Step 1: get bola and tranq arrows or darts (depends on your level) find a direwolf with about 1k hp. Bola and tame. The wolf doesn’t need a saddle to ride.
Step 2: ride the wolf and make an argie aggro you shoot the argie while riding the wolf (the wolf works like a shield and it is an easy tame) tranq the argie until it’s knocked out and tame make a saddle for your argie.
Step 3: make some grappling hooks (on singleplayer you will need many grappling hooks and make sure the crossbow has enough durability) find yuty grapple the argie and make a friend ride it (on singleplayer you will need to ride it yourself and that’s the reason you will need many grappling hooks) fly above it while grappling and tranq
it down feed some prime meat and BOOM you have your own yuty
If you want a low level you can also just shoot it while running

How to build a trap
What you need:
9 stone foundations,
18 stone doorframes
4 wooden ramps
6 stone walls
How to build it
First, make sure you build the trap in a safe-ish area to make sure that nothing super powerful comes and either kills you or the Yuty while it’s trapped
Place the foundations in a 3x3 shape
Place 6 doorframes on each side except for one
Place the 6 walls on the remaining side
Place the ramps on the regular wall side so that the Yuty can walk into the trap
How to tame it
Find the Yuty, kill all of its carnos, and then lead the Yuty into the trap
I recommend that you use a wyvern for this because they are not affected by the roar
Keep shooting tranqs at it till it’s knocked.
It’s torpor doesn’t drop very fast, so you don’t need too many narcs
Use whatever kind of food you want

At lvl 140, it took 50 minutes to starve tame with 25 mutton at taming effectiveness 97.3% (+68lvl).
About 30 tranquil darts with a 210% longneck rifle and 10 trans arrows with a 241% cross bow.

It really is that simple though, they can't reach you or your flier on a big enough rock, so if you don't want to make a trap you can just shoot down from a rock or cliff once the carnos are dealt with. Be ready for a goose chase once it starts running.
So what i did was to tame them easy first if u dont need a trap so if they eat fast so what u gotta do is go w ur flyrer drop ur tank combat mount for my case i used my imprinted rex which has 21k hp and killed the carnos make the yuty aggro on it and killed everything hostile and then took it somewhere safe dismounted and let it attack my rex while my rex on passive and js knocked it out using crossbow and tranq arrows and fed it if u need to make a trap and stuff i did the same let it aggro on my rex and bite it while im dismounted and surrounded both of them with metal billboards then proceeded with the tame
X creatures take 3x the tranqs required to tame a normal one.
I just tamed a level 100… he made my ptero leave me, so I killed his friends and knocked him out. He woke up feeling obligated to me for some reason…
To tame Yuty, you need to take these items. 9 stone pillars_ 4 stone dinosaur gateway_ 1 rainforced dinosaur gate_ 3 large bear traps To make the trap, first place 4 stone dinosaur gateways in a square, then place a rainforced dinosaur gate for one, and place 3 stone pillars between the other stone dinosaur gateways, and place 3 large bear traps inside the trap, and open the rainforced dinosaur gate, then drag Yuty inside and quickly close the gate.
Surprisingly you can net the yutyrannus (saved me many times)
All you need to do is just get the high ground
