For taming, since they run away super fast, a good trap is a 3x4 stone foundation with door frames that are 3 high (they can walk over 2 tall) with a ramp leading up. U might need some extra supper pillars for the ramp at the bottom depending on the land u use tho. Make sure its semi close to the water or the spino will lose interest. Then u can just lure it in, its pretty wide so it should he easy, then u basically just shoot it until its down. Ez tame. Dont forget to brung narcotics tho.

So.. i found one of these near me after i spawned in, Thankfully i didn't agro it But after a while i started thinking it will be a future threat, I wanna tame it but er.. im only lv.10 so not much can be done, I have 10 dodos they all have 40+ health some of them have 50-60 health And 5-6 Dilo's All 150+ Hp, 2 otters, And a Lystro, i'm planning on killing it but i once saw it kill a bronto which Has Like 2000+ health even if its low level.

Since latest update spinos will die before being knocked out using crossbows. REALLY wanted one but now seem impossible to tame

Find a spino ( they spawn in redwood water and other water place)

Find a great spot ( but carefull they strong fast and can climb big roack) like in the rock

Start ataking him with tranq arow ( you can wait until spino hunt so you can atack him savely

Wait until he unsonsious and give him raw fish meat

Or argen kibble

These barest are very strong and stronger then a Rex but taming is easier than Rex but use a crossbow is a good way to knock it out and I tamed one by making it attack a turtle and running on paurasour

Get on a hill or find a deep river and shoot them from down there and make sure they cant reach you both underwater and on hill

Tips on taking a spino! (Easy-ISH :'D)

1 come with 100-200 tranq arrows,crossbow or bow and arrow,useing a how and arrow,bring at least 5-10,do to a spinosaurus excellent speed,it is hard to aim,and is smart,I used crossbow

2 Find,and lure the spino u like to a cliff or ,but remember,be close to the river.The spino goes to different prey if you get to far,the farther from the river it is,the more passive(I guess)

3 Shoot the traqs in head,heart,or body,until it runs away,but be prepared,do to its fast speed and sharp turns,you NEED a fast creature

4 Once knocked out,feed raw meat,fish or prime,if you have no prime and are near water,get fish,it likes fish more then raw meat,if not,just hunt a dinosaur on land,but be prepared,the torpor will drop fast

Enjoy the Spino,I tamed a spino with light blue,dark blue,and sea blue,plus a splotch of baby blue

Here is tip for taming a spino! First grab a raft and get 5 stone pillars and 5 ladders. place the 5 pillars on the raft upward and then place the ladders on the pillar so you can get up. step 2 find spino/spinos and knock it out! (Make sure to bring at min 50 narotic ) and this has more then 1 use. I will do rexy

I have seen it 2 times.The first time it broke my house second time I saw it a velociraptor killed mi.

If you get a blueprint for his saddle or the saddle I recommend you to tame it it does tons of damage hp and stamina and he also has a water bonus which gives him more damage don’t use a trap just shoot tranq arrows and run and use a 10x smoothing balm and it will be domesticated in some minutes

1-frick ton of tranq arrows

2-crossbow

3-100 pounds of raw meat

4-an argue(preferably one named coco cuz that’s what I named mine and it seemed to help)

5-more determination and patience than the pope

6-a tall cliff

I love knocking these guys out it's so fun u do need to get some dino gates to do it the fun way though and a crossbow plus so tranq arrows this was the first dino I ever tamed

A tip with taming a spinal trap it and a big box then just shoot it a easy peasy way and make sure you have crap ton of prime meat cuz it will go bad very fast and Clapton biotoxic please and thank you read my tip

Please please please just use a trap! These things are surprisingly fast, have high torpor drain, and aggro on everything under the sun! Once they start running, you'll probably never find them again, especially if they run into a thick forest. The trap makes things so much simpler.

She climbs over foundation traps on ark mobile, learned the hard way. Use stone gateways and bear traps. Tamed a level 240 this way

Honestly best tame in my opinion. It is fast on land and water and has bipedal and quadropedal modes. It is stronger than a rex. Tame over rex.
