More Stegosaurus Utility Tips
With the new TLC the stego can easily become a must-tame early game dino for many players. It has 3 stances when ridden you can change between pressing C (crouch):
Heavy plate, boosting thatch gather rates and applying a heavy slow on hit targets.
Sharp plate, boosting berry gathering and attacks penetrate armour (useful for PvP).
Hardened plate, boosting wood gather and halves damage taken.
For combat, heavy plate is great for effectively rooting enemy and wild dinos in place, whilst hardened plate is to tank everything that comes at you. Sharpened plate shines together with allies that can slow and/or tank whilst you focus on dealing good dmg.
The alternate attack of the stego can impale creatures up to the size of roughly a parasaur, dealing damage based on attack damage. In order to do so the target must have a certain amount of health left, which is highlighted with the crosshair turning red when looking at the target (unsure how it is shown without crosshairs).
If your raiding someone and they have turrets you can use this guy to drain the turrets. Hit the arrow pointing to the sky if this helped
The stego is relly easy to tame just gotta avoid the tail I found mine stuck so it was easy but I suggest using tranq arrows to tame and some mejoberrys itโs relly useful for harvesting from plants I got like 500 of each type of plant from whacking plants with its tail. Thatโs all I got for the Steg hope itโs useful for yโall!
Probably the best early game berry gatherer not because of how much it yields per plant, but because itโs attack covers a larger area. This means you can gather multiple plants at once instead of one at a time. If you are in an area with lots of bushes clumped together, you can gather berries faster than other early game dinos.
Single player uses:
1. Gatherer: Stegosaurus is among the best wood and thatch gatherers, and is also a good berry gatherer.
2. Early game power dino: Stegos are slower than a sloth on melatonin, but they are tanky for their size.
3. Redwood mount: You can't get dismounted while riding it, need I say more?
Lol to whoever struggling to switch stances on mobile, you can't.On mobile the stego is still the old stego
I have a stegosaurus called Strega and sheโs a GOD, can kill five giant beavers in a few swings, has very high health, doses decent damage, and helped me and my only tribe mate, my dad to tame our first giant beaver.
Great dino to collect a crap ton of berries, especially narcos for narcotics
If you are a low-mid level and you are having trouble with a swamp zone, this dino is a MUST HAVE. Its easy to tame, his saddle is one of cheapest of the game and the kaprosuchus cant take you out of him. If you use his hardened plates, he recieves all damage halved. This f1cker is extremely useful.
Most underrated Dino, need wood use a stego, need thatch use a stego, need berries use a stego. Need a tank with added bonus of no rider damageโฆuse a stego.
