I just reallised that they revive themselves so noy only do you have to deal with them alive but also dead if you can just avoid them if not collect the tiny amount of chitin they give

There is a weird bug in mobile, where if you killed the flying ones(Titanomyrma Soldiers) and don't harvest them.-which I like to call send them to hell.

After a few second the resurrected and haunt you for the rest of your life...

I hate these mega ants so much because they spawn so often near you and attack you when you want build something or you are in your inventory or riding you dino then they attack you and you cant really kill them so good when you are riding a dino. For me that are the most annoying creatures in the game

If you are in early game without a decent tame they will kill you and camp your stuff.

Strange thing, it seems that on mobile at least the drones(ground ants) aren't actually outright aggressive. The flying soldiers are, and will track u through the entire map if u let them. But the ground based ants only follow the flyers. Once u killed the flyers without damaging the ground ants they will crawl towards u..and stop just short of touching. Kind of like the pulmonoscorpius. They do attack if u attack them first or if u touch them but they don't just bite u outright like the flyers do.
