Stories Tips

What are some stories about the spinosaurus? Memorable spinosaurus stories, wild encounters, and fan fiction.
So here’s a stupid tale. I found a max level spino. I tranqed it and gave it some prime fish and when it was on 97% taming, some stupid Bary started attacking me. It lowered the taming effectiveness to 9 percent and right at that moment, the spino got tamed.
A 150 with a extra 8 levels. Thanks a lot stupid baryonyx.
Well heres a story..
I was just minding my buisness trying to travel to the edge of the world on my raft.. thats when i saw a small red fin pop out of the water. Being a noob i shot it with an arrow and found out it was not defenceless! I nearlly fell off my bed when i saw the whole fin come up haha. I turned my raft around and got to land as soon as possible so happy to be out of the water! Until i see the bloody fcker had legs... so i died and sought revenge until one day i finally tamed him,(spike lvl.220) my most loyal frenemy . Honestly if you can get a high level spino these guys are so powerful!
P.S. Beware of the damn jellyfish though
The Extinction
Chapter Two
-Bee-
(15 years later)
I wake up to the sound of a smashing building outside of my apartment.
Now, mind you, a lot of creatures have the ability to do this. But one, these buildings are completely smash-proof (trust me) and two, all creatures heavier than one ton by law are kept in cages, cryopods or on dino leashes unless being ridden. And the city of Sanctuary is VERY good at enforcing laws(again, trust me).
I groaned, not wanting to wake up. But I knew I had to work, and also, I did not want to be crushed under thousands of pounds of metal and tek. I climb out of my tek sleeping pod and walk over to the window, rubbing my eyes. The office building downtown was being demolished. You'd think they'd notify nearby people about CONTROLLED DESTRUCTIONS of LARGE AND HEAVY AND DANGEROUS FALLING BUILDINGS outside.
Lately they've been replacing tek buildings with this new glowy purple stuff. I don't like it.
I yawn angrily and wash up. I get dressed in my work uniform and snap on my cryopod belt, latching on my tames. I keep on marked "C" in my hand.
I look at the time. 6:42. I have to be at work by 7. I walk through my tek door onto the landing platform and toss my cryopod carelessly.
A male zombie fire wyvern appeared. He had a light azure body and an even lighter azure underbelly. His wings and finned spines were midnight blue and his long, windy tail was finned at the edges. Sparks shot from his nostrils.
Why sparks, you may ask? Well, my boy here Cyclone used to be a lightning wyvern, back when we lived on Scorched Earth. But alas, he died, and I trapped his essence. I went to the seasonal wyvern resurrection shop, but the only type of wyvern body they had was fire. So now I have a blue lightning-breathing zombie fire wyvern. A mouthful, I know.
I climbed up his wing and threw my legs around his shoulders. Cyclone understood, we've been doing this routine at the same time for years. He spread his wings and flew into the crowded traffic above. We flew north and landed outside of a building labeled "The Smoothie Place".
What, did you think I worked in some epic dino training facility? This is 2307, not the 2280's. Nothing is fun or nice since government has taken over. We just need something to end this misery. But for now, it's fine, as long as I had Cyclone with me.
I put Cyclone back in his cryopod and checked in.
"Good luck in there," my good friend Wilias mumbled to me, stumbling out of the store. He looked exhausted. I felt bad for him, but mostly wondered if I would be like that by the time my shift is over.
I looked at the large mirrors lining the walls, seeing myself in my reflection. I saw a 24-year-old woman, who looked ragged as always. My tan, dirty skin wrapped around my bones. I was very skinny, like my body couldn't produce enough muscle. About 7 foot 2 inches tall, I guessed. I never really checked, I mean, why bother? My hair was blond, going down to just below my shoulders. It was straight, always looking like it was dripping wet. I had a slight unibrow.
I walked over to the manager. "What station am I working today?" I questioned, since they didn't really have a schedule for that. Also, I was proud of the fact that I could work all stations.
"Fly-through." She responded, distracted.
"Aight.. any new, well, news?" I asked.
"New person named Belladonna. Has a mutated spinosaurus," she added, "now go to your station or you won't have one."
I didn't say anything to that, although I wanted to kick her. I went over to the window where people could order from their tames and put on the mic.
Hours later, at 14:00, I finally got out of work. I got Cyclone out and mounted him.
