If you want to tame one you have found the right guy so here is how do it get on a cliff because these things are massive so no rock shall do then shoot it with normal arrows then when he starts running start loading tranqs on him till he’s knocked out tranq arrows will do because they have quite low torpor then feed him fish/prime fish meat you will need a few not too many narcotics/ bio toxins then you got your self a spino. like if this helped

Spino VS Rex! Who will win?!?! Amount of attacks: Spino- 2 attacks. Rex- 1 attack. Plus---- The Spino has a buff when they touch water that lasts for 30 seconds. One thing that the Spino can do is either run on 4 legs or on 2 legs, the Spino has 1 attack but that attack changes depending on if the Spino is walking/Running. The Supreme Spinosaurus

DIFFICULTY LVL:- 6/10 [INTERMEDIATE]

IN ORDER TO TAME A SPINOSAURUS:-

THINGS YOU'LL NEED:-

1. A Crossbow and some tranq arrows or a Long Neck Rifle and tranquilizer darts.

2. Exceptional Kibble, Raw prime fish meat, Raw fish meat or Argentavis Kibble (Old ARK Mobile only).

3. (If you wanna tame with a trap) 15-20 fence foundations and stone walls and finally the ramps.

TAMING:-

METHOD NO. 1:-

If you have a quick mount (such as Gallimimus, Kaprosuchus, Raptor etc) you can outrun the Spinosaurus by putting some points in speed and knock it out.

DIFFICULTY: 8/10 [ARDUOUS] YOU'LL HAVE TO RUN AROUND WHEN THE SPINOSAURUS WILL RUN AWAY FROM YOU IN THE DANGER.

METHOD NO. 2:-

If you have a tanky mount (such as Brontosaurus, Paraceratherium etc) the dino will take/ressist the damage while you're knocking it out.

DIFFICULTY: 7/10 [MODERATE] THE SPINOSAURUS'S SPEED WILL BE MORE THAN YOUR TANKY MOUNT AND WILL RUN AWAY EASILY INTO DANGER.

METHOD NO. 3:-

Build 10-12 stone pillars high as it won't even reach to you and you can knock out the Spinosaurus.

DIFFICULTY: 7/10 [MIDDLING] HOWEVER THE SPINOSAURUS WILL RUN AWAY FROM YOU EASILY.

METHOD NO. 4:-

Build 15-20 fence foundations and stone walls of atleast 3-4 times higher and finally the ramps, then lure the Spinosaurus into the trap and knock it out.

DIFFICULTY:- 1/10 [EFFORTLESS] THE SPINOSAURUS WON'T WANDER AROUND AND YOU CAN KNOCK IT OUT EASILY.

FACTS:-

1. The Spinosaurus's saddle unlocks on lvl 71, and it needs - 380 Hide

200 Fibre

45 Cementing Paste

25 Silica Pearls

2. It does have an untameable version in Extinction which is the Corrupted Spinosaurus mainly in the Wastelands.

3. It has a Hydration Buff that allows it to increase its damage and resistance when in water.

4. It is quite quick mount in water as well as land.

5. However, for beginners, they are quite dangerous and harmful as they spawn in the Southern Regions.

As far as I know, only 3 wild carnivores will aggro onto the sight of your spino, other Spinos, Rexes, and Gigas. You can probably outfight other spinos, outrun rexes, or outfight lower level ones, and outrun gigas. Very useful.

i played hard mode in ark mobile and then I see this red spino that has LVL 200 near my base,I tried my best to trap this beast by leading it into my trap but it killed my baby dodo in passive😭. luckily i managed traping this beast using me as a bait and died. I spawn in and take a look this beast it was red natural.Yep I called him ALPHA PRIME bcs its a cool name by its color of it.It can 1 shot at one lvl100 bronto and it seems like it's overpowered for this tame.Using ascendant spino saddle can make it can beat 5 gigas at once.Also it can beat the only 1 titano bcs of it's health.This A.P now my best fav spino in ark mobile;).

I am not joking.

I play mobile, single player, and I have one named Butch, tamed him when I was at level 20 something and him level 17 I believe, he’s now level 43 and the only place he doesn’t go with me is underwater and caves.

