Since my first day on Ark, this thing has terrorized me. He just walks around my base, completely destroys it and kills every dinosaur I own. So I wanted to get revenge and tame him. Most awful experience I ever had in my life but hey, now I have this thing standing infront of my base doing absolutely nothing all day.

These are exetremly deadly. They ignore armour, do a lot of damage in general, and have a decent health pool. But, they're slower than a rex, so you have a chance to out run one if it's chasing you.

FOR MOBILE PLAYERS ONLY:

Use soothing balm (any version is tremendously helpful), because the grind to get Megalocerous Kibble is too stupidly hard to be worth it. Just get mejoberrys or crops (WITH THE SOOTHING BALM)

The soothing balm is only obtainable through either watching an ad, which is inefficient. Or buying it with Ancient Amber which you can specifically watch an ad for, then buying it.

This guy killed me when I had a lvl 91 pteranodon and a crossbow with tranq arrows. I shot him in the head more than 6 times and that guy did not stop tearing my tame to shreds. My tame did not fight back for some reason even though He had just fought some dilos before hand. This guy will destroy you even if you think you’re stacked. Also, make sure the rock you shoot from is impossible to climb on because I made that mistake and it cost me my best tame and over 300 arrows along with all my metal tools and weapons.

Therizinos aré arguably one of the best tames.

Theire quite fast. Strong and EXELENT farmers, they can farm mushrooms,hide,quitin, Wood, although lack Weight reduction on these, and Berrys and Fiber.

Have damage reduction on fire witch makes them actually a good option to beat the Dragon.

Quite hard to tame due to theire torpor drain but totally worth it.

Stupid super-chicken

On Fjordur, this things agro range is much shorter btw. It can still attack u, but dont think u can pluck a feather without him biting, he is still the danger chicken u know.

To the npc who posted a awful taming method but somehow got over 1100 likes, a theri requires 275 narcotics per hour and a high level will be a 8 hour tame using mejoberries, no one cares that you play with 20x taming and dino lvl cap 10, on official settings a lvl 150 must be tamed with the appropriate amount of exceptional kibble, with a heavy stockpile of narcotics, must be trapped while knocking out or it will rupture your guts. Pls do not read npc posted tips unless you play with their settings...

Bolas are NOT effective, so keep this in mind before you make the same mistake I did.

This thing gathers fiber by literally the THOUSANDS. not sure how it isn’t listed as #1 for it. It’s “alt” attack is what gathers it.

Fun Fact

If you take these things into a cave, the only thing that will aggro on them is a megalosaurus. I took Tickle Fingers on a chitin run, and the only thing after to eat my tail was nothing. I wandered into that cave like it’s a daily thing. Of course I had centipedes, snakes, Scorpions, and spiders after my blood because I impaled some of their friends with my fingers of doom. Perfect for chitin runs for caves

Like this thing?Ok here’s how to tame, but things you will need to tame six-Spartan (because of its claws), narco berries or a trike to gather them, crossbow, tranqs (stunning, darts, arrows pick your fancy.), and last a gooood rock or trap! (Btw this works on all versions but I was on mobile ultimate)

Ok so lead murder chicken over to rock or trap and beware for rock! These can climb some rocks if they slope down to them so get an overhanging one if possible. He will run when your tranqs sink into its hide but it has bad torpor resistance so will be knocked out very quickly. Narco and mejo berries go into inventory (so you can tame it)(narco berries 300 this is when I said trike and mejo 100-150 will do.). Check on theri very often and let it’s torpor drain a substantial amount before shoveling narco berries in its throat ( these are better than actual narcotic for some reason?) it will tame in anywhere from 10-50 minutes. This is the most badass mount out there and you now have one!

Get yourself a flyer and take shots one at a time

Get on a rock that’s high enough that it can’t reach and too difficult to get on by yourself (with the use of jumping or any flying creature) then tranq arrow it until if goes unconscious, if you can get up on the rock easily so can any creature (this works with any aggressive creature that will attack you if you attack it)
