Thylo's and R- Thylo's are in Fjordur. Both prowling around in the redwoods. I love these things. Anytime I want hide, which is often cause saddles need a ton, I hop on a Thylo and wreck all the carnivores in the area. I'm on the plains and this thing takes out packs of feathery raptors and rexes with ease. If I get in a tricky spot I just climb up the nearest cliff face or jump and run away. They are amazing and I recommend everyone have a few of them.

Good mount if for some reason you can’t tame a flyer. And just a good tame in general.

Not sure why these are low on the chart for keratin these seem to gather better than the sabre if your thyla is high level mine have been gathering 30-40 of turtles so my opinion these prob number one for me

This creature is the one of the top 3 best land travel mounts(not including flyers) and has great stamina excellent health and good damage

Levels 1-20 good against dilos and traveling

20-50 can kill raptors and better at traveling

50-100 can kill carnos and bears with ease

100+ can take on alpha raptors and rexes

Anybody know what the roar is for? Also is the bleeding damage auto with the main attack? I'm on Xbox so the only buttons that seem to do anything are the right trigger (attack) and right stick (roar) been googling for a bit and I'm not getting much outside of that so any comments are appreciated. Sorry if this is the wrong place to be asking but I figured it'd help others that are looking too...

Easily my favorite creature, gathers meat and hide like a champ. Strong and fast, climbs redwoods and mountains. Not an easy tame unless you trap it or drop with quetzal in a taming area. Likes cooked meat

Take one out into the deep sea with above 2k stam and 600 meleee and about 90p oxygen and you can kill anglers and get 190-180 gel per angler

They seem to be great hide/pelt gatherers. 34 pelt from a wolf by the thylacoleo compared to 20 gathered from a wolf by a wolf.

I am having success in the Island Snow Cave with a thyla and a good saddle. Keep moving and jump over the bad stuff.

Bring Cryopod and good thyla to scorched caves these things are godlike they are small and bleed make rubble golem killing much easier

Note: probably good for most caves but I only tried scorched caves

Can I just say the wall climbing ability is the best feature in the game

These are kinda good for some bosses as front-line men with their bleed just mutate health/melee and level both of those and stamina at most

When you encounter this creature...make sure you know where lamb sauce is...WHERES THE LAMB SAUCE!

These guys are the bane of soakers one bite dose

5%heath for 5 seconds it cannot stack so

100% heath in 100 seconds

So you are able to kill any creature in 100 if you bite it correctly

Careful while climbing, rare tendency to keep climbing up even after the thing your climbing has ended. Ended up dying cuz it fell when it ran out of stamina.

It can climb, jump, and swim well.

I had a level 258 thylacoleo that I deeply adored. I got pulled off my saddle and killed by a sarco. I lost her for a week until I found her again. I got attacked by a Rex and died and lost her again for two days. I found her again and while trying to rescue a tribe member from a shark, I got cornered by jellyfish and she was killed.

Moral of the story, they may seem unstoppable, but you must always respect the jellyfish.

It does 5% of any creatures health so they can kill about anything in 100 seconds.

At least they’re a pretty good traverse creature and have bleed.
