They have huge hp pools, however they can get so swarmed by anglers that they get trapped inside and cannot be hit and slowly kill it. Keep a plieso or 2 on following and they can help keep your hitbox open.

The easiest way to get black pearls is a gasha as you can get hundreds of them and if you keep them in the crystals you won't have to worry about the wieght.

These are awesome! One thing to know is they can’t attacks enemies close up easily so eels and anglers can get you pinned in place. Use the grab to damage them all slightly and the anglers should run away for a bit. Then take care of the eels or run if you can to a better position. Almost lost a high level tuso today to this odd hit box. They aren’t completely immune to the jellyfish but you won’t get dismounted. Also if you grab an enemy and attack while grabbed it will drain life from the creature and heal faster.

So if you need to take one of these things go on multiple failing attempts then start looking for a mosa then you will find one trust me please

If ur ever find one and try to tame it and it says it don't wanna be tamed Right now you need a high health dinosaur then let it grab ur dinosaur and dismount ur dino and then feed it at least 100 black pearls or prime meat.

Easy Tame, swim up with a Meg and 50 Black pearls in your food slot, let it grab your meg than jump off and swim to it’s beak & feed pearls. Easy Tuso, watch out for eels and Mosa’s.

At lat 91.1 Lon 41.0 there should be at least one tusoteuthis getting escorted by electrophagus

If u want to breed them in an enclosed nursery, it has to be VERY BIG & VERY DEEP!

im told the 'hitbox' of the baby is as big as the adult, so we thought that was why an egg wouldn't leave the underwater incubator. However, after rebuilding the space big enuf to hold 2 adults, it still wouldn't hatch @ a depth of 4 walls.

Why does no one use these things to tame? You can easily tame anglers or even spinos/rexes on the shore! Completely resource free! Amazing!

Life hack for PC players that don't know this yet, go to crystal isles and explore the lower beaches, you'll encounter squids beached ashore, you should have the black pearls and any tanky mount, i used my HP like rexes so it just tickled them ez.

Get your dino in between the tentacle area then punch the tuso in the mouth till it agros, then feed. I'll usually let go of your mount due to world collish but you can just agro it again when it's ready to eat. - Survivor Kure

If one pushes you under the mesh hop off soon as it grabs and whistle your tame passive and to follow.Or suffer the consequences.

I found one of these thing and I never want to again I divided I wanted a new water creature cause I haven’t tamed one for a wile and when I saw it I had to have it then it Grabes my sarco and he was gone all most instantly not even flak armor will protect you so if you see one don’t lose a lvl 348 just get the heck out of there

i play on a non official pc session, pve. taming is boosted 5x so every tuso tames with one feed, even max level (with black pearls). if you play on a similarly boosted server they are SO EASY to tame. its absurd. i used a stupid maewing to tame them. you swim up to it, once it grabs you dismount and swim up to its beak (make sure pearls are in right hand slot) and feed it. on a 5x tame server, you now have a teuso. up this if you play on a slightly boosted pve server so people can know how easy it is to get these solid water tames

I NEARLY DIED from that thing so be careful

These are a little weaker than mosas in the base damage department but they can't be grabbed by other squids and jelly stings don't eject you from the saddle like the mosa so most ppl prefer squids

You could use one of your creatures as bait so when it attack’s it won’t attack you
