Tips & Strategies
If you want a wyvern:
Get an egg,
Then eat it,
Because your not,
Ready for wyverns.
Milk will last almost 10 hours on the island if you use a preserving bin with preserving salt. You must refill the preserving salt every 2 hours though.
Kite low level wyvern out to wild, when it looses agro and attacks caramels trunk it, a 25 should only take 6 shots with a long rifle and darts.
To tame one you must grab the egg you should do it on a bird .
With the latest update it won't let you give cactus soup to your flying Dino, so be very very careful beware of lightning wynerns as they tend to KILL YOUR BIRDSSSSSSSS!!!!!!
Get a tapahara and get it to 225 movement speed or a ptaredon
When getting milkbtry to stay away from Lightning wyvern go for a position much Easier and fire if you can't find a position
When you are trying to get wyvern eggs or milk it is alot easier to use a 150 pteranodon than to use a 150 argy just transfer a pteranodon from a differnet server this is because they are naturally fast so you dont need to pump all its stats into speed like you do with the argy you just need to upgrade its health also the pteranodon special attack will allow tou to escape quickly feom a wyvern if it is attacking you this is very helpful if a lighting wyvern is on your tail.
I suggest building 5 behemoth gates and placing them in line, entrance will have the casual gate and then end side will have pillars wide enough for your bird to fly through.
Any ptera with base move speed 135.00% can get eggs and trap wyverns easily. Need to use barrel roll attack at some points as it propels you forward.
Buy the milk when possible
Don't go in the water or it dies
Use trank darts knock out
When hatching the egg make sure to have people with you. You can always solo but it's way easier with other people. Prepare for sleepless nights and constant worrying when you have to leave because these guys take 4 days to fully raise. You want to get as many imprints as possible which varies from taking them on a walk by whistle following and walking around, cuddling which just requires the simple button press of Triangle( I don't know Xbox or PC Controls) or hand feeding wyvern milk. Wait what wyvern milk, yes. There is a simple trap which can be found on YouTube. To make your life easier place a windmill( not a generator the break over time in scorched no reason to waste resources fixing it and supplying gas) right next to a stone pillar or a stone foundation with a wall on it, place a keypad so you can easily open and close the behemoth gate. Then simply find a femal wyvern and knock it out and grab the milk and go. Hope this helps and good luck.
Wait to feed until after each imprint so if it wants milk you don't have to waste it
If you want to hatch the egg make sure that you have:a trap/a house near the trap/wyvern spawn location near the trap.
If you are a begginer you need to know that getting milk is pretty easy but with no ytap makes it a nightmare.Good Luck!
Best way to get them is asking a tribe that breeds them to sell some to you for a price until you eventually have enough timbres them yourself to lessen the chance of losing anything unnecessarily
Most people know this but for the newer players can learn something new when you build your trap for the wyverns first donstone which any wyvren cant damage but when you start going to trap the alpha use metal since the alpha damages stone which you can just repair it but if you forget to repair the alpha will get out and reck so it's just easier to make it if metal and not have to worry about it good hunting and good luck
Cross transfer a pteranodon that has 150 speed and over 2k health and it's easy. With 3 k stamina you won't need to take a break if you aggro a male and have to run
Getting the egg is the easy part the higher level the egg 100+ the Easyer the baby will be to feed and raise... best way to raise these baby's are to do it in a group of friends 4 days is not fun by yourself and have a wyvern cage built ahead of time ... depending on how many people are in your group wyverns are best raised in groups of 4 or 9 because a normal female dragon only gives five milk at a time so you always have that extra for imprints
