Stories Tips
What are some stories about the unicorn? Memorable unicorn stories, wild encounters, and fan fiction.
It really really sucks for mobile users that the only way of taming a unicorn is to use griffin kibble. I was farming xp by collecting explorer notes when I hear a sparkle I saw a unicorn!! My first time seeing a unicorn. I got my argy and took it back to base I mad a pen for it and kept it in there. When I looked on Dododex it says you need griffin kibble !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now what should I do to this unicorn? The devs must really fix this. At least let mobile users use rocarrots to tame them up. Like seriously this is messed up
Listen I’m sorry of all y’all’s unicorns not surviving. but I have the best solution for y’all. so you go and try to get a griffin. and get it’s stamina up to 300. and then wait until a unicorn spawns close enough to your house. and make griffin kibble with its eggs. or get chef station easiest way. with the griffins eggs and carry it home. and boom you have a unicorn just as healthy as mine meaning 783.4 health.

After a while, Samuel and Nova finally left each others’ embrace. Samuel’s tears had dried out, but a smile still remained. Nova smiled back.
“Yayyy! Friends united!” Andres cheered, pumping his fist in the air. Nova suddenly frowned, reached her hand back, and slapped Samuel so hard he went flying. Samuel let out a howl of pain and was knocked into the wall.
“That’s for taking weeks to figure out that I was Nova! Come on, it was so obvious, I made it as obvious as possible! That’s unacceptable!”
“Owww,” Samuel groaned, “Sorryyy.”
Tiffany raised an eyebrow.
“Wut.”
“I think it’s a city goer sort of thing,” Andres explained to Tiffany. Tiffany rolled her eyes.
“This type of stuff only happens in movies. But I’d never know, I’m from the countryside after all.”
“Whatever. Apology accepted, dork,” Nova began to move her arms around and stretch. She closed her eyes and sighed as she cracked her back.
“Man being a human is great!”
Samuel slowly got up from the ground, patting dust off his torn, dirty graduation robe.
“Say, how did you even get trapped in the body of a dodo anyway? That doesn’t make any sense.”
Nova’s eyes darted off to the side, she ruffled her black hair, and then she shrugged.
“No idea dude. When we woke up on the shores, I saw your body in the sand, passed out. I started getting hungry though. So I went out to kill those big fat birds that were roaming around, but as soon as I got my hands around one, and I killed it, I just… transformed into it. Weird stuff.”
“Wait, you said you transformed into it after you killed the dodo?” Tiffany said, a moment of realization crossing her.
“Yeah. Why?”
“Hmm. Try turning back into the dodo.”
“WHAT?!” Nova stammered, astonished, “You want me to turn into that stupid thing again? What if I can’t turn back.”
“Just trust me. I think I have it all figured it out.”
Nova sighed. She closed her eyes, and for the next few seconds, nothing happened. Nova opened her eyes again.
“Ugh, it’s not working! Turning into that fat bird was just some weird glitch or whatever.”
Just then, one of the two gems in Nova’s implant glowed a bright white, and Nova’s body transfigured and morphed right back into a dodo. Nova let out a squawk of irritation.
“Nova!” Samuel cried out. As soon as Samuel called out her name, a bright light filled the room, and Nova returned to her human form. Tiffany’s eyes widened at this revelation.
“I think I see it now,” Tiffany explained, “Nova, this is merely your implant attribute.”
“Hm?”
“Once you killed that dodo, you transformed into it. Any unique creature you kill you should be able to transform into that specified creature whenever you wish. The only drawback to this is that someone must call your name if you want to turn back…”
“Wow, is it that simple?” Nova said with wonder.
“It is. Figuring out people’s attributes is kind of my thing,” Tiffany boasted. Andres smirked. Samuel still had an objection to this.
“But that doesn’t make any sense. Nova already had an attribute when she was in her dodo form. Sort of.”
“What do you mean?” Tiffany asked.
“Nova could blast these weird… waves. And everytime she did it allowed people to… focus. I didn’t need it, but it was useful for my allies. And everytime she did that, her chest glowed, as if there was an implant there.”
Tiffany swung her legs off the table and stood up from her chair. She walked over to Nova and gently grabbed her left wrist, inspecting the implant closely. She eyed the two gems in the bracket, and then took a look at her own implant, which only had one.
