While lacking Raw Power, Spino is much faster than Rex. Perfect for land scouting or escort, also theyre not as dumb as Rex when set to follow. Very strong underwater.

Here is the truth about the Spino no one is talking about for some reason. First, the bad: It is VERY slow on land. Don’t bother wasting points on movement. It will never have as much health as a Rex. While it is amphibious, it must come up for air occasionally. Keep an eye on his oxygen marker.

The good: It only has one speed while swimming.., FAST. Don’t bother double clicking to swim faster. He always sprints in water. His oxygen lasts an eternity underwater. Increase points into his oxygen an you will make his already impressive swimming speed even faster and allow him to stay underwater for days. His stamina drain is very slow. His bite is VERY fast, makes for some high DPS. They can swim BACKWARDS, which makes underwater fights SO much easier.

Bottom line, don’t try to make it a land fighter, that role is well taken by the Rex. I put points into melee, oxygen and Health and make it an underwater absolute beast.

To be honest I think that it would be worse but not too bad if they lived in pairs because they like to spawn by rivers next to cliffs that you can kill\tranq them from.

Spinos are the best non fantasy Dino by far, use them to your advantage in beach and river combat because of the very op water buff and stand mode combo

Take this guy into the ocean and kill sharks and manta, you’ll get so much fish meat it’s much better than killing coels and salmon

Whice attacks gather prime fish more efficiently. The mouth attack or the hand one?

On mobile u can crush/charge mid to small sized creatures but not a carbonemis... By simply sprinting into them and it does tonnes of dmg even more dmg than a slap

Spino are a very deadly mount which they can switch between to mode: traveling mode(speed ++, attack speed - -)

And combat mode(attack speed ++,speed- -) and if they got hydration buff(active when you ride your spino and touch water) they will move even faster, attack much stronger but without hydration buff, they will move slower and deal less damage

Taming is difficult without a mount due to their speed when fleeing

I once tried to test my spino(lv 300+) and my rex(lv 400+) to see how much damage they deal, te result is

My spino deal 400+ damage per attack with hydration buff to non amored creature

My rex deal 700+ damage per attack to non amored creature

Because spino when in combat mode, it will attack twice as quick as rexes which made it better than rexes(ONLY WHEN HYDRATION BUFF IS ON)

Did you know gigas will become neutral towards your spino

Can be used as a midgame tame for Aberration that will get you through most of the game. Has both a bipedal and quadrupedal stance. Bipedal increases damage, allows you to attack while running, but, is slower. Quadrupedal allows your to sprint faster and, harvest more meat. Once touching water, the Spino gets a "Hydrated" buff that increases movement speed, stamina, and, buffs damage. This thing can tank damage and dish it out and is easy to tame, provided you have the speed.

Though this isn’t much of a utility thing but it got a new picture I’m just saying.

They are basically just a cross with a Rex and a raptor cause it fast like a raptor and powerful like Rex

This is more a question, what behaviour settings are good for keeping a Spino close to base?

Just know that spinos, fish, pats as, and Barry’s share a spawn entity so kill fish pads as and Barry’s to hunt down spinos

My Spino has impacted me. Its great for hunting. I can kill therizinos now. Its fast in the water, and kills many megapirahnas. best mount ever!!!!
