If U dont want to waste ur materials and your time and easier
Go to the border between river and sea near the green obelisk with ur Ichthyosaur and dont dismount it or u will die (because the spino and sometimes the other predators, but there isnt any raptor)
And u will see a spino. So use ur crossbow (we will use it underwater) because sometimes the spino goes to far from the border. When it hit the spino, the spino will chase U, so change ur weapon into ur fist and drive down the ichthyosaur as deep as the spino cant reach U and point ur ichthyosaur's head to the spino so U can aim the crossbow without any limit for turning ur character's body and shoot it when it flee, dont chase it until it really dont turning back because U can die or U have to see if the spino run away straight from U.
I recommend U to use binnocular so U can see its lvl and search and set its lvl on Dododex and U will know when it will flee.

Theyβre stronger than the T-Rex, and easier to tame, what else can I say? Also I found one near my base, so I made a crossbow and some narcotic and tamed it easily! β¦β¦ then I died her pink with potent dust
If you tame a 30-40 early game along with tame bonus you can kill most anything in your way.
Find one,wait for it to agro on something,shoot it with your 200 plus damage crossbow 5 times,you have a super rex
If you hear your mobile ring and you misplaced it.. run like hell because a spino is staring down at you.. right now..
A good way to get it unconscious without a flying dinosaur is by making 10 stone pillars, 10 wooden ladders then climbing up the pillars and shoot it with tranq darts or arrows, it can't break stone fast so ur safe. Pls don't use less than 10 pillars, I tried and I got pushed of the pillar and just died:( Sorry for my bad English. Hope this helped
Why tame either a Rex or Spinoβ¦ when you can take both? π
I tamed it by bringing the spino next to a cliff bottom , and I recommend the tapejara because it lands on walls and I used a crossbow with some tranqs and when he tried to escape I over shot it and leaded into a hole and then again tranqed it and got it done lol,and it prefers prime fish meet.USE 15x smoothing balm costs 45 amber
Want to tame a super dimetrodon? Read on! Before we get to it, you're gonna want to prepare these things:
DIFFICULTY:
5/ 10: Intermediate
WHAT YOU WILL WANT:
-Taming weapon and ammo (Bow (Tranq arrows), Crossbow (Tranq arrows), Longneck rifle (Tranq/ Shocking tranq darts)
-Taming food (Meat (I prefer raw over fish) / Mutton, Kibble)
-Biotoxin/ Narcotics
Now that you have what you need, let's get taming!
For this dino, there are 2 methods (Honest). Here they are:
METHOD 1: The Trap
The usual. 2x2 stone trap (4 stone floors, 16 stone walls and 4-6 ramps), cost efficient and simple. Lead the spino into the trap and tranq it down. When taming, make sure to watch its torpor as it drains quite fast!
METHOD 2: Trapless
Very easy to perform. Find a spino and tranq it down, and chase it when it runs (Do note the spino is EXTREMELY fast). Also clear the area of nasties (I lost my spino to a Therizino), they like to aggro on everything. Now repeat the taming process and welcome your new spino to your family!
Now, onto the features of the Spino:
UTILITIES:
Spinos are glass cannons, typically having lesser health but more damage than a Rex. They have 2 stances -- The 4-legged and 2-legged stances. The 4-legged stance has a high attack rate but lesser damage, and vice versa for the 2-legged stance. They also have a Hydrophobic Boost, which boosts their stats when they enter a body of water. This increases their movement speed, damage and damage resistance.

Here is how to tame a spino!
Material:
Trap 1
9 stone foundations
36 stone doorframes
9 wooden ramps
Trap 2:
6 Dino doorframes and 1-2 large bear traps.
Use Dododex to find out how many tranq dart/arrows and bring 50 to 100 more.
Cryo a good herbivore/prepare TONS of narc berries because they wake up insanely fast
Steps:
1.Have a flyer that can actually carry the trap if u use the first.
2.Find a high lv spino
3.lead it into the trap and if itβs trap 2 quickly put the 1 gate left similar to Rex trap.
4.Shoot a bunch of tranq into its face/body
5.Put food thatβs at least better than prime. I suggest prime fish or kibble
6. Starve your tame and use the bed trick and shove down hundreds of narcoberries if needed
7. Boom you have a amphibious carnivore!
Advantages over Rex(which you do know how to tame I suppose)
Faster, and stam lasts longer
Has a hydrophilic buff that increases speed stam and dmg
Has way better DPS than Rex
Has incredible knock back that kills Rexes and alpha raptor carnos.
Harvests loads of fish and bio toxin

It is actually Really easy to tame These.
You Need:
1 Longneck Rifle
10 Tranquelizer Bullets
15 Normal Bullets
To be Good Leveled in running Speed
100 Narcoberries
First you Need To Help him fight Every other Creatires in His near (there are Always some) when Hes done fighting with them and has eaten their corpse, He will Chase you, Just give him easy headshots with the Tranquelizer Bullets, (that is easy cause He constantly Looks at you). Then knock him Out. After knocking him Out you Need weapons or Dinos to clear the area of ANY Predators, (thats what the Bullets are for).
After knocking Out, give him Prime meat and fill him constantly with Narco (Berries Work too).
And congratulations! You've Made yourself a "Mister Spy"
