It was another day on my singleplayer Valguero world, before I lost Guinea to a wild allo. Though, this story isn’t about deinys at all, but about my pteranodon’s last day alive.

So I hadn’t gotten a wyvern, nor did I have a plan on incubating an egg or providing wyvern milk for it even if I was able to hatch it. My base is on the other side of the world, so it’d just be a huge pain to go back and forth to retrieve the milk. Even though it was too complicated for me at the time, my nooby self decided that today, I’d get a wyvern. As soon as I could see the sun, I left my base with my ptera to travel to the ice wyvern trench on the other side of the map. It was a pretty smooth journey, besides the moments when I had to get stamina and a random microraptor tried to knock me off of my mount out of nowhere, though me and my ptera remained unharmed. Then, I saw it. The gleaming white snow, the rocks of the trench. The wyverns. Everywhere. I landed somewhat near the trench to have as much stamina as possible. Then I started the raid. As soon as I dove down into the trench, a wyvern spotted me. It saw me way before I saw a single egg. Panicking and running out of stamina, I stayed at the bottom of the trench, as I couldn’t go up because it had trapped me from above. Ice breath froze my pteradon, so I dismounted as it ripped my first ptera to shreds. Though dismounting was a very unwise decision because I fell into the lava. Disappointed in the turn of events, I respawned, crafted a grave, and placed it at the top of a sunny hill, where my deinonychus’s grave, Guinea, would soon be placed.
