I just started out on ark a month ago and encountered this devil shortly after starting out my first base, it killed me and all my dinos proving to be a nightmare, turns out the only way I was able to end this was with a sh#t load of trank arrows and berries. Every attempt to kill it ended in tradgedy :(

When taming, try to use a trap.I tamed a level 150 using my taming raft built with wooden windows. Definitely helped prevent dying while I tranqed it.

Warning.. you can only use crops if u have 1,000 narcotics or more

Put down about 4 foundations, and 2 high walls of doorframes (stone preferably) and a ramp to get up, get a shield and kite the chicken up the ramp and into the pen to tranq

Itll do damage to the stone structures but not nearly enough to cause worry (the one I trapped was doing like 1 damage every swing) after you trap it simply shoot it to bring it down

Keep in mind a high level theory will more then likely knock out your shield in just a few hits. It's more a emergency case thing then any thing, try and keep your distance they are fast but if you set the trap close enough you'll be fine

The best way to knock out a thriz is to mount a steggo and shoot it with nark arrows. Worked for me. Careful,it will run away and run fast, faster than raptors.

If you have god console grind a bunch a berries and speed 400%

You can not out run this herbivore so get the high ground and it is a hard hitter.

Use a supplement I use 1 and it almost instantly tamed

Keep in ming that you do not have to have a battle every time you want another therizinosaurus. You only have to capture one male and one female. They are very good bodyguards and aren't very high maintenance. Just be sure to keep some fertilized eggs on ice just in case they all die.

Takes forever to tame don't suggest doing it right befor you are about to bed. Also are not the easiest to knock out but once all of that is done it is a great tame. Gathers wood, berries, FIBER, meat, FIBER, FIBER

If taming on foot or a land mount be careful to wear decent armour (200+). It has a headbutt attack which deals torpor and can hit you on your mount. High melee Zinos can knock armorless players out instantly.

I feel like the theri’s saddle is way to high level. I tamed one of these guys when I was lvl 31 and had to wait a long time before getting the saddle.

Try to find a short rock to stand on if you can’t afford a trap if your a solo when the their approaches you while you are on high rock put two stone+ Dino gates behind the theri then knocked it out it likes Mejoberries the best

To knock this thing out you need a high spot where they can't reach you. They like crops more than berries, so get some carrots to tame it.

Everyone says these guys are powerful. Not to me! I practically live next to them. I adapted to them and I already have about 5. All you need to do is get on a rock where they can’t reach. Then load them with tranq arrows or darts. I make a lot of kibble, so taming them is not to difficult to me. But still be wary of these creatures as they do kill you and your Dino’s fast.

Block of a path with stone pillars, lead it into the pillars( close enough together that only you can slip through). While it attacks the pillars tranq it with tranq arrows and a crossbow- you don’t really have to wait between shots since it’s health is really good (800ish for lvl. 1). If it’s a level one, it goes down fairly quick. Taming process can take an hour or two. For me, it took about 160 narcotics, so be prepared. Be careful though, majority of tickle chickens are in dangerous areas and it’s hard to lure them out. Good luck!
