t involve the actual story of Journey but have interesting scenarios involving memes, famous ark mascots or scenes from Ark creators like videos and stories. It’s something I thought would be fun to do and I wanted to know if anyone would like to see that. They would come out at the same time as my main story so they wouldn’t come for a while. But I still like to have all of your input about it.
Also miss you Moon, hope your doing well.
And again, Love the story SpecialRaptor. I think I am caught up, but I am not sure if I am. I am at chapter 21. But I really like the story, can’t wait to read more of it!!
Well, I am off to continue writing and reading!!! Until next time!!!
The Red Pike
Part Three of Walker's Story
By Jedi
Christopher went forward. It was raining. He hadn't had a very good day. First, the village had been destroyed. Then, he got attacked by a giant. Then, he found out that his sister was the prisoner of some warlord named Nerva. He left hand arm was probably broken. His right ankle was definitely broken, and several of his ribs had cracked. As he continued, he came across a stone tower. A flag sat on top of it. It was red and seemed familiar, but he coudn't remember when. Two guards ran at him. " Who are you!" One of them shouted. " Uh, my name is Christopher. Have you seen my sister, Helena Walker?" Both of the guards winced at the name. " why are you asking? Are you her ally?" "Well, I guess so, considering we're related." Both of the guards held of the weapons. " then in the name of Gauis Nerva, our founder, we sentence you to death."
Good Evening Ladies and Gentlemen, this is your Ark Community News.
Within the last few weeks of posting my last News Broadcast. Wildcard has released a wide variety of content announcements.
With the first being the reveal of the newest community voted creature. The Paleoctopus, the Genesis Part I Ocean Biome Creature. With Wildcard releasing this statement to go with our new Kraken of the depths. “ When exploring the wide underwater biomes, you may notice two very different moods beneath the waves. Sometimes the calm is shattered by a sudden, violent surge—a frantic rush of ink and power that suggests the depths have finally lost their patience. Other times, the seabed gains an extra stone… a coral formation grows a few more “branches”… and the ocean floor becomes suspiciously still.
Disturb it at the wrong moment, and survivors will learn quickly that those eight arms aren’t just for show.‘ end quote. The Paleoctopus will be releasing with Genesis Part I this June.
Last Week, Wildcard then announced a new creature releasing for Astraeos this summer. The Boaratos is a literal Hellfire Pig, having tusks and a mane partially made up of fire. Being nearly twice the size of our current Hellpig, the Daeodon. This will be a walking fiery, tamable judgment for the bext big Astraeos update. This creature was originally created and designed by Dragonheart, the mod developer for creatures like Hapipalus, Desolatitan, Sanguivern and many other of the Overseer Experiment mods (which was what Boaratos was originally).
Lastly for newly announced Ark creatures. The next Ark Additions mod for official release has been announced. Which is also the closest to releasing out of these creatures announced. With the Acrocathosaurus releasing March 31st as an official addition to Ark. Leaving the Concavenator, Brachiosaurus, Deinocheirus, Suchomimus, and Velociraptor (with now the possibility of Shantungosaurus coming to official as well since Garuga achieved all the donations needed for its modded version) left for official releases.
Finally, Ark has also given their first actual reveals to the next two big DLC projects coming to Ark.
With the first one that should be releasing is Bob’s True Tales coming with also Genesis Part I, Tides and Fortune. If this sounds a bit pirate-ish of a theme to you. That is because Tides and Fortune’s theme is that of the scurvy sea dogs. Being a fully pirated theme addition to the new fully map seas being added to Genesis Part I, these seas will be bordering all of the main original map biomes and borders of the original map of Genesis Part I. And will come with semi procedural islands and NPC forts to fight against. Tides and Fortune’s will be adding new ships unique from Ark’s sister game, Atlas, and will also most likely be adding a new creature, new gear, and new skins for your characters/creatures. This will be releasing alongside Ark Genesis Part I and has already announced to be a Paid DLC.
With the final properly announced DLC coming to Ark being ASA: World Creator. That’s right, for those who are too poor to own the Xbox Dev Kit or are simply unable to download the 2 Terabyte Dev Kit on PC. Wildcard has found a way to fix that (kind of?) with ASA: World Creator. You will be able to create (with limited* power) your own modded maps for Ark and be able to share them with the Ark Community. Now, by limited power, I do mean that you will not be able to do anything like add your own assets into your Arks. All assets will either be pre-created assets from other Official Arks, OR, assets made and released onto the mod page. With Wildcard specifically saying quote “ Want to build your own ARK world without learning the Dev Kit? With the in-game ASA World Creator, players on any platform, including consoles, can design their own maps directly within ARK and share them with others via the Mod Browser.
