The annoying spinos

So I just spawn on a island waking up with a thing inside my arm confused.

I just do the normal beginning stuff when going for a stroll I spot a spino

And I check other rivers near my west zone 1 and a total of 4 creepy spinos.because of this I have to check if they don’t become a bad thing for every once in a while.

I sure hope my ark life will not end because of the spinos.

I’m in the water Spino area on Ragnarok, I’ve unsuccessfully tamed 5 level 150 Spino’s so far. (They keep getting hit while down OR killed in the process of taming) So on this 5th try I get it knocked out and have a COMPLETE ring of spike traps so nothing can get to the Spino. I even set up 3 guards (2 Rex’s and a thyla) in a wide perimeter outside the spikes).

I’m halfway done taming this thing, it’s already eaten a bunch of kibble and then an ARGY FLIES DOWN FROM ABOVE IN THE AND HITS ME AND THE SPINO. I almost deleted Ark that day.

So I have one question how do you tame these things!!!!

Local noob in mobile went hunting for explorer notes near the red obelisk. What a fool I was.

According to my map, there were 3 notes on a stretch of coastline near the obelisk. So I sailed in on my wooden raft to go look for them.

On the other side of the beach, I spied a spino. And I didn’t like what I saw. So I sailed away, abandoned the quest and then opened it again to see if there was a note slightly closer to home.

It showed another note slightly further out, so I went for that one instead. But I saw another spino, and decided to retreat and see if it left. Because I’d never been spino’d before and I wasn’t about to start now, since I knew they were angry carnivores.

The spino left, and I came closer to the shoreline. Only to be targeted by a very, very angry sarco (level 7). Somehow I managed to kill it alone with just a spear. Then I did the smart thing and ditched the area, explorer notes be damned. The spino will be in my nightmares forever.

Here is a story on an abberation server I played on, I was just starting out and this level 120 spino destroys my tames and my house, however I manage to knock it out since I didn't think I could kill it and usually I wouldn't tame a 120 however since I literally had nothing left I decided to tame it anyways and that was a good choice, the spino ended up having 419 melee which is very good on a spino and I found a 150 spino with pretty good stats except melee which was 305 and I created a monster...

So I was taming a dire bear at redwoods and left him on passive knocked out the dire bear almost tamed it then A FRICKEN DIMORPH ONE HIT KILLED MY 2K HEALTH LVL 79 SPINO WHAT THE HELL ARK IT WAS ON EASY AND CASUAL R.I.P Fisher I raised.him from birth my first spino ever

I had a spino named Razor we were being raided he was a level 180 with 29k hp he fought abseloutley fursiosly luckily we fought off the tribe but Razor’s egg hatched and the baby was killed :( it was a mutation as well

What I did was find a ledg and shot it and you need to bring narcotics i did not so I just kept showing it to keep it asleep

One day it was a very bad time the lv 17 spino came to my base (When I was lv 14) I have 1 dodo 2 dinosaur 2 parasaur 2 carbon and 1 raptor... IT KILL ALLL MY DINOS except 1 Male dilo R.i.p to my dinosaur that died

The Survivor (Part 1)

He jolted awake. A million thoughts flitted through his mind, but one rose above the rest: Who am I? He couldn’t remember anything. He looked around. Strange, knobbly trees stuck out of the scummy, still water. The air was stagnant and humid. A swamp. It was nighttime. He got up out of the muck. He pinched himself, nails digging into his skin. “Wake up,” he muttered. He did it again. And again. He did in until he bled. He screamed into the darkness, “WAKE UP!!!” Silence. The darkness didn’t respond. He wasn’t dreaming. And he was alone.

He continued to think even as he worked. By the time he was done, he had several ramshackle tools and a makeshift torch. He stuck the torch into the ground and sat beside it. The heat of the flames combined with the stickiness off the air was uncomfortable, but he couldn’t afford to lose the light. Staring out at the dark water, he continued to think. “Who am I?” Again, the darkness gave no answer. He paused. “Well, if I can’t remember my name, I guess I’ll make one! Hmm… Wait, I got it! Pete!” He said it again. “Yeah, I like the sound of that. Pete!” Just as Pete was beginning to cheer up, a branch snapped behind him. He spun around, knocking the torch over. The flames extinguished in the warm muck. He scrabbled at the ground, trying to find the piece of flint he had used for the torch. Got it! He stuck the torch back into the mud and furiously chipped the edge of his stone hatchet against the flint. Sparks flew onto the head of the torch, and the flames exploded back to life. He yanked the torch back out of the ground and stared into the tall bushes. Nothing. He exhaled. Wait. A glimmer appeared in the darkness. Then another. And another. Eyes. He gasped and stumbled backwards until he was ankle-deep in the silty water. A low growl emanated from the bushes. The leaves rustled, and a creature stepped out. It was taller than him, with a scaly body. It stood on two legs. It’s fingers were tipped with wicked, curved claws. It’s gleaming eyes held intelligence. Four others stalked from the bushes, keeping behind the first. Raptors. Every instinct inside Pete screamed RUN, but he knew they would catch up in seconds. His spear was at the feet of the first raptor. He was completely defenseless. They started to advance. There was nothing Pete could do. Then they stopped. When Pete looked into the leader’s eyes, and he saw an emotion he was very familiar with: fear. The leader barked an order, and the whole pack turned and fled back into the bushes. What? Why would- He heard a growl behind him. It was much deeper than the raptor’s. Pete slowly turned around. A massive form rose out of the water. The spinosaurus’s eyes glowed like embers. It’s wet scales reflected the torchlight, gleaming like emeralds. A low rumble came from it’s throat. And it roared. The sound shook the earth. It charged out of the water, strait at Pete. So Pete did what any sensible human would do: run.

