While it doesn't have the raw stopping power of the giga or the health and stamina of a rex, the spino has been my preferred mount mainy due to how fast it can move, especially with the hydration buff and it's potential for being a cheap alternative for killing alphas if you don't have a high lvl rex or giga. I have killed Alpha Rexes with a Spino on numerous occasions.

Better than the rex for combat. Look up Cantex Spino vs Rex on YT. It’s also faster and has better stamina. All in all just freaking awesome.

They are my preferred dinosaur for going through the swamps. Nothing much aggros on them, and they can easily take out anything.

You can still ride a Spino if you don't have a saddle yet by hopping on their tail and walking to where you want to stay. It's similar to the Sarco's "living raft" ability. Just whistle to where you want your Spino to run or swim, and they will carry you. How do I get onto their back, you ask? I make sure the front paws are higher than the rear paws so I can jump onto their spiky tail. Position yourself right, and set them to Aggressive, and you can watch one of nature's ultimate predators hunt everything around it.

I killed a meg with my hydrated spino and got 100+ fish meat and gave most of it to my bary and otter

Tbh, these guys are waaay better than some stinky old Rex. They have different attacks like the four feet they can bite and on two they can swipe/slash targets.

A spino is like arks ATV. It can swim fast, run fast, and now has a water boost and can do more damage on 2 legs.

sem ideias, a melhor criatura do ark, alem disso essa criatura e mais forte que um rex. Porem, o espino e dificil de domar, pois ele corre muito na agua as vezes e morre no caminho. Essa criatura tem varias utilidades, ele tem e rapido pra caramba, tem boost na agua apelao, ataque especializado como a mordida pega carne e as garras pega couro. Muito bom pra limpar area e se pegar um espino lvl 500 no minimo da mata giga. So o lvl 100 mata alfa rex se upar vida. Ele pode virar e estacionar facil de manobrar, versatil em tudo. Defeitos: pouca vida, stamina ruin. So isso, recomedo domar!

They’re great at swimming and collecting prime meat from pacers those tall deer things big I get like 30 every time

Spinos are really good tames to have as they are fast on all fours but when on there rear legs they are a deadly Dino they are my second favourite Dino (My favourite is the argentavis). So if you are at the level where you have tranq darts and a long-neck you can tame one

This and the Rex should have a platform saddle, they’re big enough for it and it would be nice being able to make storage on their backs with box’s or make a base on their backs, or turrets to make it deal more damage while fighting hostile Dino’s

Spino’s are way better then Rex’s wether it’s damage or just mechanics, spino’s have 2 standing positions which change its stats, so that means it’s good for if you wanna fight or run, mostly you’d fight tho unless there’s a giga, and since it gets a buff if you go into the water for a second and the buff is awsome, and enhances the stats greatly

Ok so I had to do this cause everybody was so yea. Dudes and dudettes tame spinos if u wanna take down bosses. Really tho.they are mobile ,fast, and strongger than rexkes.How u might ask. I tried fighting a megapithecus with 10 rexes. It took 12 mins.i tried spinos it took 9 mins.So yea they are very strong and I say VERRY STRONG.Once in ark mobile I had an acsendant spino full levled it had 45,000,000 health ,dealt 800k damage and one shot a titan.Btw this is not a lie. I literally did that.I had lucky patcher hacks.😄😄

Spinos are very very good for land travel, considering many dinos are neutral towards you while mounted, and it can move very quickly. Compared to a rex, the spino is unmatched as a travel mount.

I saw a spino fighting Seven megalodons and then I saw the spino and the megs were gone. Soooo

In my opinion, the spino is one of the best land mounts in the game. They have a high DPS and more stamina than a Rex. They can run and swim very quickly if you upgrade their movement speed. If you have a high level spino, you can easily kill alphas (might want to be careful with alpha rexs though.) They're good for meat runs because a high level spino can slaugher almost anything.

Idk if its here I didnt check but The spino is good for broodmother because when it is in the little water pools at the arena it will get a more damage and speed
