Put a tent over it when it lands in front of you go in the tent and tame it

Can confirm cage method works as of January 12 me and my tribe mates made off with six of them including a max level male and a 145 female....will be breeding them from now on

Best way to tame them easier is to have torch stands around it when it walks towards you and trap it in place with a sign in the side make sure it will keep it in the circle so that way it won’t fly away and keep giving it chitins.

To trap, wait till it lands and walks up to you, place two torches as close together as you can, lead it into the middle of them till it’s stuck, then place a wooden sign behind it and rotate it sideways. Easy tame! Ps. If it gets startled and starts running or attacking the sign break the trap and restart. Good luck!!!

Um here's a tip take 9 standing torches and put it around it and use a sigh to block the top and sit there feeding it and it can't fly away. There a YouTube video to help show this more :))))

Crouch when one is approaching you and feed it chitin if it’s close enough. It worked for me

Its an easy pssive tame you have to feed it with chitin but be careful if your in chitin gear it will attack you !

You must be crouched to feed them chitin. Or else you will scare them away.

Never let them fly above water, they normally become impossible to tame above water. I found a lvl 200 one that flew away since it went over.

Want to tame one of the best shoulder pets? (Aside from otter). This is what you need. Chitin 50-100 grapple gun (recommended). DO NOT USE CHITIN ARMOR OR IT WILL AGGRO. Sinomacrops usually spawn in the forest and swamp. When finding one move close but not too close or it will run away. After it lands creep up and feed it chitin, track it and keep doing it until you tame it! When tamed you need to make sure it doesn't die because it only eats chitin. Best way of getting chitin is to kill bugs with a megatherium. Thank you for reading this!

Easiest way possible to tame and just done a 145 in 3 minutes….Simply start the initial attraction as normal, when the Sinomacrops is on the ground, stay crouched and quickly put down a new wooden cage and open it but facing your opposite direction so turn 180 degrees….then whilst crouched just walk it straight into the cage and close it! You can now stand close to the cage and just wait for it’s next feed which is every 30 seconds or so for a max level even. Have fun!

U can tame it almost a 100% in one go if u just give it some booty because….. because booty is better than water booty is better than food.
