How I survived level 13 in mobile ark

DING
I looked up for my jem thingy inserted in my arm. I had just leveled up to level 13 and I had plans. Maybe I should tame a parasaur. Those are supposed to be good. Berry pickers. I needed those. I was walking along the beach and saw a drop, and It was white. That was my level! I ran up to it when I got ambushed by a sarco and raptor. I swung my stone ax (that eventually broke) at them. The raptor died in two hits, but the sarco kept going. After about 20 hits, the sarco went down. I killed a sarco at level 13. Maybe 14 now. 🐊
Journey Chapter 36
Coal, Basil, and Bramble sat in the darkness of the cold dawn on Olivace. The waters were rough and spraying cold water across Olivace’s shell. The sun was slowly rising and revealing they were getting close to the shore of an isle, no more than a few hours more for this trek. Bramble was relieved this journey across the sea would soon be over, he had been sitting on the very edge of Olivace’s shell for the entire trip and wasn’t able to eat anything without it coming back up. They still hadn’t figured out how they were going to hold onto her shell as she dived under the oceanic Crocs. But they would need to soon, the coast was coming up on them.
“If I am on this shell any further, I am gonna be nothing more than a sack of fur and some bones. Do you know how far we are from the shore?” Bramble asked Olivace, she groaned more irritably after this being the 45th time he asked.
“We’ll be there in a short time, you need to be patient. You made my shell reek, so I have to be patient for who knows how long with this stench on my back. Just be glad your stomach will go back to normal after this ride. My shell will smell like this for weeks.” She said, Bramble groaned in agony as his pale snout faced the sea. Coal chuckled quietly.
“Do you know how we can stay on your shell when you go underwater?” Coal asked, she groaned more.
“How am I supposed to know, your one sick friend had some sharp claws that keep stabbing me when he gets sick, maybe use him.” Olivace groaned as she looked back at him, Coal nodded. She moaned.
“I’ll let you know ahead of time when we need to dive so that you three can prepare.” Olivace said, Basil smiled.
“Thank you.” Basil said, Coal was a bit distracted. He was thinking of what Olivace said as a suggestion. It was an interesting concept, but how would the others stay on? They would have to figure this out before she warned them. But it seemed like they had time.
He stared off to the isle that was now the largest land in sight which was once the smallest. He looked back at where they had come from, he was the furthest away from home. And he knew he couldn’t go back until he had fixed this. Basil walked up to him as he stared out to the sea. He didn’t seem concerned or in awe with this. Coal guessed if he’s seen it once, he saw it enough.
“So what’s our plan Coal?” Basil asked,
“Plan for what?” Coal asked confused.
“Once we get to my friends, what do think we should do?”
“TT, I don’t know. I don’t even know who your friends are. Let’s focus on one thing at a time.” Coal said,
“Well, they aren’t all my friends, but they’re some people I know who became my friends.” Basil said,
“Great, so how do we know that they are trustworthy and won’t turn us into that monster?” Coal asked, Basil looked at him with a grin.
“No one will here. They’re…” “They’re what?” Coal continued,
“They are cave dwellers, and supporters of The Five.” Basil answered.
“Cave dwellers? What are they?”
“It’s kinda hard to explain, there’s a wide variety of creatures.” Basil said, Coal raised an eyebrow.
“What cave?”
“It’s… you’ll have to see it.” Basil said, Coal looked at him with suspicion. Why was he being secretive about this? It didn’t seem right.
“Stallions and Mares, this is your grouchy captain speaking. In tee, minus two minutes we will be diving for our first of three dives as we make our way to Vennaland. Please prepare to dive.” Olivace said, Coal’s eyes almost popped out of his head.
“I thought you said you would give us a heads-up!!”
“I just did? What’s wrong with two minutes? I could’ve given you thirty seconds. You now got a little more than a minute left now.” Olivace said, Coal was furious, he thought she would give him a lot more time than two minutes! He was ready to yell at her! But Basil butted him him on the back. Coal looked back and saw
“Coal, what are we gonna do?” Basil said, Coal was frustrated and not sure, they had little time to do anything. But he remembered what Olivace said.
“Our only plan now is to have Bramble hold on as tight as he can.”
“What?”
“You crazy? You know how I feel!”
“Just try to adjust yourself and your grip with your claws to the edge of Olivace’s shell.” Coal said, Olivace grumbled as he said this seeming to not enjoy this idea.
“Well that helps him out, but what about us?! You only have one claw on your wings, and look at me? I don’t even have arms, let alone claws.” Basil said flailing his hands around. Coal tried to think of something that could help them.
“Why don’t one of you bite onto the thyla’s tail and The other bites onto the other’s tail. You better choose soon because you only have less than thirty seconds now.” Olivace said interrupting Coal’s thoughts. Built Coal had no other ideas, this was their only option.
