Ok so what ur gonna need is 1. 200 Tranqs

2. 4 stone gates 3. And a pt I recommended you're lvl 40 so you atleast have a pteranodon

And two giant bear traps you can only make one but I make two for sure

Next make the gates in like a square oh only use 3 gates next you put the bear traps you lead it in its stuck so use the last gate for the way he/she got in

So she can't escape also there might be a baryonyx yeah so barys can be bola'd so no prob Now start tranqing the spino boom he's knocked out

Then I recommend biotoxin instead of narcotics get prime FISH meat while you're getting The biotoxin

And he/she's yours but when I said atleast lvl 40 you cry cuz you can't make saddle

Spinos Spawn Near Rivers, Lakes, etc. if you looking for taming tips: do not go close and suggest you shoot it with tranq/toxicant or darts from up high where it cannot reach you. I suggest prime meat or prime fish meat. But I tame mine with fish meat, bring a lot of narcotics!

I freaking love these things man they are Awesome and really easy to tame use a flyer or a fast land mount nock them out and get raw prime fish meat ready to go I’m breeding my happy hunting

So I’ve been trying to breed my two spinos for a while now but since they always walk away from each other’s when mating I need to build a pen but the thing is no matter how high I make the walls they always just walk out like my last try I made the pen 2 wooden walls and 2 railings high and it started well at first and they seemed to be struggling to get out but then the female somehow climbed out but the male was still in and stayed in for a good 5 minutes before getting out like how high can these things climb at this point I’m just frustrated à Rex can’t even walk over a single wall but they seemed to be struggling last time so I think one more railing high should do it but I wouldn’t be surprised if they just went “okay bye I’m leaving but I will be back soon” breeding spinos is no easy task I tamed the male complete on accident and getting the female after was already hard enough… and now I have to put up with the fact that my spinos keep leaving

I tamed a lvl 230 spino and the way I did it was I got it stuck between two rocks and a tree, I could just sit there and shoot it and it couldn’t touch me.

On single player, it will definitely be a bit harder since you won’t have other “meat bags” to sacrifice. The best way I find to knock this Dino out is if you don’t have the tranquilizer engram, you use your highest ranged weapon (most likely the ascendant bow you’ll get from the Hunt Dilophosaur pursuit) that uses tranq arrows. Practice shooting if you want, but the spino has a large hit box because the fan on its back also counts as a part of it. Check Dododex on the possible level of the Spino you want to tame. Sometimes, you may want extra ammo to knock it down guaranteed. Finally, knock it down and make sure you have anything to increase its torpor by a lot. It’s not as bad as the Therizino from experience, but its torpor drains quickly so be sure to check it constantly. If you want a safety net when engaging. Mount on a tanky mount and make sure you can still shoot. That MAY only harm the Dino, which benefits from the armor by the saddle, depending on size. Good luck with taming.

For anybody who want to tame a Spinosaurus without build a stone trap, here is a tip.

1. Ride a flyer (a any level of Tapejara with alot of health is highly recommended )

2. Find a Spinosaurus near the green obelisk

3. Aggro it and lure it to the green obelisk (watch your distance between you and the Spinosaurus. Don't be to close or to far)

4. Just go to the obelisk till the Spinosaurus fell to the cliff

5. Land your Tapejara to the cliff ( this is why you need Tapejara) and start shooting it with tranq dart till it unconscious

6. Spinosaurus will stuck to the cliff as it try to run away due to taking enough torpor damage so it won't escape and you won't have to waste your time chasing the run away spino and save your dart

7. Feed it with meat according to the dododex

P.S clean the obelisk from any threat that will make your taming process failed such as titanoboa, dilo, and raptor. I play on mobile if that's important

The trap I used for it was 3x3 stone foundation, then doorways all around the trap, two walls high. Then you place a ramp and lead it in, it worked perfectly for me.

Dododex say's 34 Mutton for a 145 Spino on 2x, on Aberration. But in reality its 42 tested it and it's about 8 Mutton more than it say's.

HOW TO TAME WITHOUT TRAPS

Material: Biotoxins (or narcotics), Tranqs, Prime fish meat, Rifle / Crossbow

1) Find the spinosaurus you want

2) Get it to an area with LOTS of wildlife. They are pretty tarded and get distracted easily. NOTE: they are VERY fast, so be quick

3) Harass it with tranqs (at least 20-30) until it’s out.

4) Shove prime fish meat down it’s throat and keep it down with narcs or biotoxins ( reccommend biotoxins )

5) Defend the spino. If on mobile, use soothing balm.

6) Profit

Taming a spino is surprisingly easy! In my world I am around level 55. I just tamed one of these beasts to have so protection from big creatures if needed because I want to adventure away from home farther. I found my spino in a river in south zone 2 or. All I did was have a bunch of tranq arrows (31) and I went up on a cliff and shot down at it. This worked pretty well just make sure the bottom of the cliff is land not water. Then you can tranq it out until unconscious. Then make sure to put raw fish meat in its inventory (raw meat goes three times slower). And after that it’s actually a pretty quick tame! I have a level 2 so it was easier to tranq out but I will level him up until I can get the saddle at level 71!

How to tame a Spino

1: Gather loads of meat and fish meat

2: If you’re trying to tame a low level spino, make at least 30 tranq arrows. If you’re taming a stronger one make at least 100 (just in case). You can use the cross bow. If you don’t have one you can make a few normal bows

3: Make loads of narcotic. At least 50. Also make bronto egg kibble

3: find the spino you want to tame

4: shoot it

5: put the narcotic and meat or kibble in its inventory and wait

You have a spino :D

Don't recommend doing the 10 pillar/ladder trick, the spino will likely just run away. Instead build a pen that is at least 3x3 stone with all windows and at LEAST 4 high, otherwise the spino will just walk right over them. Easy enough to tame in a 3x3x4 stone box, just don't stand too close cause the attacks will reach outside of the pen.

These things are not that hard to tame on mobile just make 8 stone door frames. Basically you need six but make 2 as extra, then with a pteranadon Or other FLYING MOUNT trap it make a rectangular box.

If you are going too tame a spono bring a lot of narcotics

Get stamina in deep water

These things are hard to tame,

I tamed one with a 15× multiplier.
