PErsonally I believe spinos are obviously better than rexes for many reasons: but mainly the water buff but spinos In my opinion are harder to tame BC of that underwater buff BC they are fricking fast and they are kinda huge to trap same as the Rex but at least rexes are slower and a little less dangerous because they are slow(EXCLUDING the alpha idk bout the other varients: Xrex, Etc)

In my thacth base a spino I was preparing to be in antill it goes but it came i panicked and it killed all my dilopasourers and my moschops and my one dodo 😭😭😭🥲🥲🥲🥲😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😓😰😰

I was really cocky that i got a spino on an early level. His name was yorukage,was like my body guard, protecting me from other spinos, Sarcos and dilo's , and whenever someone bullied me i took him and got them there a handed to them. I loved him a lot.

One day i saw a spino and took him for some hide and meat. He wasn't attacking so i set him on aggressive 😭

I wish didn't . He killed the spino but he did stop there. He went on a spree killing everything in sight. I tried to stop to no avail. Tried to make him follow me but he didn't. Got on my icthio and tried but he still fought.

Till a group of 4 Megs cornered us and i shot at them with my cross bow and..he fought them of barely and then mantas attacked us and he died , i hit rock bottom. I pursued the manta and killed him. But my sweet boi was gone. I almost cried. I sat there till he was gone....

I went back to base and ate 190 narcoberry and knocked myself out.....It felt horrible. And it was my fault

When I was looking for a Gali to tamed when I saw a spino I tranquilize it but then my parsaur unfortunately killed it rip...

I had a spino on gen 2 named spiny she had a blue spine I found her by the lake outside of rockwells cave (hella reaper cave) but sadly her life was ended by a void wyrm in the space area it was sad so I know use her dather for finding shadow manes and exploring

I was really dumb while taming one of these boys.

So you might have seen my story on taming a Rex. It took around 20 bio toxins and I had around 40 left I checked a bunch of stuff on Dododex but forgot to check how many toxins I needed. I remembered while going through step by step in my head, but I didn’t bother checking. It only took 20 on a Rex, so 40 should be good for a spino, right? I went to the spino, built my stone house with windows, and started shooting. It fell unconscious, and I started feeding it. But I noticed I was running out of bio toxins fast. I checked on Dododex how many I needed, and I didn’t have enough! I started panicking and gathering narcoberries, but when I gave him narcos, (I still had a lot of bio toxins, I just wanted to test if narcos would work) they didn’t work as I was used to! I panicked some more and quickly run to the ocean for more bio toxins, but I don’t see any Cnidaria! I panicked more, but then I had an idea! I quickly checked on Dododex what kibble they eat, hoping I could speed the taming up with it, but I didn’t have argentavis eggs! After more panicking a had another idea, an idea that had to work. I gather a bunch of stone and craft a mortar and pestle. I gather more narcos, and took the meat that had spoiled. I crafted a bunch of narcotics, but I didn’t have enough narcoberries. I gather more, and about now I run out of bio toxins. I craft a bunch more narcotics and end up with about 25. (I actually started with 13) i am now out of spoiled meat. I wait some more, feeding him narcotics and meat, and he finally tames, with 10 narcotics left. I will never neglect to check stuff again.

The Titan duel

Within the Hidden Lake resides a mighty beast (lvl 475) known by the name of Gunnar. Gunnar is a fully imprinted Spinosaurus with a thirst for blood, he was relentless and brutal. Anything within his path would fall after a slash or two of his deadly claws. But then one day, a challenger stood in his path, it was the well known and feared Giganotasaurus. The two locked sights upon eachother and roared as both met head on in a collision, the two titans fought with tooth and claw. Leaving crippling wounds….after what seemed like an hour of fighting, the dust had settled and the challenger had succumbed to his wounds, bloodied and severely injured, Gunnar roared out in victory and asserting dominance throughout the island as the new Tyrant King. The Spinosaurus to this very day still resides within the hidden Lake, his thirst for blood, unquenched.

