You can actually find these on Valguero. There is an artifact cave called Milton’s Grotto at 78.2, 90.4. There is a little memorial to a modder’s dog that died inside the cave and at the memorial sometimes shinehorn spawn (along with the other three light pets).

The elusive shinehorn. Don't be fooled by it's cuteness, when following to tame, it will lead you down the dark, dangerous, winding path into darkness, where you will no doubt encounter the dangerous nameless! This little beauty is a treasure to have as your shoulder buddy, and will make cute little gaaah noises to alert you of any nearby enemies.

The shinehorn is practically a baby dear with very tiny horns that give off light. I consider them the Ovis of aberration because they are scarce and dead by the time you get down to tame one.