I wanted to tame one but someone on my tribe killed it so I still am keeping the thing it dropped so I can revive it

One time I had a spino named Lixxy. And she was a level 389. She was the QUEEN at raiding, one time (when I did not know anything about griffin mount) I climbed up there, and once I fell, she was flying in the air, dead. Her health was abt 50,879k. And her dmg was as much as a 560 giga! That’s 900 melee! And when she died, our tribe mates where praying that we would find another spino, better then lixxy and stronger, Pray for lixxy, amen ‘^’

Alright guys, so funny story time... My tribmate said lets go tame a rex, were on a public server and we find one. We saw the rex get absolutely obliterated by a wild spino. SPINOS ARE UNDERRATED!!

I was busy dealing with a Raptor with my Pteranodon then a Spinosaurus spawned right behind me and attacked me, I had a panic attack as I was wearing hide armour with a sword and bow. I almost died with about 40 health left, now I’m always watching me back when I’m doing stuff.

So I was trying to join a tribe with a guy named BlackArrow. So I was trying to find his base and I meet up with derpymaster another person who was trying to join arrow’s tribe. We went to his house, got some food. I left my para(Andy) on the beach so I could get him later. Will we were getting Andy when Arrow arrived on his Ingunadon with his Spino (Chaos) behind him. That triggered my instincts so ( I thought Arrow was being chased by Chaos) so I moved out of the way and told Andy to follow. Now we all live on a beach/forest. But today ark lagged so badly that all our games lagged out of existence. We lost a pack of raptors,Andy,Snapper(a sarco), el toro (a carno), trike, Derpy’s Dilo,an Ingunadon I believe and Chaos.

I remember when me and my friend were first playing with each other and there was a spino nearby and he went to investigate and the next thing I know I hear a bloodcurdling scream and a message that he died, the spino came to us and we lost out wood and thatch mansion to that thing and killed our dodo army. Looking back on this we could of just worked on an emergency shelter made from stone since spinos can’t destroy stone, adobe you name it.

One of these mfs killed my favourite raptor and ran off. So I did the only reasonable thing and I enslaved the whole spino population as revenge and made them commit genocide against their own kind. R.I.P Big Birb :(

Hi here’s a devastating story I’d like to share!(against my will)

So one time I was out on my argy who was imprinted and was the best argy because I had to breed so many times for good stats and mutations for colors. The argy’s name was Argb(RGB) because she was well…RGB. So anyway we were out getting xp for my argy and we came across a spino. We quickly got out cause it was a 475 level. Apparently it followed me and my tribe noticed it behind me. We got our items and tames out but almost died. Our base was ruined but we trapped the spino. It broke out of the trap and killed Argb. We tranqed it but Argb was still dead. We named the spino dead’hawk because it killed my argy. Lesson here is to always look behind you.

Snow…..

So when I tamed this beautiful glowing white spino I had just the idea what to name it! Snow, it was a female spino with pretty good stats but I never got to ride her… however I tried my best to craft a spino saddle until one day I did it…. I gladly rid on snow until the 4th day she was gone…. I was worried so I checked tames. I searched snow but it wasn’t there.. my heart was beating fast until I checked tribe logs. I looked what happened for over 3 minutes.. a small tear came down my cheek when I saw “spino lvl 67 snow was killed to theri lvl 12” I was even surprised because snow had very good stats! In fact her health was 2347… I tried taming another spino but I gave up…. She was the easiest spino I could Was able to tame.. until I saw another spino that was like her… I never tamed it and never had a chance…. But that’s when I just gave up I knew I was a noob and couldn’t tame so I’d always kill spinos I’d see to that day… (rip snow, ice, and freezer my best cold friends I ever had) if u feel bad please like this story. I worked very hard on this btw