"How would you like to go to the Capital?" I asked him after I changed, knowing full well he wouldn't know what I was saying, although he still looked enthusiastic. We flew up to the top of the Capital building, which was basically an aerial park. Cyclone landed gracefully at the edge of the park. I dismounted him, my shoes sinking into the moist dirt. I walked up to the fence-line and gazed at the city. We were currently on the tallest building.
The domes ahead looked beautiful. I envied anyone who could go out of the city boundaries. I always had a dream of being an explorer, ever since I was a kid. I always wanted to see wild tames and roll in the snow of the Arctic Dome or walk in the sand of the Desert dome, or splash in the rivers of the Forest Crater. But no; us humans have destroyed all wildlife. We have tamed and taken over the earth. Soon nature's going to take its revenge.
I felt an overwhelming sense of foreboding as I viewed the city. It wouldn't be a Sanctuary for much longer.
Damn this thing. I had just finished everything, my small hut which me and my raptor, trike, parasaur, pteradon, moschops, and iguanodon. I had seen this thing on the edge of a very steep cliff, so I thought to go tame this thing. I brought a few tranq arrows and narcotics about 200 (mind you I was only level 25 at the time) and started to shoot it, it was all going well when a stupidass dodo came near it. The spino immediately went to attack it and then saw all of my dinos that were right near it. I could do nothing but watch as my poor Dinos and my cozy little hut got destroyed. I don’t know if I should keep playing or not. Support if I should keep playing please. And F in the chat for my cozy hut and dinos😭😭🥺☹️
There was this level 20 spino creeping around my base so I went in with my crossbow to kill it and stop it from attacking my base I thought I was using stone arrows but turns out I was using tranq arrows and it got knocked out so I gave it a soothing balm to tame it faster and I only needed 3 fish meat with the soothing balm so it was a pretty easy tame. I decided to name him spiney boi. I heard of this place called herbivore island but never knew what it was and if it was dangerous or not so after making some research I found out where it is and decided to bring spiney boi with me. When we arrived we were immediately greeted by a titanosaur. I looked around to see what this place was and it was just a bunch of passive herbivores everywhere. This place was really fun. At the end I ended up taming my first anky. I wanted to tame a stego too but I didn’t have enough tranq arrows. I will probably come back someday with more arrows to tame a stego, but the island is so far from my base that i cannot go there really often. This trip was a pretty good break from all the agressive dinos and I had a really great time with my spino. I would really recommend checking out this island if you have the chance (it’s the small island all the way on the bottom right of the map)
One day I decided I wanted to tame one. so I’ve ventured out until I surprisingly finally found one. it was a good start. I shot my rifle at him. (This will come in handy) and ran up some rocks. but for some reason, he didn’t chase me. I saw him in the mince of attacking something else, and I was shooting tranq arrows at it sadly, what he was attacking, died quite early so he ran back into the water, making me kind of confused. I didn’t want to waste my tranq arrows, so I shot it a little bit more times with my rifle. soon it ran when I shot one more tranq arrow. but he may have went a little bit too far. So I shot one more shot with my rifle…. and disappointment came to me…. he died….. rip for spino….
My name is mosasaurgaming968 i have a spino on a pve server in ark mobile, and the server name is friendly dino island, i have two Spinos in there I always using them as traveling, it was male and female. I breed them together and hatch the egg,
I always trust to the admin named lightraptor.
Then I gived away my female spinlo to him.
And i have many tames. One day i was supposed to tame quetz with my argy and i was offline i log back again. The other admin kills them all, and tribemate bullrider trade them for no reason.

Look at your tames torpor when taming
I was taming a spinosaurus, a sarco and a carbonymes (sorry for spelling) and I was flexing all of my dinosaurs at back while making a place for the ones taming. This guy woke up killed my sarco, and I’m new to the game so I went to go check what happened, the carbonymes was still taming but the Spino was up killing my sarco so i tried to stop it, I didn’t so I ran and it turns out that a parasaur is slower
than me so it killed my tek parasaur but then after all of that it died to one of my spike walls and I have no idea where any of my stuff is now
👆
💀💀💀
3 Spinos spanwed in the same region.
I had enough torpor arrows(59 or so) so I managed to knock out 2. I killed one and took the prime meat to tame the 2nd one. But the 3rd one attacked my raft/boat and I died. Never mess with multiple Spinos unless you're prepared very prepared. They swim and run fast, get a bunch of torpor and have good armour. I recommend setting a trap to make sure they don't get you.✌️
The Arks: Over Heaven (by Ben)
Chapter 81: The Airport
And so it was on. The race to reach the Capital to free their families from the ARKs had begun, and with the United Intelligence Agency most likely on their tail, it was also a race against time. They would have to be swift.