Do no be scared grabbing one, I was terrified taming Butch, but in all honesty he wasn’t that bad, I was just paranoid. While narcotics are good to use, I find biotoxin even better and it easily knocks a spino nearly back to full tempor.

I used a crossbow and stood on a sharp cliff face, letting butch run around and kill the other animals in the water, which did actually distract him long enough to knock him right out. I highly suggest trying to grab one in the easier areas, mine being from the Long: 40 Lat: 80 area. Here you can easily get biotoxin too, as the jellies spawn in the area pretty frequently, it being a low level area and they’re easy to get to with a crossbow!

Monstrous water mount, I have a bred spino I raised and I use it for everything, alpha rexes, deep sea creates, it eats mosasaurs with ease.

if you are new (lvl 12-ish) here's how to deal with this punk, make sure to have these:

-Full cloth armor + a gift cloth armor piece

-10+ spears

-bow and 20 arrows

-if you're in that level, metal axe or pickaxe

-slingshot 30+ rocks

-a dino (2 dilos or if you managed to get one, a trike or carbo)

-a will to live cuz getting all that SНIТ isn't gonna be easy

I tamed a lv 116 whith just a long neck and darts on foot they aren't as hard to tame as people say.

They drown if knocked out in water :(

Perfect for under water drops. If for any reason you disconnect down there (and you will) it will float to the surface. To get the drop just jump off and whistle follow all straight away and you'll be fine. These can take on all sea creatures with ease.

If you don’t see a spino to tame kill all the fish in a river.

Just seeing one of these bad boys/girls just puts my heart into fast mode.Taming these are kind of easy as long as if you have a dino to give to it and has to be high hp so my pt died to it and dododex was kinda wrong because it just took me like 5 to 10mins and was a lvl7 I used raw fish meat(I don't have prime fish meat my sacro ate them all) and baby sitting was actually very easy unlike what I knew there was no gigas,rex,Titanoba,raptor's and etc it was very easy as feed look at the purple bar thing I know it has a name but I don't know that spinosaurus killed a FREAKING LEVEL 29MEG WHEN IT WAS LEVEL9 WHEN IT TAMED UP THESE THINGS ARE BEASTS

Spinos spawn along rivers on the island and are counted as an aquatic tame so they are affected by the aquatic spawn cap. This means you must kill fish to get them to spawn. Good luck!

Ok so I met a level 108 spino should I tame it?

If you tame a 30-40 early game along with tame bonus you can kill most anything in your way.

If you see these freaken things just run if you don't have a long neck rifle and chitin armor they will wreck you face I learned that the hard way

I play on PC so I’m going to tame one on extinction today, so I think that I’ll use the method of a couple stone floors, doorframe’s, and a ramp. I think that that trap will work perfectly cause it is good on Rexes and other larger Dino’s.

How to place:

It’s really east honestly, just place a 5-5 foundation, 3 doorframe long square with ramps on the side for it to go in. I’ve tried and it works on pretty much everything to a Rex. (maybe make it bigger with a Dino gate too ) also, you can run and make it follow you and then just run out of the door frame to tranq it. This is honestly the most OP trap. Wish me luck!

To all the people who are like “there is a spino how do I deal with it”

Well I have had first hand experience fighting these as a low level. So really you have a few options. You can

A: try to kill it with ranged weapons

B: try to kill it with wild herbivores

C: use your tames to try to kill it

And

D: run

For A

You will want a decent crossbow and 10-20 arrows for a level 1-10. Then get high ground to shoot at it. Spinos have low health off they are low level. But it will try to run

For B

Try finding high level or very strong herbivores

Hit it with a bow and get it to chase you. Then run past a herbivore that’s good for a fight with it and maybe try to help it with a bow

For C

You will need a strong tames and basically you want the spino out of water and you fight it with your tames. Whistle target and send them to fight. Make sure to back them up so use a ranged weapon

And finally for D

D is actually really complex and risky. You need to get all your stuff and put it in your tames and run away from the spino. Now you should scout where your gonna go first and make sure there’s a way to get around all the threats.
