This dino op as a early game dino. Good kb, can juggle Trexes. Just make sure it doesn't go underwater if there are jellyfish nearby, and don't go near deepwater. It will die to a random eel spawning and giving everyone brain concuction. Good even for Basil hunting for ez oil, good against Manta. Just to make sure, make sure you harvest Megaladon with a pickaxe though, you will not get Prime fish meat if you harvest with Spino

If you’re like me, and you have five of these wayyy before level 71, buy the tannery(on mobile… it’s what I play, so I don’t know if it’s the same way for other versions), which costs forty ancient amber. The journeyman spino saddle is 600 cures, and you usually start out with five hundred cures. You can get two hundred more cures for twenty ancient amber. If you’re not wanting to buy the amber, get an icthy and get all the underwater drops you can, as you get a good amount of ancient amber roughly every other drop. I’m riding my spino, and it’s my favorite dinosaur so far. I’m glad I figured this out, because I did not want to wait.

Thing about Spino, insane damage, mediocre health, quadripedal and bipedal form, water buff, destroyer of rivers. Great for underwater exploration, and good knock back.

Rex, rawr, outstanding health, great damage, meat gatherer, tek saddle, destroyer of land, and kind of bad stamina.

With more agility, speed, damage and DPS, the spino can easily take a wild Rex.

Seriously even with the bite attack it doesn't even let the jellyfishes to come close enough. Another funny thing is that even my 300% melee spino can do almost the same thing

These things, just like the Giga they take fall damage easily and it REALLY hurts.

Yall, I just learned that Spinos are immune to Cnidarias shocks. They don't get stunned, they still fight. But the effects are, they are slower until Cnidarias shocks wear off. It just happened to Rexy, my OP Spino. A Cnidaria schocked her, but she didn't get stunned. She was just really slow on land when she finished all Cnidarias off.

I was really suprised, because most of my tames were stunned when Cnidarias shock them, unlike Rexy, who withstood the shock, and fought back. This is one of the spino's abilities. -TinaZ

Lmao I love how people tear each other's eyes debating whether a Rex or a giga should be breed for mutations, while this guy is slept on. If a rex, giga and spino are same level, spino will beat them in dps and the massive knock back and attack speed render everything but sauropods and flyers unable to approach, it beats them in speed stamina and oxygen 53 times a day, their only advantage is the hp but that is undermined by the spinos op attacks. Beats both in everything but hp, yet is so ignored...

I’m in aberration and I tamed one I run through rivers constantly attacking Triolibites I got like 2000 chitin it’s so good

2 modes, 4 legged or travel mode (less damage but run faster) and 2 legged or battle mode (more damage [2x dps?] but move slower), sadly, they usually attack with the 4 legged mode when they fight without a player controlling them.

The reason rexes have a tek saddle is that rexes are famous. Same with megalodons and all the other things that have tek saddles. But really, let's be honest, almost nobody has tek saddles. You have to complete a hard dungeon to get a blueprint, or pay big bucks! At least those are the two ways i know of. Im on mobile btw. Really, argy's and spino's should get tek saddles, (you can find more info on argy tek saddle idea in argy, somebody left a tip about it, it has lots of likes so it's at the top too.) Because they're REALLY useful tames to have, in my opinion. I actully on two of each. Im going to put this tip in argy, spino and rex, so you will see it there. Please ^ if you want argy's and spino's to get tek saddles!

I dont know why people say they are useless because they are stronger than rexes and i used them to defeat megaphitecus and it was EASY. Before using spinos i used rexes against megaphitecus and i lost so.

People in the Rex category have been dissing my spinos. They always bring up “look at the stats bruh” or “Rex better in all stats” but spinos are superior because,

1. Hydration buff. They get a better radius, boosted movement, attack speed, and health regeneration when they step in water. Rexes just make you poop. How useful.

2. DPS. On four legs, yes spinos are worse than rexes, but on two legs the tables turn. They use their front legs to deal massive damage WAY faster than a rex ever could.

3. Water mobility. Spinos can swim rexes just sorta, um, float. Piranhas will destroy rexes. Spinos can out swim AND kill them and many more fully aquatic creatures.

4. Utility. Spinos out speed rexes on land and in water so they fit hunting better than rexes. And because of their high DPS and knock back, their also fit reaper taming. Don’t like that lvl 10 reaper queen? Simple, knock it into the element water. Rexes couldn’t do this because they lack a aberrant variation so radiation damage (Mushroom stew isn’t really cons

Even when they have oxygen, they are good when swimming through deep sea, my spino can destroy mosas, and even tusoteuthis without trouble. I rather use my “Lake” Spino than my forgotten water mounts actually, but if you’re going to take your Spino to the sea, be careful with jellyfish

These guys are beasts! I have 3 high-level Spinos and each one of them can wreck every sh*t on their path. I also bring one of 'em whenever I'm taming something for my protection, and one of 'em even terrorized the Carno Island XD

On mobile it sucks for prime fish meat, it gathers prime meat much more well. Get prime meat with this, not fish meat

Spinosaurus is not only my favorite animal in real life but it is my favorite creature in Ark. I think Scorched Earth is the worst map because it’s the only map without these. In Aberration they spawn in every region except the surface.
