This guy is a really stubborn tame!

But personally, my favourite method is to find one on my Ptera, land on a high up rock or cliff side where it can’t get me, have 20+ tranq arrows, more depending on how high a level it is, and shoot it continuously till it drops, be warned! It will try to run away once it’s high on torpor. Make sure to have plenty of narcotics, 80+ bio-toxin works like a treat, lure the jellyfish near the surface by getting in the water, then go on land and shoot them and harvest their jelly. Also make sure to have atleast 1000+ mejo berry’s on you for it since they work or use a special kibble for them. But this way is the easiest if you hate making traps like me. Its torpor goes down very quickly.

1. Build a pitfall trap (2*2 or 2*3) build up each side at least two walls tall out of door frames (wood works, but for anything over lvl 50 i recommend using stone). Add a ramp going up one side into the trap

2. Load up on tranq ammo i recommend being over prepared in example if your using a crosbow 100 rounds outta to the trick but for a bow bring 150

3. Set a bed outside of the trap with a storage box to put your taming gear (weapon, ammo, sleeping agent(i.e narcotics), and taming food)

4.lure to trap, if your a low level i recommend riding a dino into the trap hopping off and running. If you have tames use a flyer to fly over the trap, or i prefer using an iguanadon to jump over the pit trap from the top of the ramp(it dose clear a three foundation gap at 108% move speed).

5. If you died spawn on the bed Asap, otherwise get into your taming gear and begin shooting the therizinosaurs with your tranq ammo being weary to not over shoot an loose tameing effectiveness.

6.maintain its torpor by feeding it the prepared or gathered sleeping agent. On standard single player settings it may talk a very very long time to tame if you use berries like me so keep a watchful eye

AFTER: when you have the therizinosaurs, you have the vegitarian rex. It is a berry eater so yo wont get any fast health by eating. But from my experience anything lower in level than it on the island is pretty much screwed until its dealt with. Along with its decent combat its a fantastic gather of many things. Hope this helps

They have ai so when trying to tame it instead of sitting on a cliff with a way up next to it try and use a trap

First do the megapihrana quest u will get soothing bald then find a low level theri then stand on a high Rock then Shoot Him with tranqs bring a couple narcotics with u

I suggest to make Dino gates as a walk way trap super easy to trap

Someone help. Im trying to tame a theri on mobile but i dont wanna spend hours making nacrotics and i dont know how to make kibble and each time i knock one out it eventually wakes up and i have been trying tutorials but nothing works

Don’t tame them until you have unlocked their saddle or gotten a note for it. Their saddles provide armor and they are useful, I use mine to kill other therizinos because I got lucky and was able to tame a level 209 even though I was at level 36 they are good protection. But unless you have their saddle you cannot harvest things with them. (You could set them on wandering but they don’t harvest that much. There is also the risk of them getting lost) also, another person said you need 70 narcotics. That’s an unreliable number and you would actually need about 400. I also recommend having a trike nearby to gather more narcoberies.

In fewer words. They are great at almost everything. But a hassle to tame

The most effective way I found to tame a level 81 and lower was to get 10 bear traps and the crossbow with 90 tranq arrows. Take the bear traps place them in wide area like 3 traps wide and bait him to step on one then after he is baited take the other unused traps and build a another trap line and shoot him in quick succession. After doing this for a while he should be knocked out, I suggest u get some soothing balm and 300 narcotics or a ton of narco berries, these mfs can drain torpor really quick, after that u can just tame away. Up so other people can see

Get it stuck somewhere like between rocks or something than Use about 17 Tranq arrows depends on the Level and than get Lots a Mejoberrys and wait you will need about 20 Narcotics and boom you have a theriz it’s better to use a Rifle or a Crossbow

Mines tan with blue and black feather 45% done taming

Even for a level 30 I had to use roughly 100 narcotics

1.shoot the theri with tranq dart

2.Lead it in-between to metal billboard so it gets stuck

3.Fill the thing with tranqs until it starts running

4.Tranq it out and feed it berries!!

Build a 3 by 3 and 2 high stone pillar trap and put a big bear trap towards the end and lure the homie in close of the end u left opened with stone pillars and to have it not move as much put another stone pillar behind it in the middle

To tame it you will need a trike with high hp. And sit on top of a cliff or a rock and shoot it with tranq arrow or tranq darts etc. And you will need so many narcotics to tame it so come prepared and you can tame it with veggies and berries.THANK YOU

Easy take a slingshot with 180 rocks 30 berries and a soothing balm (u can get one from megapirahna hunt) and shoot the bird don’t forget to go on a high rock and after u knock him give him soothing balm and berries I tamed mine at level 11 he is with me till level 75
