I encounterd many of these in the North. The first one I killed on OP setings. The next time I saw two with a total of seven Carnos. I flew down on my Argy to see what they where attacking...and BOOM! Suddenly the Yuty took control of my argy! I couldn't control it! Next time I encounter one of these I will be more careful.

The Wild yuty roar can really be dangerous, if your dino gets roared on by it not only will your dino run around randomly and uncontrollable for several seconds, but it’s stats will also be debuffed so you will deal less damage and I believe take more damage. I had a 140 pre tamed x allo with 12k hp 450 almost die to a lvl 60 yuty, got debuffed then was running into a wall and lost around 9k health because of the roar. So be careful and use bigger games to encounter these like rexs or bigger.

Be ready to run into these guys a lot while in the snow biome. Keep your distance if you don't have a decent army built up yet. Lower levels can be downed by some well placed shotgun blasts, just be careful when you engage. If it scares your tames its possible they'll fall right off the icy cliffs into the sea where they'll be devoured by sharks. Its either focus your attention on the yuty and get shredded by the carnos or focus on its carno lackeys and risk all your tames being scared off.

first you gotta run from it but if you have any weapons just use it on the yutyrannus.

I have been searching for high level Yutys, and I needed to kill the lower levels. While killing them on my Argent, I found that the fear roar only works if you are in front of the Yuty. Conclusion: a good way to kill Yutys quickly is to get a good Argent and chase it in circles until it roars, at which point you can attack it. Still, be careful.

sterp 2: bring it to the cold zone

step 3: leave your dino in a spot to get some wood

Best method to get away get a friend bloa friend and run

If you are not far away from him with a griffin or something that isnt big get a litte further away from it because when the fear comes small creatures are running or flying away and get much damage

I learned because i was with a griffin and yeah griffin gone, mostly the yuti has carnos with it so if you just traveling avoid it

This can screw up an Arctic exploration, especially if flying because the fear makes your bird go in RANDOM DIRECTIONS, while using stamina. If this is your first Yuty find, remember that the roar radius is bigger than you think.

If you flying around in the snow on your 200 pteranodon, and you see this and think you can barrel roll a couple of times and kill it, dont even go near. One roar and youll wet the bed you wake up in when you respawn.

Tame a yutyrannus and then tame Rex’s and then take down anything

So, I just love ❤️ the yuty because of how much knockback they do and the roar.

I have one in lost island and the island and they are both level 30

And are great.

I would recommend leveling up stamina to 1k and melee to 300- 350

, health to 1800 at least.

Note: these stats are for low levels

For killing the Carnos I’d recommend doing meleeis you have a good sword/pike and good health.

If you can’t do that just snipe with my preference being a longneck or pistol and male sure that you on a place that the carnos can’t get you or frankly, your screwed. And don’t take tames up close or the yuty will roar and your tame will run away.

For leveling, I’d recommend the snow biome if you have good gear at a goodish yuty. If not, the beach is easy and a good choice but not many high exp animals

Taming:I don’t like to use traps, but you should probably use one if I have to use traps I go for a simple ramp-pen.Use stone for it and once the carnos are dead just kite it into the trap and walk up the ramp jump through the doorframe. (Don’t use a tame as you might get stuck in the doorframe).

For food just feed whatever you have except fish. Kibble is the best.

Just so everyone knows, their not on mobile so don’t waste time trying to find them.

They spawn in the snow biome.

And yes, the roar scares some creatures but for most it just aggros on you.

Encounter = Death

Death = Lose all of your stuff

Lose all of your stuff = Start again making things

Making things again = No protection for a while

No protection for a while = Enough time for a Yutyrannus to come, kill you again, and destroy your tames and stuff.

My encounter didn’t end well (I think you can tell).

At first I was afraid it would nock me off my tame when it roar’s, but turns out that it just gives you blinding and loss of control, and any tips on what isn’t afraid of its roar.

Don't get close with your own Dino's. It's yell will send them in a frenzy. Edge of the snow with terror bird in Arges hand heading home this guy catches me with his yell as I check his level sends my Arge deep in the cold no Stam pack of dire wolves snacks my terror bird before I can use my sino to glide the F outs there before the yuty decides I'm worth the chase....