“We’ll do that. Basil, you should hold onto Bramble’s tail and I’ll hold onto yours. I don’t have a tail so it wouldn’t be that great for you to just bite my body.” Coal said, Basil wanted to say something. But he didn’t know what to say or do. So they started getting into places. Bramble started grappling onto the side of Olivace, with his body tightly against the edge of her shell and his left paws skimming against the water. She grimaced as his claws dug into her shell. She looked over at him and he snorted.
“Look, I don’t like this any more than you do. I can’t feel the place between my back legs and front legs whatsoever.” He said grumbly, she huffed.
“Well, you weren’t the one who suggested the idea as a sarcastic joke.” She said back, Bramble snarled as he looked back to see Basil biting down on his tail. Basil locked eyes with Bramble and he gave a guilty and apologetic smile to him.
“Sorry!” Basil said with his mouth locked. He then bit down harder which sent a chain of pain back to Olivace. They all eyeballed back to see Coal biting down on Basil’s tail. He kinda glared back at them.
“Can’t apologize now, I’ll do that once we make it to shore.” Coal said with his beak full, Olivace turned back.
“I’ll be sure glad to dump you guys off. Alright everyone prepare to dive.” She said as she dunked her head into the sea.
Slowly her body started sinking, her shell began to slowly get covered in water. Bubbles began bursting from her shell, Bramble’s body and Basil’s and Coal’s legs starting to get covered. Col felt the low temperature of the sea hit his legs, it almost felt like his legs cracked as they sank into the cold water. He knew it was roughly the same temperature as the air, but felt so much colder. And he didn’t know if he chose the right people to make a trip with.
“Oh, bloody wolves. This so much worse.” He said as his head was slowly being enveloped by the ice-cold sea.
Basil’s eyes shot wide open as his body started sinking as it followed, Coal started hissing his air out as the water hit his body too, it pierced his feathers to his skin. Making it burn with freezing cold temperatures. Basil started breathing heavily and then both heads went under. Coal's eyes shut as the cold water covered his entire face and body. He felt his ears fill up with water and his feathers completely soaking through. His body flowed through and against the water as Olivace the force of the sea pushed back against him. It was hard holding onto Basil’s tail, but he held on as hard as he could. He opened his eyes to see nothing but bubbles, he looked up and saw the light of the twilight sky shine down on them, and also revealing several figures swimming above them. He couldn’t exactly what they were, but he had a very good idea of what they were. He noticed that somehow he was breathing. He wasn’t sure how, was it the the bubbles coming from Olivace’s shell? He tried looking around in the sea but he couldn’t see anything around him. This was going to be a long time being under the water.
Time passed as they traveled through the sea, Coal was beginning to grow used to the cold sea, and his breathing calmed as he flowed against the sea. It was weird that he could breathe, but he had gotten used to the fact that things didn’t always make sense in this world. His mind kept wandering to his father, he just didn’t want to think about any of that right now. Especially in this situation, he was in, but his mind could only wander in this direction. He could not look around himself and see beauty, he couldn’t hear anything but the rumbling of Olivace. So his mind kept wandering to moments of him and his father, times when he and his father laughed, when they ran through the woods in his youth, and days they just sat and watched the sunrise in the East in the morning, then left and come back to watch the sunset in the West. It was heartbreaking for him, that he would never get to have any of these moments again. It was so painful, and he had anger. He wanted that wolf dead, he wanted his home back, he wanted his dad back. By whatever means necessary, he would take his home and slay that beast that killed his father. He would not let that wolf hurt anyone else who lived within his kingdom or outside of it.
Olivace slowly resurfaced, the water around them pulled and pushed Coal and Basil, threatening to take them away into the sea. But Bramble held them together, the three stayed on the shell of Olivace as she breached. Coal and Basil lay on her shell still holding onto each other a chain. Coal immediately spat out Basil’s tail and stared at him.
“Let’s never do this or speak of this again…”
“Agreed. Now can you give me back my tail Basil? You're cutting off circulation to my tail.” Bramble said as he yanked on his tail Basil’s eyes widened as he spat out his tail.
“Sorry!!” Basil said smiling and shrugging with his hands awkwardly. Olivace looked back at them with solemn eyes.
“I’m sorry to tell you boys, but we have two more junctures we have to dive through to avoid Deinos and Sarcos. Believe me when I say that I hate this the most.” She said, everyone stared at her with painful glares.
“This stupid trip just doesn’t want to end.” Bramble said sickly as he fell on Olivace’s shell facing the sea.

Mithril floated through the air as she felt the air blow down from whatever her saviors or new wardens were. She wasn’t really sure if she could trust them since how much more they wanted her than Fenris. This scared her, but she remained strong and silent as they flew. She could hear them squeaking at extreme pitches. She didn’t understand what they were saying, but it seemed by tone to be squabbling. Mithril looked down at the ground, she saw she was in the southern part of Vennaland nearing the edge of the coast and the mountain of gold and the ancient castle. They seemed like they were going to fly over the sea. Mithril looked up at her captors, their tones were sounding tiresome. The air that was blowing down upon her was getting slower.
