Achatina are harmless and cannot fight back, but they retreat into their shells when hurt, greatly reducing incoming damage and making them slow to kill. Clear nearby predators first, then carry one to safety with a suitable mount; if taming, use tranquilizing weapons and avoid attacking while it is in its shell.