I have two things for this bad boy : a story and a tip for only ragnorak players. This is ragnorak Okay so frist if you want a spino but don't want it to run away but you don't have the time , resources, or space to build an entrie trap for I got you..Frist get two behemoth gateways and their respective doors .(Also get pillers and a trap large enough to effect it .this is just in case) Next you'll need to get to the grand canyon area and find a giant skeleton. ( I entering from the ocean it should be on the right)Place the behemoth gates on each end of the skeleton (If I remember right I should be large enough to be able to block the spino in.) Place the pillar at any large openings that you may think could let the spino out.their you go you have spino trap Now just knock it with tranq dart and be on your way. The story requires some context so I play ark for a long while then I got bored of it ( I'm a single player so yeah) So I didn't play it for about half a year. When I beck I played on the island map which I was max level with some chibi levels. When I came back I had all my levels but lost all my stuff.So now I restarted got some tames And found a place with a nice view where my base was originally only one problem a spino was in the river.All I had was petreadon, a spino ,and two ankys.So I dicided to tame it so I spent an entrie day build a trap for It. When It was ready I took all my dinos and hid them .I went after the spino one problem .It moved to the ocean .I know its out of the way but It was still a problem becuase it would be a problem in the future also It was like level 74.So how to deal with this problem. Well I went on my raft And crafted a bow and some arrows started shooting at it But Was far of so I had to get closer.I had to basicly be right next to in ot order to shoot it and it Argo but piranhas or meagloden attack it I lose agro I shoot it again, we did this twice.well got down In the trap knocker her out and tamed her.So now I'm getting A saddle for her just need more keratin and silca pearls. Also I tamed her on like day 7 or something so yeah .

Ye I really didn't thought these guys wake up so fast.... Well at that time I didn't have dodex so once I came back he was awake and killed me. Well now I know I would need 50 narcotics to tame these guys in pc u can split meat so they become rotton fast but that's not the same on mobile.... This seems unfair (I don't think it would be so hard to add split in mobile like long press to maybe split idk but this is kinda unfair cuz we have to wait a lot hopefully they will add this..)

Idk why these guys have a problem with me because everytime I make a world and make a base which is usually near the beach (I m a beach Bob) the game the game just spawns one just just in the water in front of my base and it just attacked me but I was ready this time as soon as I saw a spino in the water I little send my 5 raptors and 2 baronx(srry if I misspelled this as I always forget it's name) and they kill the spino finnaly the revenge of my first raptor and my two dodos who got attacked by this spino may they rest in peace R. I. P (Also if u see them don't send your tames after them if u think I was able to kill the spino it was probably a low level one as I play on easy because I am new and also on mobile)

I found a max lvl 300 one, decided to kill my old spino 💀 RIP Soarbites, wouldn't be forgotten easily, thanks for putting ur life in the line for me

I have alot of spinos now from breeding to get a very op one, killed most of them aswell, do I feel bad? Yes

But I must keep moving on, sacrifices has to be made

The spino kills every thing unlike the rex the spino is a killer it kills every thing in its path the rex cannot even fight in the water

Im level 47 when i tame my first spino im so happy because its the only dino i saw in the island (im on mobile btw) we go adventuring together but then the jellyfish thingy saw my spino i tried to get away as fast as we can but my raft is slow the. Chinedra i forgot its name stunned my spino then it got killed and i tamed 3 spinos r.i.p i will forever miss you ryouko

Oh god…. So I just started a new world and spinos spawn right by my house so i have to be so cautious, they are death… tip: stay away unless endgame or mid game

I was waking up from my wooden shelter( I was at lvl 26) and heard the sound parasails make when they die. I lived in the foot-paw region in the south. I assumed a high leveled dilophosaur got the best of it.Then I heard the sound pteranodons make when there attacked. I turned around and saw a spinosaurus fighting carbonemys. I used to play on mobile and had to move away because a spinosaurus destroyed it along with my 4 raptors and lvl 80 sarco. I’ve hated them ever since. I decided to just have some fun shooting the spino with a few arrows. I climbed on to a cliff and got out of reach of the spino. It got stuck in the rocks and I was thrilled about that , so I fired just around 25 arrows and then I decided to do a few more because my food bar was low. I shot one more before captions showed up on my screen saying “ you killed a level 14 spino “ I was overjoyed and to focused I made my least favorite Dino get killed I jumped off the cliff next to it’s carcass.I had an impact on the ground so my health was low. But I forgot to eat.Life lesson: always eat breakfast or you’ll die of starvation.

So when I was new to the game I had built a base near water cuz I thought it was a good idea for when I'm dehydrated but suddenly a few days later I played the game again and there was a spinosaurus right next to my house and I had to leave and then I went to the other side of the map the spinosaurus went there and killed all my dinos to the point that there was only one flame he was my only dilophosaurus left there but a few moments later when I went to go take a dodo for dodo eggs cuz you can eat them I found my second dilophosaurus named leaf cuz he was green and I didn't know any other names.

I tamed a spino.. on mobile.. And.. One of those dang jellyfish killed my spino called speedy (ू˃̣̣̣̣̣̣︿˂̣̣̣̣̣̣ ू) I was so sad that I got a lot of Dino's to kill the jellyfish and well.. like 2 of my 13 Dino's lived

Stingo, he was my whole tribes favourite spino especially mine, he was yellow and I had to say goodbye to him as the ark server got shut down forever :( RIP Stingo

I tried large bear trapping a lvl 2 one but it walked through the bear traps and killed me
