Totally unexpected reaction to hugging it. Wow

I have never tamed one of these things, not even tried, but try to decrease mount usage during taming. They will use their fear roar and scare your mount away, so try to decrease how much you rely on your tamed during the knockout phase. I feel like ARK did this because they just want to see how well players do when taming a big carnivore without use of a mount.

If you see one, look for Carno's. I was walking along, and I saw this, and then two Carnos helped kill me. I was a level 88! Just be wary they don't fight alone.

Tanky thylacoleo + tranquilo darts = EZ Tame (tranq arrows also work but I would suggest only using crossbow for them)

This guy gives more hp per point than my brontosaurus I dont know why or how

these things bring carnos with them and are pretty powerful with their group, i recommend avoiding any contact with them unless your on a boosted server or your a high level

There always seems to be a ton of carnos around it so be careful

Would make a trap and lead it there on foot, due to the fact that you can have you're animal run away while your blind due to the yutranus roar. And take out the followers.

Pretty easy to ko just have to tank it’s hits with a imprinted Rex and have a tribe mate shoot it and tranq it and boom you have a chicken rex

Always have the equipment necessary to tame any Dino. Bring a preserving bin and spark powder for your prime meat or mutton if you need an excess amount. Don’t forget narcotics, and knockout equipment. Never forget the saddle. Bring a couple sleeping beds. Place spike walls around your tame. And clean up after you tame the Dino. Don’t leave your taming pen there for nothing in a pvp/pve server.

Get highground then its easy they usually have Carnos protecting them so watch out for those

I built my raft like a scoop and scooped this guy up off the beach without scooping up his 3 carno friends now to take him somewhere peaceful and try to tame him somehow, yay prolly gonna die....

To tame one get 4 metal billboards and like 3 large bear traps make a little pen with the billboards and leave a opening for it to run in and place the traps down inside, then you want to hit it with a tranq so it aggros on you and run into the pen and out from under it, after it gets stuck in the trap go behind it and place a billboard so it cant leave the pen, then knock it out!

You find these guy normally in the snow areas on the island with a pack of carnos the best of luck to you

What doeant it scare? I just had my entire base wiped out by 1 wild because nobody would do anything but run! I cant do the ascend caves because there is 2000000 of them In there and they scared my 30 lvl 200 raptorssinto lava and they all died.

These things are going to make me quit.

X-yutyrannus are much harder to tame and I would recommend you bring at least 200-300 darts because that what I needed to tame a 147

Using dinosaur gates will not work you must try an other way to get them trapped.
