Its easy to tame these guys, this is what i do when taminf a low level to an average level: (works in all devices)

1. Find high ground and start shooting at it (30 tranq arrows maybe, and if no high ground then build a few stone pillars and ladders on it then start shooting)

2. It will run away when its torpidity is high, get down and chase after it and keep shootin (their pretty fast)

3. Once its knocked out, feed it raw fish or any other food that does better effects

4. Add about 60+ narcotics since their torpidity drops fast

5. Enjoy your new spino (they take about 30+ minutes to tame for a low level)

Had low level spawn by my large 4 story base. I said what the heck and knocked it out with tranq arrows. Had bunch of narcs at my base. Got soothing balm with the kibble and tamed it right away. For seriously level 2. He was awesome. Then I got 2 more higher levels and reaching more my max tame limit so sadly sacrificed him. He was such an ugly color lol but he did the job and protected my butt all the time.

Don't try to tame them from the open water. Yes, they're easy to knockout with an icthy, but they also drown. It will not tame fast enough to avoid drowning. Unlikely that it will wake up before drowning.

IDK if dinos come in different sizes on mobile, but a lvl 60 spino will NOT fit in a 3x3x3 stone trap

In abbrent spino will be more powerful maybe

I dont see anyone talking about how these buggers are if you don't trap them and they start running.... Chased one across the map

I killed a meg with my hydrated spino and got 100+ fish meat and gave most of it to my bary and otter

I just lured it to the red obelisk then let it fall in. Boom. Natures spino trap 🪤. So purple can see consider upping this tip :)

(Just don’t let it get to the edges of the obelisk or it will get out.)

I am Dissapointed how people uses stone walls instead of something like trike can block the damages while you knock it down

Tbh, these guys are waaay better than some stinky old Rex. They have different attacks like the four feet they can bite and on two they can swipe/slash targets.

SOO... i was a lvl 25 at the time riding my new raptor when I saw a spino a thought to myself RUNNNNN but I was looking in my inventory and saw a soothing balm ...... to make a long story short my raptor died but I cam home with a new spino

So uh you know the person screaming they’re not useless? Hehheh....lemme explain why so I have a spino named “the eye of death” because his eyes were red. But his real name was “devil def” so we were out on our Rex with devil following us. And a Tapejara flying over us to keep eye out because devil was not that leveled...my Rex was at max level. Death...not so much so he was about lvl 123 so then we saw this super low lvl brontosaurus so we attacked it but it almost killed my Rex IN ONE HIT!!! It turned out my Rex was getting bit by raptors AND WE DIDNT NOTICE!! So my Rex called Rexy was almost dead until devil killed all the raptors (about 20 of them) got leveled up (about lvl 140) and completely wiped out that bronto since we just put him on attack target because Rexy would have died then it will attack us (bronto not the spino or Rex) so Rexy still survives today!! And they both found mates! Ze end!!!! ÙwÚ

To tame them you get Lure the spino to a cliff and tranq them

Changed my life is prime meat and tranq darts

Use 4 dino gates and 1 large bear trap. Place the bear trap in centre of 3 dino gates in a u shape big enough for spino to get in ,not to big, When the spino is in the trap stuck in the bear trap place the las dino gat blocking the spino inside. It takes 64 tranq darts using 167 longneck rifle. And 88 trans arrows. Need 200 narcotics to keep knocked out. Do not leave it without narcotics being consumed

To knock out spino find a high place or craft a pillar that is 10 blocks high then shoot the spino(recommended longneck rifle)(tranqdart)the until it run away from if it run away just keep firing until it know down

Once one of these things was chasing me. After about ten seconds the battle music stopped so I stopped sprinting. Then out of no where it jumped on top of me. The moral here is beaches are not safe

I saw a tip saying they can't be tamed underwater because they will drown. I don't think that's true. I'm currently taming one that's fully submerged, it's at 60% and full oxygen. Only about 3ft of his dorsal spines are above water. :)

On official I tamed a 130 bye getting it in a circle of giant bear traps and repeatedly head shoting it. With a master craft long neck and tranq darts took about 5-10 head shots. Used around 700 narcotics and used exceptional kibble. Still will take 2 hours though.

If being chased don’t think going into the water or scaling a cliff is a good idea, they’re great swimmers and when on four legs and climb decently. They are distracted easily, so try to get it to agro on a herd of trikes or other herbivores and run off to a safe distance.
