Tips & Strategies

What are tips for achatina? Tips and strategies for achatina in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
When taming low level Achatina you may need to feed it a cake immediately after falling unconscious as their health decreases until they eat which often results in death.
If they take too much damage they will retreat into their shell with a similar effect as a doed.
Commonly found in swamps, but while less common, are easier to tame in redwood forests, which is the other place you can find them
Bring extra cake, it sometimes says too add food so taming drops a little ever so often. Doesn't effect level though
There very esey to kill just take your axe and swing it a few times and boom dead -Big Bill
Feed a mouse a cookie and he'll want milk. Passive feed a snail cake in the swamp and he'll want to lure you to some Kapros. They eat sweet veggie cake which is such a pain to get and really picked the worst place to vibe in all of 'dismounted Ark' (Not on a dinosaur) Bring cake and a shotgun, plus a few bolas and you'll be covered in Sacro Scales and Kapro hide while the little bugger munches on his cake. Pros: Snail, CP (Cementing paste not, you know Chris Hansen favorite bait) Cons: Bugger is like the Kim K. Of expensive foods and somehow always sneak out of their pens (That or my tribemates think it's funny to move him). I'd put him in a cage but I'm a big time builder an- sidetracked... Snail go sloop and swamp go brrrrr bring a shotgun. 10/10 tame of course though -Racc Ark Veteran
You can pick up Achatina's with a flying mount to bring them to a safe area to tame
If you find any dead ones make sure to collet the body so more can spawn
Make sure you get to make a house on the first day or so
The achatina is obviously a slug with a sea shell on it. Wonder who found fossils of this cursed thing..
It eats veggie cakes, and fyi I don’t know how to make them. It has a high topier drain (comes conscious quickly) so watch out.
The mainly spawn in swampy areas alot the coasts (from what I’ve seen) and is a decent source of citchin.
They also somehow eat stones? Yeah idk.. Put a thousand stones it it’s inventory and set it to wander, trap it in a box and drowned it.

This is my first instructions list from a-y so please follow along in the next tutorial!
Requires Hatchet Lvl2.
Noob Informer 2.0: So, Achatinas, they spawn on every map except Genesis Part 1, they are good for getting Cementing Paste and eventually Organic Polymer, they do not Pose any Threats in the Wild whatsoever, neither when Tamed, Achatinas are tamed via Veggie Cakes, which are decently Challenging to make, but you will get it! I forgot how to make Veggie Cakes but I believe in whoever is taking this as Advice! :D, Anyways, to tame a Achatina, make some Veggie Cakes, And ONLY Shoots them in the Head when Tranqing, they are Relatively easy to knock out, and on The Island, they can be found in the Redwoods, and on Crystal Isles, Grasslands, that is all I know pretty much, I don’t see them often on any other Maps, once they are Knocked out feed them Veggie Cakes and let them Tame! Once they are Tamed enjoy you’re Achatina! :>, I would recommend Crafting a Wooden Cage and picking up a Achatina and YEET it in there, set it on Wandering, and you have a Organic Polymer and Cementing Paste Farmer! Up this Tip if it helped you out! :D
Plop it at your base and then somehow aquire a personal honey bee hive for veggie cakes. Great for polymer and cementing paste. Upgrade their food bar whenever it gets enough exp. So then it can go a lot longer without food, and wont die as fast from starvation. I can play for like three days and then decide whether or not I want to top up its food bar.
