Best way to tame these, is to build a 3 x 3 stone platform, then put stone door frames 3-4 tall all around it. Then, build a ramp up one side and lure the spino into it. I prefer 4 tall walls, but 3 tall should work just fine.

Fastest way to tame it is step 1: tame a dire bear

Step 2: take ur dire bear to swamp cave on mobile

Finish swamp cave it’s the ez cave

Step 3: get the artifact go to the tribute therminal tribute it and hope for a soothing balm if h don’t get it don’t worry swamp cave is ez and the artifact Tesla an every second so try again and then ez put the soothing balm in Thera inv and use it then feed berries I got 2 soothing balm on three times if finishing the cave it’s sooo ez👍🏾

you will need: fish, crossbow, tranq arrows, tame helper, narcotics and a flyer. (you can use a gun and darts) if your looking to tame one of these go to the big green metal thing in the sky and there is a little gorge around the center. find a spino and lead it in (make sure it’s not to far away) and you can shoot it and once it goes down hop on ur pteranodon, quetzal etc and fly down give it some fish and tame helper and narcotics and depending on the lvl u will have it in 1-20 mins FUN FACT: the big green thing in the sky i was talking about if you have a dinos implant and enough amber (it will say how many in the bottom right of the text) and you go to the green, red, purple/bule thing (idk what they are called lol 😅) in the sky you can revive the dino (WARNING: idk wether it works on computer but i done it on my iphone with a horse and it worked!) hope u enjoyed! For trap you need only dino gate he cant go out from that and spino can easily jump from 3 hight wall use dino gate and for ramp use foundation for one side 4 wall hight required

In mobile RG kibble or prime fish meat recommended

Always fortify ur base when u see a spino around that area like me I'm fortifying it because the spino came from the back to the front al.ost near my base use spike walls and dino gates best and have a trike because spinos like to walk if u know that u really want to tame it or u hate them for killing everything if u do ur just like me😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😄😄😄😄😏😏😏😏😏😏😏

Tip when taming spino:KILL EVERYTHING NEAR THE RIVER EXCEPT THE SPINO cuz the Spino will kill anything that gets too close,it’s one of the creatures to prefer targeting wild creatures then tamed creatures meaning even a para can be an annoying nuisance and for god sake don’t let it target a massive herd of high level trikes or a theri (even low levels can be very annoying) I recommend a trap once u trap it just make sure no random dimorphodon comes along and call it’s friends once injured trust me I have experienced that before.

All you need to tame is four stone foundations eight stone doors and four wooden ramps this is by far the cheapest method.

Lay the foundations out in a square and put a stone door on each edge on the side facing towards desired spoon add the four wooden ramps making shore they go into the ground so they don’t get stuck then simply just shoot them take your flyer and fly over the trap high once in you can tranq him out and he won’t escape.

Spinos Spawn Near Rivers, Lakes, etc. if you looking for taming tips: do not go close and suggest you shoot it with tranq/toxicant or darts from up high where it cannot reach you. I suggest prime meat or prime fish meat. But I tame mine with fish meat, bring a lot of narcotics!

I freaking love these things man they are Awesome and really easy to tame use a flyer or a fast land mount nock them out and get raw prime fish meat ready to go I’m breeding my happy hunting

So I’ve been trying to breed my two spinos for a while now but since they always walk away from each other’s when mating I need to build a pen but the thing is no matter how high I make the walls they always just walk out like my last try I made the pen 2 wooden walls and 2 railings high and it started well at first and they seemed to be struggling to get out but then the female somehow climbed out but the male was still in and stayed in for a good 5 minutes before getting out like how high can these things climb at this point I’m just frustrated à Rex can’t even walk over a single wall but they seemed to be struggling last time so I think one more railing high should do it but I wouldn’t be surprised if they just went “okay bye I’m leaving but I will be back soon” breeding spinos is no easy task I tamed the male complete on accident and getting the female after was already hard enough… and now I have to put up with the fact that my spinos keep leaving

I tamed a lvl 230 spino and the way I did it was I got it stuck between two rocks and a tree, I could just sit there and shoot it and it couldn’t touch me.

On single player, it will definitely be a bit harder since you won’t have other “meat bags” to sacrifice. The best way I find to knock this Dino out is if you don’t have the tranquilizer engram, you use your highest ranged weapon (most likely the ascendant bow you’ll get from the Hunt Dilophosaur pursuit) that uses tranq arrows. Practice shooting if you want, but the spino has a large hit box because the fan on its back also counts as a part of it. Check Dododex on the possible level of the Spino you want to tame. Sometimes, you may want extra ammo to knock it down guaranteed. Finally, knock it down and make sure you have anything to increase its torpor by a lot. It’s not as bad as the Therizino from experience, but its torpor drains quickly so be sure to check it constantly. If you want a safety net when engaging. Mount on a tanky mount and make sure you can still shoot. That MAY only harm the Dino, which benefits from the armor by the saddle, depending on size. Good luck with taming.

For anybody who want to tame a Spinosaurus without build a stone trap, here is a tip.

1. Ride a flyer (a any level of Tapejara with alot of health is highly recommended )

2. Find a Spinosaurus near the green obelisk

3. Aggro it and lure it to the green obelisk (watch your distance between you and the Spinosaurus. Don't be to close or to far)

4. Just go to the obelisk till the Spinosaurus fell to the cliff

5. Land your Tapejara to the cliff ( this is why you need Tapejara) and start shooting it with tranq dart till it unconscious

6. Spinosaurus will stuck to the cliff as it try to run away due to taking enough torpor damage so it won't escape and you won't have to waste your time chasing the run away spino and save your dart

7. Feed it with meat according to the dododex

P.S clean the obelisk from any threat that will make your taming process failed such as titanoboa, dilo, and raptor. I play on mobile if that's important

The trap I used for it was 3x3 stone foundation, then doorways all around the trap, two walls high. Then you place a ramp and lead it in, it worked perfectly for me.

Dododex say's 34 Mutton for a 145 Spino on 2x, on Aberration. But in reality its 42 tested it and it's about 8 Mutton more than it say's.

Get stamina in deep water

Spino’s are OP but if you choose to tame one using a trap make sure they can’t run over it because the you have to re lure it in to the trap