“So how do we proceed?” Calem asked as they drove in Sam’s police car. With Sam’s police cruiser, and the sirens on, all of the vehicles on the freeway drove to the side to let them go. Warren sat in the passenger seat, peering into the rearview mirror for any suspicious cars that might be following them.
“We must go to the airport and fly to the Capital. It’s located in the Caribbean, there’s no other way.”
“I heard that’s expensive though,” Son noted, “A few thousand per ticket just to go there. Are you sure we have the money for that? Why don’t we just sail there?”
“Me and Sam will pull it all together.”
“What?!” Sam said, looking at Warren in horror while her hands twisted the wheel. The cruiser twisted to the left to avoid a van that wouldn’t move. Sam looked ahead at the approaching city. There were no airports in Star City. The closest one was in the old capital, Washington DC.
“Fine. We’ll do it,” she decided. She brushed her hair to the side, her foot pressing harder on the acceleration pedal.
Big Jack squirmed in the middle back seat, looking past the bars of the cage nervously. He began to bite at his nails. Son looked at him with a raised eyebrow.
“Why are you so nervous?” Son asked. Big Jack looked back at Son and shrugged.
“I, uh, have never been outside of Star City,” Big Jack admitted. Calem snorted. Big Jack continued, “I’m a little afraid. What if people see me as a freak?”
Son rolled his eyes.
“Big Jack… If you were a freak, you’d be a huge one. I don’t think anyone would even look in your direction.”
Big Jack smiled at his words, looking ahead at the approaching city. Large towers and obelisks were visible on the skyline, and as they drove into the city they could see more buildings made of stone and brick than cement and steel.
“Here we are. Washington DC.”
WOOSH!
The sound of a roaring engine passed over them, and Big Jack looked on in awe to see an airplane fly above them westward. Big Jack pointed at it curiously.
“Woah! I’ve never seen an airplane before! That’s what they look like?” Big Jack asked. Calem nodded silently, running his fingers along the leather cover of Tales of Evolution and Survival.
“That’s exactly what it is. You’ve never seen a plane before?”
“Nope. Like I said… I’ve never been outside of Star City.”
“You’re a strange little man, Big Jack,” Calem told him. Big Jack scratched the back of his head and laughed.
“I guess I am huh? Well I’m just glad that I’m saving my son with some friends instead of doing it alone. Thank you all for letting me stick around.”
Warren couldn’t help but smile at his words. He looked at the back mirror with a smile.
“Of course, Big Jack.”
After a few more minutes of driving through the streets of Washington DC, they passed by a large palace that seemed to be made of sandstone and quartz. It was huge. A flag of the United Republic of Democracies was planted in the front lawn, and a bunch of gardeners were tending to it.
“Pretty big palace huh? They called it the White House. But they don’t use it anymore,” Sam explained, “According to the history books, before the United Republic of Democracies and the Western States of America, there was a nation called the United States of America. This was where their president left.”
“In this huge city where anything could go wrong?” Big Jack questioned with a raised eyebrow. Sam nodded.
“Yep. That’s in fact what happened to the last president of the USA. She was assassinated and it plunged the whole nation into turmoil, ultimately causing the creation of two separate countries. Do you not know this? This is a necessary curriculum for a high school education!”
“Oh! Yeah, I didn’t go to school.”
“Well that explains a lot,” Son muttered.
“Hey… I couldn’t go, okay? I had to help my dad. And my mom. With work,” Big Jack frowned. Warren could’ve sworn a tear formed in his eye. Warren frowned.
“Sorry Big Jack.”
Big Jack smiled again at Warren’s words.
“Thanks Judge. You’re a nice guy even though you’re a good fighter and even though you look mean. And you know what…” Big Jack decided, “You don’t need to call me Big Jack. Call me by my real name. Jack.”
“Okay Jack. Whatever floats your boat.”
A few more moments of driving, and they eventually reached a large airport. It was a huge glass dome that reflected the sunlight off it and blinded their eyes. Airplanes took off from the runways connected to it to fly to who knew where.
They soon drove into a driveway where tons of cars were dropping off families with suitcases. They drove past the drive through and into the parking lot, where Sam parked.
“Alright. Let’s move. Hopefully we don’t already have a hit out for us and hopefully the United Intelligence Agency isn't waiting for us at those doors,” Sam said. Jack suddenly became nervous.
