Excellent for farming barries on genesis map, parasaurs are a bit harder to find especially considering exploring the bog wthout friends or dinos is dangerous.

My gf and I have our own unofficial and are Duo running Lost Island PVE. We decided due to being so early game and the amount of carnivores being so high and resources being so low that a stego may be the way to go for a decently "tamed" encounter as for KOing and we brought roughly 50Tranq arrows and xbow each. We found a beauty of a level 130 and while we may have tamed her, we walked out with 1 broken crossbow, and about 20 arrows total.

Make a taming pen, aggro and run in, this will save you so much time and frustration if using Slingshot/Tranq Arrows. In the future we will build one for larger/beefier tames for sure. Bring minimum 75 tranq arrows for anything above level 100, if you don't use a pen keep at least 1 Stego length between you and your target tame and always for the head. When it runs, make sure to keep some distance so it doesn't loop around and begin smacking/man-handling you. Good luck, have fun and stay alive! UP SO ALL CAN SEE.

Tldr: Beware of high torpor. Bring extra ammo/supplies for knocking out/taming/surviving. Preferably build a medium sized ramp taming pen 3-high crows nest, 2 high walls and doorway for you to escape out of stone or better.

Tip

Find a tall stone of cliff. That way it can’t hit you.

Then after you tranq it let it starve, I also used bio toxin.

And then give it rockarrot.

Probably the best early game berry gatherer not because of how much it yields per plant, but because it’s attack covers a larger area. This means you can gather multiple plants at once instead of one at a time. If you are in an area with lots of bushes clumped together, you can gather berries faster than other early game dinos.

You can not get picked off these while the sharpened plates are active (the first ones) but you can be netted so before you soak online you can net your own stego then cut it to make it invincible to nets for the next minute

Yeah there torpor drain is not low trust me

When I was a total noob, I went into a dungeon for the first time. Went down a hallway. ‘Threat incoming’ it said. Suddenly three neon rainbow stegos spawned. It killed me in one hit.

It has 3 modes. Heavy, good for fighting multiple enemies

Sharp, which is good in pvp

And hardened, which makes you take half damage

The new TLC update made these guys OP! Now they harvest tons of thatch, wood, and berries with their new plate forms! These guys are like tanks now! I tamed a lv 411 today, and it literally shreds though other dinos! By far I would tame a stego instead of a bronto, or a trike!

If you're not going to trap it, be prepared for a game of cat and mouse. Also make sure there is plenty of farming around. Snails move faster than a stego tames... =_=

One of the best tanks in the entire game, I used Tek stegosaurus to beat every boss on the game, excluding the desert Titan and Moeder.

Use some tranq arrows or darts then just move back slowly, when it gets close just un equip and run far then shoot repeat until knocked out, they are also passive so if you think about getting one grind some narco berries for arrows (that’s also pretty easy)they eat berries to.

Scarier as a nugget but a nugget you can kill by diping it in ketchup and biting its head of

Get on top of a tall rock and shoot it with a bow/gun. They can’t get you up there.

Amazing soakers, you can run up to turret towers with a rocket launcher and shoot them off the back of these.

Stegosaurs are amazing creatures. you should tame them get a lot of arrows and get on top of a high rock and shoot at it don’t kill though

These guys are heavenly defenders I was with him and two dilos he was only level 27 and killed a spino also while riding surviver does not take any damage because of the spikes I give these guys a 10,out of 10 they are also good harvesters for thatch

Stego is a great way to get narcoberrys for tranq arrows or narcotics. It’s a great tame for beginners to help get an easy food source. :)
