Encountering Tips

How do I kill a thylacoleo? thylacoleo battling strategies in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
They are not as scary as they seem. They will always stand out on the low-middle part of the tree without leaves. Just be careful if you're moving through any packed tree clusters because it could be waiting just out of view on the other side, circle the area at a distance if you want to be absolutely sure. I've played since 2017 and only ever been dismounted once. If anything, their aggro range when you're on foot is pretty far
All I’m saying is don’t fly any type of bird near it it’ll knock you off and kill you
Monkey plus lion equals this. When I encounter this animal, they are usually on the side of trees on the redwood area like monkeys. They look and sound like tigers... I guess they're both monkey and tiger.
You can fight this bad boi even when he grabs you. Just make sure you have a decent sword and good armor, and you should be fine. I got grabbed off my argi and I just started swinging. It died, and I didn’t. Proceeded to find one, haul it back to my base and tame it
I found one of this creature in Redwood while searching for Honey , he jump on me .
Haven't tried this yet But it might work set your flyer to Passive flea so when a Thylacoleo tries to attack you You're flyer will run away and not die to Any of the creatures Below Hope this helped😅
If you can get higher than the trees than the thylacoleo, thyla, won't be able to jump and hit you.
WATCH. THE. TREES. I cannot stress this enough. They hide near the top of redwood trees, and when they get a chance, they will pounce. They can take you right off the back of any mount, whether you are on a flying Dino or a grounded one. They wrap themselves around you and there is no escape. Just watch the trees and don’t let your guard down.
And this is the reason why I don’t bring my highest level pts or argys while making a trip through the redwoods 🥲
Carry a good sword on your hot bar
These are incredibly easy to see. They just sit in trees in weird yoga poses. Dont let it fool you it can jump well over 20 meters and kill your neuteral quetz. A level four can take care of you no problem.
A couple friends and I were starting up on a pve server recently and a majestically bearded man fell from the heavens and delivered a lvl 350 to us for no reason. Needless to say I am now the apex predator of the valley. This jungle cat at a high level will kill damn near any alpha no problem. It also will climb shear mountain cliffs no problem. Definitely look to tame a high level now that it does bleed damage.
I was flying on my Griffin and one jumped out and I panicked and flew up and the thyla started to fly after me for a good three seconds. I lost 500000 brain cells on the spot.
Use a Dino that can carry a parasaur, then make sure the parasaur is on turret mode. Then fly above trees while carrying the parasaur and you’ll see the thyla red mark on a tree.
If you wanna counter a thyla when it jumps you whistle attack target on it and pull out the highest damaging thing in your hotbar , good luck.
I had 6 Raptors. Lvl 12, 35, 42, 57, 81, and 97. I now have no Raptors. I don't even know what happened. They were there then.....blood. blood everywhere.
The sky cannot keep you free
If you fly up high near my tree
You might end up dead
Out here in the Red
If you dont fear what you can't see.
Watch your back, tamers!
My favorite bear cat tames, least favorite wolf encounter next to micro raptor. Take a high health/stam tap, smack it out of the tree and kite it to a trap. Easy to tranq.
I play official and tame these like this. No problem.
Don’t fly below the big fat trees because they cling to a tree and will jump on you and push you of
Never fly close on bread the trees bc these things cap here harder than bush campers in fortnite
