Stryders seem to be wayy underrated on my server. If you link them up to a dedicated storage box then they are soo awesome for farming. (Nothing better than resources automatically going into your boxes) and they harvest a lot of stuff too. They can harvest almost anything from anywhere on the map as far from your base as you’d like

Try to tame them in the flattest area possible to prevent them getting stuck. If you have a skiff you can carry them to the metal bridge in the center of the map. They seem to have fixed the issues with lag so lag spikes shouldn’t mess up your taming progress.

Get one with the packs, link it to dedi storage after its inventory is full, example metal, the metal will automatically unload into the dedi storage box. If you got multiple resources, you can auto unload by changing the link for each resource.

Useful for gathering ele shards fast. (Anky is better for hard ele)

The drill attatcent can sync to a tek dedicated storage. Like it to a raw metal dedi and do a metal run toss everything in it iventory and the metal will transfer to a dedicated storage

Absolute best first tame, establish some levels and a base while you wait for the black pearl biome (ambergris asteroids you should use an anky or metal pick but I’m going to assume you don’t have those at the moment) and you’ll also wanna complete missions while waiting, then get about 20 mutagel since that can tame yourself a decent level (I got a lvl 60 for 13 mutagel) just pick up the huge pearls on the asteroids, they make an amazing taming perch since they’re so tall nothing can hit you, PRO TIP: put a balloon underneath its butt then send it off for quick-ish transportation and to get to places you can’t get to via mission pads

There is currently a work around for not enough missions for high level stryders you have to complete levels of the survive the ark mission each level has 10 waves and each level completed counts as 1 mission

I play offical ps4 they are bugged right now did a success hack but still got shocked and tame bar reset to 0( it was at 80%) so either wait for bug to get fixed or prepare for a long tame

Not all the stryder got the same abilities, take look the stryder stuff before start to taming.

Unlike popular belief, the level does not affect harvesting. If you just want this on a small or pve server, go for a low level if you want it just for harvesting. It’ll save you a lot of deaths.

They get you good resources like wood stone Iron

Requires mutagens in last hotbar slot.

Keep in mind they count as 20 tames towards your dino count. 5 of these equals 100 tames.

Wait till the supply drops colors are orange, this means that the space biome has mutagel nodes on the asteroids. Alternatively if you can’t seem to get it from space, there is an area in Rockwell’s garden that will give you Mutagen, which you can craft back into mutagel in a chem bench. Mutagel is pretty easy to come by once you get the right biome, just make sure you do all the missions you can. I recommend doing the races as they don’t require preparation for like the combat/ arena ones. Hope this helps.

Use it for element runs on gen1 and make sure u have a friend with a giga and the strider linked to a element shard dedicated box

The strider does not seem to harvest anything on the eldritch isle area on the crystal isles map. So…if you’re taming it for the shards stick to Genesis 2

Absolutely love this thang! Transmitter, check. Tek sleeping pod, check.(Saddlebags) Reduces weight of EVERYTHING in it inventory, check. HEAL LOW HEALTH SWEET w/VEGGIE CAKES, check. Keep batteries on it early, helps with the charge regen til you level that up a bit. (Harvester attatch)Don't really like wood unless you have the dedi storage linked. Bring a shadowmane on follow to THE TUMBLER (space), Follow distance should be high so its not constantly up your butt and you are free to harvest EV-RY-THANG!

If you want a quick trip to rage city try taming this thing. If you or the stryder takes 1 damage the entire taming progress is reset to zero and if you leave more than 50 feet the stryder can be tamed by anyone. It also has a tendency to do retarded loops, preventing hack. Watch out for pegos as one hit from them or a compy and say goodbye to tame bonus and entire progress. Good luck.

So I found that with the tek suit you start with you can fly above it and drop onto the stryder this make taming one much easier because it can walk away from you

These’s things hurt not physically but my 4 brain cells didn’t see mr scary wyvern dude aka void worm while out getting the drug sounding taming thing with I didn’t even end up getting this took part in genesis 2 btw