“Um. If that’s the case why are we going in there?”
“If they’re there… Well, we’ll figure it out,” Calem decided. Son grumbled, putting his hands in his pockets.
“I don’t know if I like this plan,” Son said.
“Me neither,” Warren added on, “Can we at least have a plan if we do?”
“Too late Warren. We’re already going in,” Sam said, walking toward the front doors. Her long black-blonde hair swayed in the wind as it did. Warren blinked his eyes as he stared at her, and he felt his heart skip a beat.
“You’ll always be you no matter what huh?” Warren thought as he followed after her. Their new friends followed too.
As they walked into the dome, they were greeted with the chattering of excited strangers, eager for their vacations. Some weren’t eager, notably children, who were crying and complaining to their elders. Warren looked around the dome, his eyes darting left to right. There were no suspicious-looking individuals, and no one paid any attention to them.
“Looks like we’re safe to go. Now let’s go buy some tickets to the Capital. Then, we’ll be good to go,” Sam decided.
The five of them walked up to the front counter, where a line of airport employees waited, typing away on their computers reports and other doodads. They picked the shortest line, and when it was their turn they quickly bought tickets for the earliest flight to the Capital.
“Mission success. Wasn’t so bad now was it Warren?” Sam smirked as she waved the ticket in Warren’s face. Warren felt himself growing more and more nervous under Sam’s gaze. He averted his attention to the terminals.
“Let’s go already… We don’t wanna be late for our flight,” Warren said. He stared at Jack who was staring at his ticket and holding it up to inspect the light.
“Oooh,” Jack muttered under his breath.
The five quickly made their way to the terminal, where people were already beginning to board it. The five waited in line, and as they reached the tunnel an attendant whipped out a scanner and scanned all their tickets. The woman smiled brightly at them and showed them the tunnel.
“Warren Justice, Samantha Stone, Jack Jones, Son Ngo, and Calem Donovan. Please enjoy your flight!”
The five of them began to walk through the tunnel, carrying nothing with them except for a weird book written by the President and a backpack filled with money and a few other snacks. They reached the inside of the plane cabin, and began to look around for their seats. The groups were clustered up in pairs.
“Alright. This is my seat. Looks like I’ll have to sit with a rando,” Calem said, staring at the A column. He took a seat down on it, and stuffed the book into the net storage. He looked at the others.
“I’ll see ya around then… Not too sure why I’m saying this though. We’ll see each other in a few hours.”
Calem began to look out the window, waiting for the plane to take off. Son and Jack conveniently had the seats right behind him. Jack got the window seat while Son got the aisle. As Jack got accustomed to the plane seat, he stretched his legs out and felt someone’s pants. Calem got annoyed and kicked his toes, and Jack let out an “Ouch!”. Son rolled his eyes and took out a sleeping mask, placing it over his eyes and instantly falling asleep.
Warren and Sam’s seats were all the way near the back of the plane. As they squeezed past civilians and stray suitcases, they made it to the back and it was then Warren realized that there were only two empty seats remaining. And they were right next to each other.
“Where is your seat?” Warren asked, looking around with confusion. He sat down next to the window, “I don’t see it-”
Sam took a seat next to him, much to his surprise. Warren opened his mouth to speak, but Sam quickly hushed him.
“Shut up… There were no other seats left,” she whispered, turning a slight shade of red. Warren blinked his eyes, and looked out the window, watching the plane zoom past the runway and fly off into the sky.
Okay, so I'm level 44 and I want a spino, so I'm hunting on my ptaredon and I see a level 10... so I go to a cliff and knock it out right so I'm freaking out and all of a sudden It gets FLUNG into the air with like a violin sound I'm I'm like wth and then I see a raptor and my whole world shattered 😅
This is from my first days of playing ARK. My first Spino was named Lizzie. She was awesome looking, and mildly strong to boot. 34 isn't bad for a rookie tame, right? She was a complete shadow, except for a bright red sail top. She was an impressive looking beast, to say the least. Well, I was taming a T-Rex for the first time, and the entire party, including my best friend and Lizzie, fell to the beast. We managed to tame her too, so Lizzie's sacrifice was not in vain. With my current level of knowledge, she would easily have been saved.
I still go to that familiar stretch of water, going into the swamp, where I met her. I still hope on occasion she'll meet me there again. But, because of that attachedness I make sure almost none of my Spinos fall to the wild. I do it for her.