“I see, I see now. Samuel, your friend has two implant attributes.”
“For real?”
“For real.”
“But how could that be possible?” Samuel asked, bewildered.
“I dunno. We were all spawned in with one. I’m not too sure why she would be the exception. But we should be grateful for that. You have a lot of potential, Nova.”
Samuel rubbed his left wrist softly, which contained no implant.
“Could it be that Nova somehow got my implant?” Samuel thought to himself, “Maybe that enlightenment was supposed to be my attribute. But if something like that happens, why would it glitch? That just makes me more and more skeptical of this place. I have a feeling someone’s pulling strings here.”
Loud footsteps pattered on the dirt outside. The door to the cabin swung open violently, and all faces turned to see Neddy standing at the door. He wasn’t smiling, which kind of creeped Samuel out. He was usually always laughing or smiling.
“Hey Neddy! It’s nice to meet you, finally!” Nova said, waving at him, “I’m Nova, but you knew me as Star. Kinda freaky stuff, but I was actually a human all along. Awesome stuff right?”
“We need to talk, Samuel,” Neddy declared blankly. Samuel didn’t protest.
“Okay…”
Samuel walked up to Neddy, and Neddy slowly closed the door, peering at Nova for a bit before finally looking away. The door closed, and Neddy began to walk away.
“Let’s go for a walk, friend.”
Samuel closely followed behind Neddy, and Neddy glanced at the open window. Out of earshot, Neddy softly spoke under his breath.
“Me and Ruby were coming back from our trip to get food for all of us, and we spotted Aurora crying hysterically on the cliff’s edge, weeping and sobbing about you. Ruby’s taken her down to the lake to get her cleaned up.”
“Okay, and? What does this have to do with me?” Samuel asked snottily.
Neddy suddenly stopped walking. He clenched his fists, and he turned around with scrunched eyebrows and dilated pupils. He shoved a finger into Samuel’s chest, and he let out a shocked gasp as he slowly backed away.
“Don’t play dumb with me!” Neddy growled with a glare, “I know it was you! You said something to her didn’t you? What did you tell her?”
“Why do you care so much? She ran away and tried abandoning you-”
“Because believe it or not, I see her as a friend. Same as I see Tiffany as a friend, and Andres, and even the people back at the Book Club,” Neddy said, fuming, “I see you as a friend.”
Samuel stood there solemnly, his hands dangling by his side. He opened his mouth to speak.
“I rejected her. Her romantic feelings toward me. I was afraid that she was in love with me. And I was right, so that’s what I did. I told her that… that I’d never like her. And that she should move on for her own good.”
Neddy’s head slowly dropped to the dirt. He stared at the grass for a second, before kicking away a large clump of dirt.
“I didn’t know you got scared, Samuel,” Neddy muttered. He looked up, “So be honest with me, please. Why did you have to be mean about it?”
“I thought that if I was nice about it she wouldn’t be able to move on. It’d get in the way of everything.”
“Samuel…” Neddy went on, “Doing that would only make things worse. Not everyone is as heartless as you.”
Samuel’s eyes widened, and his lips transformed into a frown.
“I am not heartless.”
“Yes you are Samuel, or you’d never do the things you’ve done since we’ve met. And I think it’s about time I call you out on it,” Neddy snapped. He snatched Samuel’s left wrist, and Samuel let out a yelp. Neddy peeled down his sleeves, revealing the blank wrist.
“Samuel. If we adopted your mindset, your belief that you have to do certain things for the greater good even if they’re ‘wrong’, then you wouldn’t even be with us. We’d have left you behind to die to the terror birds and the bees. You don’t even have an implant. Does that mean you’re worthless to your eyes? No. It doesn’t, you hypocritical arse.”
Samuel tugged his arm away from Neddy with a look of surprise.
“How did you know, only Aurora and Skyler-”
“You TOLD me the very first day, don’t you remember?”
Neddy groaned and rubbed his face with the palm of his hand.
“Just do better, okay? You’re a good person. I genuinely believe you chose to save me from that Dilophosaurus because it was the right thing to do, not because you saw me as useful. What’s a skinny human tracker gonna do anyway? So please, be better. Be the person your ‘best friend’ would want you to be.”
