It was surprisingly easy to tame a level three one, as it spawned next to my home. It took about six darts from the crossbow for me to knock this one down. To tame, I gave it about 4 prime raw fish meat and 10-35 pieces of regular raw fish meat. However, it took SOOOO LONGGGGG TO TAME!!!! Anyways.

Spinos are harder to tame than rexes because 1. They are faster, 2. They deal much higher damage on 2 legged stance and much faster at dealing it too

First of all: Get your strongest unit and head to a Spino. Second of all: When you see your creature getting more bloody than the Spino, Distract the Spino, Go to your base & get your army prepared, once the Spino comes whistle at the Spino & fight, helping your units is a great solution if you start losing whistle all your guys and run away with the guys. Find a powerful unit your 100% confident you can take down, feed it while it’s unconscious, head back to the Spino then send your overpowered army to it use all your strength to rather tame it or kill it.

Heo to tame a spino

1: get traq arrows

2:tame a ichtysaurus

3: get a ichtysaurus saddel

4: get a lot of raw fish meat

5:get a lot of Bio toxin

6: find a spino

7:use your ichtysaurus to go underwater and shoot the spino from under

8:once the spino is knocked feed it raw fish meat

9:if the spino is gonna wake up soon feed the spino Bio Toxins

Then you shall have it

These things take hella fall damage. Just a 1 meter drop and 90% of your spinos hp is evaporated

ARK MOBILE

-Make a 3*3 box stone trap. With 3 height wall, and ramp on one side.

-Simply just bait them into the trap using either flying/fast land mount.

-Knock it out using tranq arrow/dart

P.s. On mobile, you can tribute Artifact of The Massive (Lava Cave) to get higher quality Longneck Rifle so you can knock out dino easily

Rexes are for the big hits and high health but these guys attack and move way faster

You should take this beast with tranq darts or shock tranqs and bring at least 100 bio toxin for below lvl 10 and 250 for above lvl 10

Starve tame it, just lead the spino into a non dangerous area and sleep in a sleeping bag, the next in game day it will starve now just ko it and and shove raw fish meat in it's mouth and you got a apex predator that protects you from its own kind.

I agree about getting too much narcotics but it can help cause torpor ends fast so pls use narcotics or do something else like give it kible

It is actually pretty easy to tame just get a giant turtle and tranqu it with tranqe arrows👍

You can still ride a Spino if you don't have a saddle yet by hopping on their tail and walking to where you want to stay. It's similar to the Sarco's "living raft" ability. Just whistle to where you want your Spino to run or swim, and they will carry you. How do I get onto their back, you ask? I make sure the front paws are higher than the rear paws so I can jump onto their spiky tail. Position yourself right, and set them to Aggressive, and you can watch one of nature's ultimate predators hunt everything around it.

To easily tame this large creature. Find it on redwood lakes or other lakes. It likes argentavis kibble sp use that so u can easily tame it!

SPINOS WAKE UP FAST, BRING ATLEAST 200-300 NARCOTIC AND BIO TOXINS!!!!!!!!

Its easy to tame these guys, this is what i do when taminf a low level to an average level: (works in all devices)

1. Find high ground and start shooting at it (30 tranq arrows maybe, and if no high ground then build a few stone pillars and ladders on it then start shooting)

2. It will run away when its torpidity is high, get down and chase after it and keep shootin (their pretty fast)

3. Once its knocked out, feed it raw fish or any other food that does better effects

4. Add about 60+ narcotics since their torpidity drops fast

5. Enjoy your new spino (they take about 30+ minutes to tame for a low level)

Had low level spawn by my large 4 story base. I said what the heck and knocked it out with tranq arrows. Had bunch of narcs at my base. Got soothing balm with the kibble and tamed it right away. For seriously level 2. He was awesome. Then I got 2 more higher levels and reaching more my max tame limit so sadly sacrificed him. He was such an ugly color lol but he did the job and protected my butt all the time.

Don't try to tame them from the open water. Yes, they're easy to knockout with an icthy, but they also drown. It will not tame fast enough to avoid drowning. Unlikely that it will wake up before drowning.

IDK if dinos come in different sizes on mobile, but a lvl 60 spino will NOT fit in a 3x3x3 stone trap

In abbrent spino will be more powerful maybe

I dont see anyone talking about how these buggers are if you don't trap them and they start running.... Chased one across the map
