One spawned right in top of me, and began flying close to the ground.

Like an idiot, I thought it was a Tapejara, and threw my bolo at it.

It was only when I realised it wasn't what I thought it was, and was a passive tame, that I left it behind.... It chased me all over the mountain.

Every time I thought I was free, and began looking at dinos to tame, it appears like the embodiment of winged death.

Eventually it knocked me off my Dino, into a pit of 5 hungry dire wolves, and myself and my max level iguanadon died.

Always double check your target before attacking.

Easy method for passive filters build trap big enough for it lure in with rare flowers riding a pteranadon once aggression goes away tame.

I found it very easy to use a snow owl if you have one. Let's say it's just floating up there in the sky and you can't seem to get it down. Use the freeze ability and it will force it to land, where then you can proceed to chain Bola it from a ground unit. It won't cause aggro to freeze it either so there's that. I did the same thing with a quets and it was relatively the same results, except the quets took back off again after about 3 seconds or so.

To take the tropeognathus, chain bola it and feed it a food of your choice. if you try to tame the tropeognathus without a chain bola, it will likely grind your armor.

To that a hole saying a command is the easiest way. Not everyone just uses a little cheat book to get what they want here. Some line the satisfaction of working for that feeling.

Btw they attack back and they hurt

It’s a non violent tame so don’t tranq it use bola to drain food and chain bola to tame it is a carnivore and is nuetral I hope this was useful good luck

Uhhh don’t be dumb like me and think it’s a knockout tame

To tame it, use a chain bola to trap it, then feed it kibble/raw meat. They’re neutral, which means they’ll only attack if provoked (the chain bola will aggro them)

As of July 2nd 2020, they no longer give hard poly when grinding. :(

Kill Tapejaras as it share its spawn with them. I killed a few Tappy then 3 of them spawn in a row. On Rag, they are found on long 25. Found two different spawn so far, near blue ob and above green ob, always on long 25.

Single player uses:

1. Travel mount: Tropeognathus' speed without a saddle is slow af, but put a saddle and give it some gasoline and it's the fastest thing in the game.

2. Wyvern egg stealer: Seems obvious

3. Giga killer: The grenades can be slightly expensive with how many are needed, but Tropeognathus can kill basically any land animal in ark

This is easily the fastest dinosaur in the game with the super boost and dive bomb I was able to cross valguero in less than 30 seconds

They spawn in the forest near the birch forest in fjord

The main reason I would tame one is for the grinder effect that it has

U can ride these without the saddle but u won’t get the jet boosts and missiles. They are also the biological version of a grinder. Use chain bolas on them and passive tame. Keep them bolaed bc they will kill u.