Neddy waved goodbye to Samuel, and began to head down the pathway toward the lake to meet up with Ruby and Aurora. Samuel sighed softly, looking on at him, before finally turning away and walking back into the cabin.
Neddy’s words plagued Samuel’s mind for the rest of the day, and they didn’t stop until they finally went to sleep.
~
It was a soft winter’s night. Snow blew on their front porch, piling up slowly. Samuel and his two parents were sitting at the dining table, preparing to eat their dinner. Samuel looked at his mother. She had just gotten back from work, and hadn’t even changed out of her police uniform yet. Her black hair was short and messy. Samuel’s father, on the other hand, was slicked back. One of the seats at the table remained empty.
“How was work today honey?” Father asked, his eyes glancing over at his spouse. Mother laughed.
“Pretty boring today. Just had to pull some people over who were violating traffic laws. Lucky me.”
“That’s good to hear.”
Samuel eyed the silver half-heart lockets that were slung around both his father and mother’s necks. Unlike most traditional marriages, both of them settled for these necklaces instead of rings. And instead of taking Warren’s surname, Justice, they decided that they’d both combine surnames and settle with that.
The result? Their new surnames would be Justone, and thus their children would also be Justones.
Father glanced over at the empty seat cautiously, and looked down the hallway where Samuel’s sister’s bedroom was located. It was unusually quiet. Eerily quiet.
“Samuel, could you go get Wren and tell her to come for dinner? We’ve been waiting half an hour already,” Mother requested.
“Perhaps she is still busy studying. We shouldn’t disturb her,” Father warned.
“That’s ridiculous, she needs her food! Samuel, go now. And please remind her to take her meds while you’re at it too.”
“Yes Mom.”
Samuel got up from his seat and walked down the hallway quietly. As he reached the door, the floorboards creaked underneath him. He gently knocked on the door.
Tap tap tap!
“W-Wren? Dinner’s ready.”
Samuel waited at the door. But nobody came. There wasn’t even the sound of soft footsteps to signify someone was coming to open the door. Samuel gently knocked on the door again.
Tap tap tap.
“Wren? This isn’t funny. Come out please.”
No response.
Samuel tried again.
Tap tap.
“Wren, come out already!”
Samuel couldn’t handle it anymore. He didn’t know why but his heart was beating against his chest. Something was wrong. He grabbed the door handle and quickly swung the door open.
A bottle of pills lay on the floor, its contents spilled out. Only a few remained. Samuel slowly looked up.
He felt his heart sink into a bottomless void, forever going on and on. He felt his jaw drop slightly. A red haze filled his vision, the same knocking of the door ringing in his ears.
“Wren?”
~
Samuel’s eyes jolted awake to the sound of scratching on the window. He could feel his heart hammer against his chest, as he took a moment to breathe.
“Wren,” Samuel muttered. Samuel clenched his fist as he lay in his bed. He shut his eyes tight, but the noises were still there. The knocking, his parents’ voices, his sobs. The scratching of the window.
SCRATCH, SCRATCH, SCRATCH!
Samuel stuffed his face in the primitive pillow.
“Leave me alone whatever that is, please,” Samuel muttered.
“Samuel!” a distorted voice cried out, “Pleasee… Helpp meeee!”
Samuel’s eyes opened in shock, bloodshot.
“Nova?”
Samuel quickly jumped out of his bed, grabbed a nearby spear, and rushed out of the cabin and to the back where the noise was coming from. As he ran, the crickets chirped and the owls hooted. The moon, which seemed larger than usual, shined right above him like the lamp his sister always used to study.
“Nova! I’m here to-”
Samuel paused right in his tracks, his eyes widened. Dead creatures lay everywhere, both his and Tiffany’s tames. Dodo feathers were sprawled about, and the dead corpse of Samuel’s raptor lay on the ground. The distorted noise of a radio crackled in the air, and a burst of a red haze appeared from around the corner of the cabin. Two talons grasped the corner of the wall, and a large albino raptor slowly emerged from the shadows. A red haze dissipated from its body, and it let out a soft cackle, unhinging its jaws to show its razor sharp teeth. Its ghostly eyes pinned to Samuel.
