Just timed a 145 between feeds at ~32 minutes on Official servers running the 4x taming event. Only 4 Exceptional Kibb required to perfect tame, but I strongly recommend building yourself a trap within render range of your base so you can do something besides watch them aggro and de-aggro for two hours.

Just an fyi you can use normal bolas and chain bolas so just bola it put 3 gates across it and then its trapped to tame

For console player thay spawn where tapes spawn but a lot rarer

Tamed one today, MAKE SURE IF YOU HAVE IT TRAPPED YOU DONT GO OUT OF RENDER DISTAMCE OF IT, IT WILL GLITCH OUT OF THE TRAP, also a whip is good to bring because it if picks you up you can whip it and it will drop you. Also if you have it trapped whip it so it doesn't move then close your door!

Not sure if many know about this but you can drop the tropes food quickly by putting it in a chain bola every so often. Don’t feed it when it’s in a chain bola, just hit it with it and let it try and chase you/attack you when it is freed (whilst it’s still in a trap obviously). After it has been chain bolad a few times it’s food will have dropped by a huge amount which is when you should begin the feeding.

So I did some experimenting with the tropeo and the best way to tame it is to attack it and let it kill you a few times and only fight back a little. Doing so drains the tropeos hunger by a ton I tamed one with only one chain bola because its food was so low. Make sure people know.

It’s food doesn’t go down if it’s aggro on you. Sit on a wyvern near trap and wait to avoid getting its aggro

If you punch it when it grabs you off your mount it will let you go. Just keep punching. Make sure you have a parachute. And if you wear armor, hardly no damage. It tells you on the screen in red. Punch till no red.

This might be different for other people, but the time in between feeds for taming is 35 minutes (feeding intervals=35 minutes)

The Tropeo’s food goes down really slow during taming. In order to speed this up, once bola’d and before you feed first kibble, shoot the Tropeo with rifle or crossbow a couple of times. When the bola timer runs out, the Tropeo will start flying and food instantly decreases. Then bola again and start feeding process

Interval between feeding seems to be ridiculously long! Not sure if it bugged for me but it took like an hour between first and second feed

While trapped and immobilized with a chain bola, deal damage to the tropeognathus before feeding it. Let it escape from the bola and then knock it down again. This will significantly reduce it’s food and increase the taming speed. It also does not reduce the taming effectiveness!

This thing can fit through a giant hatch frame I have done it before it didnt stop my tropeognathus.

These guys while in jet mode can damage tek with there grenades they shoot from it and metal and stone and all other structure types but the tek damage is very low the max armor for an this guys saddle is 500 the number of armor determines the grenade attack with the gun also make sure your not holding the forward key or stick or else If you shoot a grenade in jet mode your gonna either kill your tropeognathus or damage it becuase the grenade hits it sometimes.

This thing can be affected by normie bolas and chain

Easily found on console within extinction. Tamed 7 mid to high leveled ones last night all up high around sanctuary East. Go near the coliseum and over by the water fountain looking thing and search above that in the sky near the overhead bridge. Lots of them in that area was seeing 3 or 4 at a time sometimes. Upwoot for best interest.

Tropeo will say it does not want to be tamed if it isn't Bola'd.

When taming if it’s targeting you it’s food goes down slower so stand back for faster tame
