My first encounter of this

I was going to my friends base through the redwoods with my wyvern he had gifted me. I flew a little too low and then a thylacoleo jumped on me and ripped me off my wyvern Venom. The thylacoleo murdered me. I asked my friend about Venom, she was okay. I took my ptera and flew to the spot. Not going to redwoods for a while. Scared the heck out of me.

Look out for them when traveling through the redwood forest, they sometimes spawn on trees and can jump, they dismount you from the dino and are dangerous to fight alone. Got dismounted by one from my argent, managed to survive but got separated from tje bird, took me 30 min to find it.

Bait them out by floating across the redwoods on an archa, then get them stuck and start shooting.

What I like to do when I tame them is fly up really high so they can’t get me find a good level one and try to find a place were it’s safe and place bear traps down and hide behind a bear trap

Thylas are the best dinos to take for artifact hunting above ground & Basilos for underwater. B.C(Before cryopods) tribes would breed a pair of them outside the ice cave & then have the baby follow inside the cave & raise Thylas there. Compared to Sabers & Baryonyx, Thylas have more utility & have both overpowered stat wise.

They want titanoboa egg kibble and they prefer the cooked variants rather than the raw variants and it’s more efficient if you build a trap and shoot it with tranq darts

Can I just say the wall climbing ability is the best feature in the game

Fun fact: Thylacoleos were marsupials, meaning they had a pouch, kind of like a kangaroo!

I was flying with my petradon (Petra near the ground, out of nowhere he jumped at me killed me killed Petra

Tip: don't fly near the ground

I took a hole day searching for one and then I found it then it got killed by a woolly mammoth

These now do a slow draining bleed from their primary attack!

Place large bear traps down in front of the tree it's on (if your lucky to find it on a tree) shoot it in the face with a tranq dart and wait for it to run into the trap be bewear it breaks out fast so have extra bear traps or it will fuck your days and your tames day too

So good can climb and is more OP then a dire bear definitely recommend taking one heck there even good for end game and pvp

EZ way to find them on Lost Island. Fly to the green obelisk then sight a little round island on desert shore, fly straight for that island then sight large black jutting rock formations. They can be found near those formations and along the desert boundary on the right and behind the jutts. I took a wyvern and built a low level trap, picked up a 140 and a 130 yday. Bring cryopods for easy transport..

The first time I tamed a Thylo I didn’t use a gillie suit, the second time I did it I was wearing my gillie suit and I didn’t get pounced as much. It really helped when finding/taming them. Try it out! I hoped works for all of y’all!!

My brother calls them thylacalicos. ALSO

In crystal isles they wander around the entrance to the Griffin canyon and the areas around there.