“Please don’t run,” Wren’s voice echoed from its mouth, “Hold still.”
Samuel turned around and ran.
Tales of Pandora
Origins of Salizar; Chapter 9 ~ Primalis’s charge ~
“Nice work Wretch, although I am sorry you had to lose your appendages in the process.” Ryker said. “Oh no worries at all, once I’m done with this! It’ll be an upgrade!” Wretch said. “If only that monkey were still around, we could use a hand with this. Literally!” Ras said bursting out into laughter. Wretch was using Ras’s one hood arm to help him build prosthetics out of some element Wretch stole from the victorious humans and some scrap they found. “Excited to have two hands back Ras?” Killion asked. “Hand? Nah bro I’m getting a sawblade.” Ras said the last word in a voice trying to make it sound cooler. “I’ve told you already Ras, I don’t have a sawblade, or the necessary fuel for one to work.” Wretch said. “Ugh fine.. one day… do we got KNIVES?!” He asked. “How should I know?” Wretch said. Ras looked at him with a very serious face, “Imma find some knives..”
Salizar and Phasma decided to part ways, Phasma had a Cult to rule and Salizar had a plan to innact. Salizar had nothing to do until the humans prepared for the megapithicus fight, so he spent his days dodging the task force and Ryker’s crew. One knight though, Primalis was invited to dine with King Drake and his war counsel. ‘This should be interesting..’ he thought. He put on his dark blue cloak and left the task force’s impromptu base, he rode his thylacoleo through the redwoods, passed the plains, and up the giant vines which connected “mount Olympus” as the humans called it, to the ground below. He left his mount with a stable boy who began to pet the neglected steed, Primalis cared very little for anything or anyone who wasn’t himself. He walked up the staircases and through the halls, until he reached the throne room door, the base’s steward was sitting there, waiting to introduce Primalis to the King. They entered the room and the steward announced Primalis, inside the room was the regular throne room things, except a modest table had been set up against the throne, the king sat in his throne while his Barons and War chiefs sat in less luxurious chairs. There was a seat left open to Primalis, the only seat at the other side of the table from King Drake. “Welcome Doctor. Have a seat.” The King said. “I was very pleased to get your invitation my liege. I must ask, why dine here and not the royal dining hall?” Primalis said. “I’ll make the rules in my castle Primalis.” King Drake said. “Of course my lord.” Primalis said sitting down. He felt slightly uncomfortable, but it also felt right to him to be so close to the king. “I wish to congratulate you on helping us achieve victory against that beast, without you we would have never known the Obelisks held such power.” The King said. “I can’t take all the credit, your majesty led his troops through the portal, killed the arachnid and made it out alive.” Primalis said. Some of the generals seemed annoyed at his statement. “SILENCE! I’ve had enough of your groveling Primalis! You forget to mention my men who died in that battle! And your own taskforce! I’d like to see you find an artifact alone.” King Drake snapped. “But my lord, they only succeeded through my leadership!” Primalis said forgetting his place. The King was stunned by his insolence, “Oh really? Well, let’s see if you can lead by example, you’ll find the next artifact, alone, or die trying.”
A while ago, I remember exploring around on a raft in the southeast corner of the map where there are lots of rivers. (Rivers usually mean spinos, especially when going east) I play on mobile, and I was the biggest wimp ever when it came to facing any threats bigger than a dilo or leaving my thatch house and 30 dodos, so this was a big step for me; (I live in the southwest corner of the map by red obelisk) but I was desperate for an equus. When looking, I found a pretty looking whiteish one and I fell in love with it. But then I realized it was a unicorn! I was so amazed but the area was far too dangerous for me to attempt taming it. With some creatures, if you get them onto your raft and sail over water that is too deep for it to swim in, it will usually freeze and stay on your raft. But unfortunately that is not the case for equus/unicorns. Trying this only brought the unicorn closer and closer to a spino that was only meters away. As you might have guessed, the unicorn trotted right up to it, and it killed the unicorn in two swipes and immediately aggroed onto my raft. I was absolutely horrified so I logged off, but I knew I couldn’t leave like that forever and had to save myself and my beloved raft; so I hopped back on and managed to get it distracted by some stegos that spawned in and managed to escape with my life. I did end up taming my first equus, but that’s a different story.(still have my raft to this day!) I have found out that they can only be tamed using griffin kibble, and plan on taming a griffin soon (once my allos actually start laying eggs, I’ve already had them for over a week and I’ve gotten absolutely nothing from 2 females.) Wish me luck on that. I have also recently gotten god console and have gotten revenge on the spino. I have found my unicorn for the 2nd time while exploring on my argy. I rescued it from some titanoboas and carried it back home and into a pen. #Holding it hostage until I get a griffin pair! Anyways, I just felt quite lucky that I managed to find it again and that I had my argy with me. Thanks for reading!
