Bring as many narcs as possible I tamed a level 3 and needed 100 narcs

Compared to taming a rex, this thing is actually harder to tame unless this thing spawns in the middle of two cliffs so it’ll have nowhere to run. I once tamed a rex with only a bow and a few tranq arrows on easy mode, obviously, but I can actually kill rexes up to lvl 100+ when on lvl 30+ yourself, on mobile that is. This thing runs when it has high torpor or near death, and it runs FAST. So unless you’re a WWII veteran sniper and can track this bad boy’s movement up to an island away, you’d have to lure it in the middle of two cliffs. Griffins are also good to help you tame this guy, but they’re a pain in the arse to tame on mobile... Use bio toxin to keep down, or a ton of narcoberries. Best method is starve taming. Clear out the area of every single aggressive thing though, and remember this guy has an oxygen stat, so it’ll drown if you knock it out in waters deep enough to make it swim (shallow waters where it can stand doesn’t make it drown, same thing goes for everything that you have to tame thru knock out method). Use ascendant bows or ascendant crossbows to knock out, or a tranq dart which is more efficient. Bring 10x more the amount of narcotics, if that’s what you use, better use bio toxin to keep this down. Around two or three stacks of bio toxin should be enough for levels 100+ of a spino.

Spinos are pretty easy to tame. First get a moschops and set it on wander for Narco berries, then get at least 60 narcotics for a level one spino ( always have extra narcotics), make a crossbow, have at least 20 tranq arrows, find a good cliff, shoot the spino till it falls over, if it runs away from the cliff keep an eye on it but don’t run after it one time I ran after it and it turned around and killed me. (ARK MOBILE) Tamed a level 300 in redwoods without any narcotics just 4 argy kibbles and a 10× balm.

Knocking out a Spino is pretty easy if you have a good crossbow, tranq arrows and a damage sponge tame. My taming does not involve traps, and as such I recommend a Sarco or a Baryonyx.

Alternative: A T. Rex will almost always be targeted by a Spino, so put the Rex on Passive and pump the Spino full of tranquilizers as it takes one for the team.

If you can help it, knock out the Spino on the riverbank next to Sabertooth Salmon. Use your best sickle to get Prime Fish Meat from them, or if you don't have that pray to R-N-you-know-who for some while you use your metal pick.

I always search for Spinos in the southern portion of the map, in the range of 60-75 latitude and 40-70 longitude. The eastern portion of that area is what I call "Spino Valley." I get very lucky witb Spinos there, and there are plenty of spots where fleeing Spinos get stuck. I hope all of this info helps you find my favorite dinosaur!

It cant deal damage to stone structures so make a trap with 4 big stone portals and a big bear trap

I just agroed the spino then put up a Dino gate as it got close and it works well because it tries to get you but can’t. Then when it starts torpor running you can just chase it. ☝️Up if helpful.

Takes a 2x2x3 cage with a ramp. Don’t make two or less walls high - it will climb out. Better kite it on a flier or have decent hp and armor - it will catch up and hit you due to hydration buff. Remember to bring narcotics - unlike rex, spino doesn’t stay down for a very long time.

I've tamed many spinos all from the same trap, 4 stone dino gates and one large bear trap. Place three down so you can make a rectanlge out of the four, then put the large bear trap down inside of them. Shoot the spino, and run through the trap. Go to the other side and place the dino gate to finish the rectangle. Now you just need lots of narcotic arrows and lots of narcotics( boi toxin works best). I tamed 10 spinos on mobile with this method, one being level 200. But the trap works great for other gaming devices to.

Was contemplating whether to attempt gaming one of these and finally went for it. My first carnivorous animal tame. Miraculously knocked it down and tamed it to completion. While leading it back, it got stuck in some unbreakable rocks. Had to build foundations and walls before finally getting it out after about 30 mins of trying. As soon as it was free it was swarmed by jellyfish and pirhanas and died. RIP

It is one of my mildly easiest all you need is a lot of narcotic and plenty of tranq arrows

They are not easy to tame if you see one I recommend running if you’re a low level

Im just taming my spino, nothing big. Then i see a sarco BLAST ONTO MY SCREEN. IM HAVING A LOT OF FUN. *dies*

70% more likely to find high level spinos in the volcanos ponds. 20% more likely to find a 150 spino the ponds. Basically.. hit the volcano for a decent spino.

I used 5 stone dino gates to trap them (they don't damage stone structures) I also managed to trap a 140 and 150 next to one another, so it definitely works.

The tamin effectiveness and the length you need to wait until it tames is no longer even remotely accurate. I was taking a lvl 140 last night, 2:54:00 until he is starved it says, so I wait the 3 hours and put in my mutton, it only takes it to 50% where it it supposed to be 100% and the taming effectiveness was significantly lower already than it should have been. Fact- Mutton Taming Time/Effectivness= Broken

A Spino loses torpor VERY quickly after being knocked out. Remember that torpor doesn't drop when it's rising after a narcotic is fed, so gradually feed it narcotics - dont spam 30 and then walk away. You'll go farther on less drugs.

To tame i suggest that you make a trap and us trank darts and make sure to keep checking on it

Just use 2 giant bear trap and place them in a line with a but distance, then use a crossbow with good amount of tranq arrows.. I used this method and tamed 4 of em