While creators won’t be able to make new art assets or perform the deep construction associated with the full Dev Kit, the system provides powerful tools for building playable worlds. Creators will be able to place and modify actors, create reusable templates, edit their properties, adjust overall world settings, configure volumes and spawners, add mods and skin packs, and implement simple gameplay logic through a brand new scripting layer that combines Lua scripting with a Blueprint API.
Everything shown in the screenshot is part of the in-game interface, including the full GUI and property editing tools!‘ end quote. ASA: World Creator will be releasing sometime in Quarter 3 of 2026, and this will be a Paid DLC.
And while these were the only announced DLCs. Ark does plan to release a new version of Survival of the Fittest being run by Ark Aquatica’s team, Studio Sirens (this will be an Unpaid DLC, I think, though take this with a pinch of salt, as it could be very much a Paid Expansion). And Wildcard has went onto say that there are plans for a Dragon Themed Paid DLC, called Dragontopia, which is expected to release at the end of 2026. With a high chance of several Crossover Mods with other games or IP’s, and possibly new Fantastic Tames coming throughout 2026. And plenty more Paid Content for 2027.
We are also expecting that several free maps, such as Crystal Isles and Lost Island will be potentially releasing this year alongside Genesis Part I and all of these Paid DLCs. And that the five major TLCs will be occurring, with the first expected to be the Areneo TLC.
So expect that 2026 to be a busy year for Ark and full of Ark content!!!!
And that, is your Ark Community News.
Pastel, I’m ok!!!! I have been better, but I’ve been worse.
I’m very excited for Ragnarok and the Bison too!!!! I’m also excited for the Preorder package of Lost Colony as there might be some cool stuff!!! I’m kinda surprised we haven’t gotten a tease or anything of a Fantastic Beast. Was kinda hoping for something Aquatic like a Levitation or a mythological/cryptid aquatic animal.

To: SangToareGirl, DiploLover, and RelatingHen
From: Ben, & KM
Hey, saw the new chapters that came out, so I wanted to give my thoughts out for those.
SangToareGirl, I managed to catch up with The Five Talons of Aberration. So I’m telling from the setting that it takes place in Aberration (the MC Kiri has an Yi Ling and the title is based off of it). It seems that some sort of town had been built in the caves of Aberration, which Kiri is situated in. The Five Talons mentioned in the title are probably some dangerous/powerful artifacts of sorts that will be used to accomplish a goal or secure/save the world. The prologue was mysterious but very fun to decipher. The town in Chapter 1 may be linked to the Prologue, as it seems the woman in the Prologue was thrown in the pit by the villagers of the town. I’m guessing the creature that was hunting her was a Nameless, as the appearance matches (i think) and it’s described that she climbed out of the shadowy place of “no names”, which correlates to Nameless. I do not think the girl in the Prologue is the same as Kiri, but I’m sure they’ll meet (if they are different people). Anyway it’s cool so far, we can’t wait to read the rest.
DiploLover, Chapter 9 was really cool and ominous, especially Astra’s nightmare. When Shadow mentioned “powers beyond” it makes us think that there’s more than just FrostPaws and FlamePaws and whatever other Paws there are. Perhaps it’s linked to Pax’s time powers, as I don’t think a ‘TimePaw’ would be a thing (time and the elements are on completely different leagues). Also, makes us wonder why Shadow made Astra do all of the work if he’s that powerful. I suppose laziness gets to the best of us. Also I guess the main ship will be Astra and Prince anyway… sorry Pax. We’re not exactly kicking our feet and giggling, but we think it’s fun nonetheless. Anyway, cool chapter, we’ll be around for Chap 10.
RelatingHen, thanks for letting me know that Terad is Level 100. So for some reason I thought Terad had died when it was actually Sodden? I just misread it. Also it was cool to see how the respawn mechanics worked for the other humans: they lose all of their levels, which is why Sodden and Rod were so low level when the Giga killed them. It was an epic battle though for Chapter 10, and really fun to read. It was nice to see that Terad and Rod sorta made up for what happened. I’m still curious about who Rod’s old tribe/boss was, I’m supposing we see them in Aberration segment of the story. This is definitely gonna be a lengthy story, but we have the assurance you have the resilience and willpower to march through and finish it. Oh yeah, we were also pleased to see hints at meeting other tribes at the end of the chapter. It’d be nice to see their opinions on the other characters, as we haven’t really gotten any new characters so far. I hope we run into Dundo and Nesan again at some point, since I believe we haven’t seen them since the Carcha Incident. Anyway, we’re intrigued to see how Section 2 / Part 2 of the story goes!