So I was heading to the cave in the middle of the island. On my way, I saw a unicorn for the first time. Took my argy and put it in a pen at my base. (Note I’m on mobile) I took rockarrots and tried to take the thing... nothing. The devs NEED TO FIX THIS. It’s insane how mobile players HAVE to use Griffin kibble, while everyone else can just use rockarrots. Please up for the devs to see.
The Riddles of the Phoenixes Series
The Lost Soul
Chapter four: An old friend
They came to a hall with photos hanging on the wall. Tom zoned back into focus and looked at the photos, boredly.
Whitney mistook it for interest. “Ah these are our family photos, see?” She said. “Yes I can see that..” Tom said drily. “Pretty obvious since y’all’s faces are all over the photos..” He thought. “There’s me, Mom and my Dad.” Lucas said pointing to a picture of a younger Whitney and Lucas. Whitney was standing, smiling, beside a man with dark colored hair and greyish eyes. On his shoulders sat a seven year oldish Lucas, laughing.
Tom hid a yawn. “So where is he now?” Tom asked. A cloud filled Whitney’s cheerful eyes. “He died. Several years back. When Lucas was just turning eleven. He fought in the war.” She whispered. “What war? Against what?” Tom asked, a uneasy feeling creeping upon him.
Whitney laughed darkly and Lucas lowered his head sadly. “Oh no one told us. It was some kind of battle against “monsters”. Apparently everyone’s help was needed. My husband was one of the men who was sent into battle. He never came back. They wouldn’t tell us how he died or anything.
We didn’t even get to bury his body. Apparently there was none to be found. Isn’t that crazy?” Tears gathered at the edges of her eyes. Lucas put a arm around her shoulders, supporting her. Tom swallowed, a million thoughts running through his head.
He already knew what the “monster” was that killed them. And he was staying in their hotel.
Finally they finished with the long boring(In Tom’s opinion) tour and Tom left to inspect his room. He decided to skip dinner, vetoing spending time with the family that he had killed the father of. Once in there, he locked the door behind him and drew the curtains. He unpacked his belongings which were the same as none and collapsed into the bed.
His forehead throbbed with a incoming headache which was normal…as always. Maybe sleep would wash it away. Maybe. Just maybe…
~
Running, always running. From what? He was never quite sure. As he ran tree branches snapped upon impact with his body and his feet trampled loudly through the leaves.
“TOOOOMMM….” A dark deep voice called. “Come to me.”
“Accept your fate.” He pushed on, trying to ignore it.
But it was hard. With every trip, every fall, he felt more frustrated. More likely to give in. “Toooommm…” The voice boomed. Tom gritted his teeth and pushed on.
On and on and on and on he went until finally…
He saw it. The light breaking through the dark forest, hitting the edge of the forest in its bright colors. Tom ran even faster.
Almost there. Almost away from his “fate”. “You can’t run from meee..” The dark voice growled. Rather strange since he was running…
And then Tom was there, panting heavily. The sunshine blinded him momentarily so he didn’t see it at first. He didn’t see her at first. Her. A woman. Her long blonde hair fell to her waist and her smile shone brighter than the sunshine itself.
That part of him that’d he’d lost long ago. Her blue eyes glittered with mischief. “Thomas.” She whispered. Tom broke through the daze and began to run toward her. “Leah!!” He called. She smiled. “Tom.”
It was like a dream. A little distance sat between them and yet the more Tom ran the farther away she seemed.
