These guys are NOT that hard to tame. U dont even need to build a trap all ur need is a crossbow, 30 tranq arrows and like 2-3 large bear traps. Dont forget to bring balm as those are almost impossible to tame without balm.

Thea guys special ability is tickling fiber bushes and killing the berries and getting a lil bit o’ fiber

Put they’re really good at getting wood and have a reduction on amirgris and sulfar. And they are a farmer they farm: human corpses and they murder children and babies for no reason except too laugh but make deadly tames and they kill they one kind and they torchur babies and burn babies and throw babies out windows and drowned babies .

Am on 63 level and I accidentally found this girl wandering alone outside my base and you know what happen after that.

I build a 2×2 trap

And then i put her inside.i sleept on bed i wake up and i have 2choices to knock her down

1.crossbow

2.longneck

You know i choose to give her my longneck blow**b

Then she tired after 2-3 minutes and felt down to ground.

With 0 food bar.

I give her my 🥕 she stars eating and got her tamed i can f*ck her anytime now...

How to easily tame this creature and how to encounter

How to tame just find a rock and some tranq bullets or arrows

Hey, I was chilling just making my base until this guy just spawned out of nowhere. I’m like oh hell no I’m gonna get my tranquilizer and I heard that he broke something but then I went back to my base. Nothing was broken so but you guys gotta watch out this guy a menace.

Narcotic only last ten seconds before needing to apply it again. Watch the torpor and adjust accordingly. Should bring between 100-300 narcotics, it will be a slow grueling process.

Lead this thing through 4 stone dino gateways spaced far enough apart to fit a human then close the gate of the last one, quickly run back close the gate of the first one now you have it trapped and you can tranq it

It will also damage the gates whemever it does the headbutt attack but only deal damage in the single digits or even 1 damage.

HOW TO TAME THERI (from experience)

This is the ultimate gatherer you will probably ever have, though not for the faint of heart. I used a rock method, and began chasing it when it ran only to be killed shortly after. Don't fall for this fakeout! Guarantee your knockout with this simple method:

PREPARATIONS

- 4 stone gateways & doors

- Tranq/biotoxin arrows, bow or crossbow!

- Decent mount for getaway

- Mejoberries or preferred kibble

- Narcotics

THE TRAP

Place your gateways in a square shape, but DON'T snap them together! Have some gaps between so you can run in/out while also being able to shoot through. Test it a few times and see if you have enough wiggle-room!

Find your Theri and lead them to the trap. Be sure to have one door open! Once it's inside, slither out through your gaps and close it shut.

Theris can't attack your trap super easily, but might damage the doors. It won't be too much damage, but do not leave your Theri unattended.

THE KNOCKOUT

Unleash all your wrath on the amount of times you lost everything to this tickle chicken, and shoot the living crap out of it with arrows.

Once knocked out, shove at least a full stack of berries, or some of its kibble, and narcotics- LOTS of them!

(I'm not talking about 40-50, you'll need a bit more if you don't like topor around half)

just spent an 1h and 1/2 trying to tame a lvl 15 therizinosaurus, used majo berrys and i used around 150 narcotics to get it to 44%!!! how much am i going to neeeeedd? dodex said 44… that was awfully off lmao> it eventually woke up bc i couldn’t keep up

I literary tamed 4 of them. They are really hard to tame or easy i don't know but they're strong

They need to give this dude a ability kinda like the Megalo but where they can pick you up with they’re claws when they add the tlc

Easy way to tame one is with a trap. But if you have that jumping spider mod, bite them until they get knocked out.

If you're wondering why your armor somehow breaks in 3-5 hits +you die when you're trying to kill a theri by yourself with a melee weapon, its cuz theris deal way more damage through armor than most other creatures.

This also applies to the manta

For taming I used this tactic, which needs at the first try some practice but later on it’s a very simple method for early-mid game

The materials you need:

-at least 4 large bear traps (I usually take more with me, not only bc “just in case”, I’ll explain it further later on)

-a crossbow with trunk arrows

-narcotics (at least 100)

-either mejoberries or Exceptional Kibbles

How to do it:

First you have to find one (what a surprise) in a more or less open field (just for better overview and control, can also work in more enclosed areas like forests). Than you place in a good distance (so that you can still hit the devil of the carnivores with the crossbow, but at the same time you safe) the (first) 4 bear traps in the shape of a Iozenge in front of you.

-Before I continue with the Tip I first explain the trick with the bear trap placement: that shape of Iozenge is very flexible because of two advantages you get from it:

1. You can easily change your position paralleli how the Theri is changing positions, so the Theri, if he is Argoat you, has to pass first always at least 3 of the 4 traps

2. If you are not sure if that 4 traps are enough to keep you safe, you can always place more traps on the side, where the Theri is currently, so that the Theri has still to pass first a good amount of traps if he is changing position (in short you are correcting your trap very easy with this shape)

And the good think is that this shape works for every other bigger creature, that is fast and moves alone-

(We’re back at taming) Next you go a bit in front of the traps (optional if you think you’re to far away, but than immediately go back behind the traps) and shot an arrow at this chicken to agro him.

Now he runs towards you in to a small puddle of bear traps he has to cross first and in that time you shot at him all the time with your arrows. As soon as the chicken falls asleep the procedure is very easy: collect all bear traps, feed the tickle chicken with Narcotics (Many Narcotics bc his torpor rate is lowering fast) and either Mejoberries or Exceptional Kibbles (with kibbles it’s faster ofc)

And well done: you have your personal devil chicken which will be your best friend for many resources and a strong defense (this monster can shred a Rex into Schnitzel if he is at some levels above the Rex):D
