Ok so I had to do this cause everybody was so yea. Dudes and dudettes tame spinos if u wanna take down bosses. Really tho.they are mobile ,fast, and strongger than rexkes.How u might ask. I tried fighting a megapithecus with 10 rexes. It took 12 mins.i tried spinos it took 9 mins.So yea they are very strong and I say VERRY STRONG.Once in ark mobile I had an acsendant spino full levled it had 45,000,000 health ,dealt 800k damage and one shot a titan.Btw this is not a lie. I literally did that.I had lucky patcher hacks.😄😄

If you are hunting for one make sure you have a ranged weapon so if it tries to run you can shoot it.

Require the most prep work so first up you wanna build a ramp leading up to a 3ny 3 door frame stacked on top each other then load up you can use a raptor if your more comfortable with that once the spinosaurs is in the box fire at it once it’s down unconscious feed it fish meat if your spino wakes up don’t worry shoot it back down but feed it narcotics to keep it asleep

One of the more useful dinos in mid game once you unlock bow or crossbow and tranq arrows you need a Dino that you can mount with a saddle with a crap ton of health you spray at the spino once it’s down feed it fish meat and also if you have a thing that boosts taming use it it will do 60% of it done in just 30 seconds

Spinos are very very good for land travel, considering many dinos are neutral towards you while mounted, and it can move very quickly. Compared to a rex, the spino is unmatched as a travel mount.

If you are a starter and you want to tame one of these or kill one of these I recommend making a trap or manual saving your game in the files so if you die instead of going for your loot over and over again just load the saved file.

If you want to knock one out just make sure there are other creatures close. They get distracted easily and will ignore you if there’s other things to kill closer than you are. Just make sure nothing is angry at it I was taming a spino that was about 70% done until a turtle showed up that was angry at the spino and killed it

To perfect tame 150 on 2x tame trap it knock out feed it nothing let it wake up knock it out again give it 8 kibble it will immediately eat 4 because it was starved and 4 more bites will tame with no narc at max lvl(224)

First find one, second get a ton of tranquilizer arrows, third lead it to a cliff, fourth shoot shoot shoot.

I saw a spino fighting Seven megalodons and then I saw the spino and the megs were gone. Soooo

In general, for an easy tame build a taming raft. Make sure to have a few large storage boxes filled with narcotics, few preserving bins with meat or kibble in it.

Lure any kind of creature into the raft with a flyer (pteras or argies works better).

Once trapped tranq it down, and move the raft away from the shore a bit. Not to much or you'll atract leedsythis (those giant fish-whales thingies lol)

Easy and happy taming

In my opinion, the spino is one of the best land mounts in the game. They have a high DPS and more stamina than a Rex. They can run and swim very quickly if you upgrade their movement speed. If you have a high level spino, you can easily kill alphas (might want to be careful with alpha rexs though.) They're good for meat runs because a high level spino can slaugher almost anything.

To those trying to find one of these, look around in the river channels near the green obelisk. If that doesn’t work, kill all the fish in your local river. Killing the fish seriously works… I’ve done it several times. Unfortunately, the spinos were low level, so I killed them for EXP. Repeat until you have high level spino.

Watch out for theris when trying to tame these things… they always killed spinos. I’ve tried to tame six spinos so far, and five out of those six times a theri has killed the spino.

Hi! If you’re a beginner and want to tame a spino without a trap, heres a tutorial

1. Look for a low level spino

2. Craft 45-50 tranq arrows, 45 narcotics, and a crossbow

3. Get up somewhere high but where you can shoot at it and not get hit

4. You might miss some shots so that why I recommend crafting a lot of tranq arrows.

5. Shoot at it until it passes out, if it isn’t close do not approach! It might come closer if there’s another creature there that can get it’s attention

6. Put in 25-30 fish meat (because you might not have prime)

Watch for its torpor make sure It doesn’t wake up!

Watch out for any raptors and carnos, if you knocked it out in the water be careful with giant piranhas

And boom you have a low level spino 🗣️

If you play on ark mobile, make sure to see what their level is, at low levels below 5 I think, both the spino I have and the one I am taming rn (single player so it's frozen in the background) the tame bar raised by 7% roughly for both, and they're lvl 4 and lvl 3. So it only takes exactly 15 meat to tame these, and they're easy to knock out, cliff, when they run, ir you're fast enough and have enough to survive the jump from tur cliff jump off and chase em

This is a hard to get dino know for its hostile activity and apex strength for taming it is not an easy task knowing that they can swim and run faster then you with means retreat is not an option. But an easy way to get one is to steal an egg but doing this is very dangerous but the size of the spino I so big but it has a slow attack on trees witch means if you can get away into a dense forest you can snag a egg without death but you should not be so happy yet you need to get away from the spinos not leading them to your camp. You should go deeper in the forest and then head to your camp if something kills you that means you should go get your items at first death and if your items despawn then restart the process until you succeed.