He tripped. A black vine was wrapped around his foot. Tom tried to pull away. The vine didn’t budge. “Leah!” Tom called. Two more vines wrapped around his other leg. He could still see her, still feel her. She smiled sadly. “I still love you.” She whispered. And then more vines began to climb all over him, writhing and squirming like snakes, choking him and holding him tightly in their grasp.
“Leah!!” Tom called desperately. She was so far away now that he barely heard her last words. “Remember me. Remember the way. The light always shines even when the darkness closes in, Tom. You hear me? Remember that. I love you.”
And then she was gone. Tom was swallowed up by blackness, swirling whirling darkness. Overwhelming darkness.
“You cannot run from me..” The dark voice called. “I’ve always been here and I’ll NEVER EVER LEAVE!!!”
~
Tom sat up abruptly, sweat dripping from his face. He wiped it away. Thump thump, thump thump. His headache pounded unmercifully at his brain. The sun shone in through the curtains and Tom slowly rose, dressed into day clothes, and pulled the curtains back.
The sun was indeed rising, the skies glowing vibrant shades of crimson and orange. Tom cracked his neck and sighed softly. Today was going to be a terrible day. Guaranteed.
Carefully he made his way out of the room silently, down the hall and downstairs.
Lucas popped up out of nowhere, startling Tom. “Ugh!” Tom exclaimed, almost tripping down the last stair. Lucas caught his arm, keeping him from falling.
Tom stood up, pulled away and nodded his thanks grimly.
“Sorry sir. Didn’t mean to scare ya.” Lucas said brightly. “Will you eat breakfast with us?” Tom shook his head slowly. “I’m sorry no. I must…tend to some business. I don’t know how long I’ll be staying here so I need to make some arrangements.” Tom said.
“Oh. Do you need my assistance getting around town?” Lucas asked. Tom raised a eyebrow. “No. Why?”
“Well…you’re a little old right? And you don’t know the town well..” Lucas trailed off. Tom sighed. “I’m sure I’ll be fine. I’ve made it this far in life I think I can make it a little longer…”
Lucas grinned. Tom did not. “Okay! If you say so!”
Moments later Tom was walking through the town square. People passed by, pulling wagons and working and chatting and smiling. He headed to the hill over looking the city and stood on top of it.
Then sat down. The wind blew warmly, making his cloak float slightly. Tom pulled it close around him. From up here the town seemed quieter. Almost…the same as it had been years earlier. Tom could almost see it as it used to be. He closed his eyes, enjoying the silence.
It was so silent almost like….when he was with her. He could almost feel her beside him.
Breathing, smiling, laughing—
*SNAP* A twig suddenly cracked and Tom leapt to his feet. “Who’s there?!” He called loudly. Shadowed eyes watched him from the forest.
Tom swallowed. “I’m warning you—show yourself!” Tom said. His hand went to his belt, a small dagger hid in the folds of his clothing. “Who’s the-” A black blurry object leapt forward and landed on his chest, knocking the breath out of Tom’s lungs.
Something was digging into Tom’s hand, keeping him from drawing his dagger. He looked up and blinked. The thing had one blue and one brown eyes. “Bella?!” Tom coughed. It was a dog. It was a Australian shepherd with dark and light brown and white fur. It’s tail wagged wearily and it gave Tom a nice long lick on the face.
Tom gagged. “Ugh. Bella get off me!” He coughed. She happily did so. Tom stood up, brushing dirt from his clothes.
He stared bewildered at his brother’s dog. “How in the world are you still alive?”

Unicorn Tales- a short story by Swamp Guy
So I’m on mobile and I have my base around the Footpaw area, at the West Zone 1 spawn point. I wanted to find and tame a Diplocaulus so I went to the swamp. I kept on searching but I couldn’t find one so I decided to keep on journeying. I kept to the shadows, unsure of where I was actually going.
Eventually, I made it to a small unnamed mountain in the Eastern Plains. I began to climb, until I finally saw an Equus near the peak.
But it wasn’t an ordinary Equus...
I managed to get a photo of the magnificent Unicorn before it ran away. I stumbled around until I somehow managed to get to Fars Peak. There I had suffered extreme fall damage, and I was killed by a saber tooth.
That is my story...
Hope you like