“Maybe you two should rest before we go over the sea.” She said, the two stopped in midair.
“Brother, we should.”
“But we can make it there before noon at this pace Shikaka.” Alucard said,
“But brother… we only need to rest for a little while and we’ll still make it back there before noon.” She said, Alucard groaned.
“Fine, but we must stay within the darkness. Isn’t there a cave below the mountain here sister?” He said,
“Yes, brother. The Bifrost cave.” Shikaka said,
“We can only stay for an hour though.” Alucard said
“Yes brother, we will leave in one hour on the nose tip.” She said, and with a couple of squeaks, they flew down to the bottom of the mountain into the Bifrost cave. They dropped the general onto the ground and she walked away as the two creatures landed with a gust of air. She thought for a moment that she could run and lose them in the cave. But they could probably catch her with ease, especially being invisible to her.
“So what are you exactly?”
“What do you mean?” Shikaka asked,
“Are you my new captors? Are you my saviors? Did you recuse me? What?” Mithril questioned.
“Well, I wouldn’t say you are recused... More like under new leadership.” Alucard said, Mithril took a deep breath as she was about to make a run for it before she a grunt and the sound of something hitting something else.
“Shame on you Alucard.” Shikaka said,
“What, it was funny?” He replied with a humorous tone in his voice. Mithril though stood there with irritation on her face as she realized it was merely a joke.
“Does she look like she’s laughing?”
“No…”
“There is your answer Alucard. I apologize, General for my brother’s insensitive behavior. He tries to be funny and he doesn’t know when to shut it off.” Shikaka said, Mithril stood there tapping her two wing claws together.
“So you two are good?”
“We are allies of The Five, and of the late Emperor Avalanche if that is what you are asking. We were told to get those of most importance out of there if they were still alive. Coal was taken by someone from what we found out and we aren’t sure where to start looking for him. But you were our next priority General. Is this sufficient information for you General?” Alucard said,
“Not in the slightest, I need to know what you are. And who exactly you are, not just who you side with or what your mission is. How do I even know if you are telling the truth? How can I trust you?” Mithril said, silence held its way for some time there. Mithril huffed to herself as she started walking away.
“Please don’t go, just wait for the sun to rise.” Shikaka said,
“Why?”
“Because it’s a more dramatic reveal than just showing you who we are OOF-” “Sorry once again General for my brother’s insolence. We cannot leave our states until dawn’s break because we are still too young to fully control our abilities.” Shikaka said, and as the sun rose and the light pierced the cave. Mithril could not see it, two creatures blocked the light from her eyes, one smaller than the other with white skin and brown fur and the other was larger with brown skin and reddish fur. Their red beady eyes pierced through finally as they both stared at her but slowly faded as the light came through. They had long leathery wings with bony protruding fingers out of the leathery membranes. They were Desmodus. Mithril didn’t know what to make of this. What was their plan with this?
“Ah, much better. The red always hurts my eyes, especially with fire or light in view.” Alucard said revealing to be a larger one,
“You complain too much brother.” Shikaka said, she turned to Mithril and bowed.
“General Mithril. My name is Shikaka, Desmodus of Vardiland. Daughter of Lunaviat and Potis. My brother and I are some of the few Desmodus left there within Vardiland and we were told by an Ankylo to bring you and Coal to him.”
“Why? What does he want with me and Coal? And how did you know about Fenris?” Mithril asked.
“It may take days or weeks for the carnivores or herbivores to find out things across the sea. Flyers of the air get the juicy meat in less than a day across all of Fjordur.” Alucard said,
“It helps when Tapejara’s and Pteranodons are gossipers. We heard in the afternoon of the attack, and that the time had come. And we took action late in the afternoon.” Shikaka added, Mithril nodded thinking about this.
“Okay, that answers how you know about Fenris. But why does he want me and Coal? And why do you work for an Ankylo?” Mithril asked,
“Because his Grandfather had spoken to Adrahasis. He said that we would need the help of the Terror Bird Kingdom at this time.” Alucard said,
“Who?” Mithril asked
“Adrahasis, a Basilisk who spoke of Ragnarok’s doom falling upon Fjordur.” Shikaka said.
“What? Isn’t that a human fairy tale?” Mithril said,
“Then what does that make Fenris to you? A figment? It’s real and only we can push back against it until the five return. Then and only then can we defeat Fenris.” Shikaka said,
“Okay, but why are we waiting? The Five are gone. Fenris said they were dead.” Mithril answered, Alucard and Shikaka looked at each other for a moment. Before Shikaka stepped forward and looked at Mithril
“They are gone, but they are not dead. And they will return.”
“How do you know?”
“Because Adrahasis prophesied it to happen. The Five will return.” Alucard said, Mithril stared at him for a moment. She was trying to figure out if he was joking or not. He wasn’t.
“That’s impossible, Peeri was the one who prophesied about The Five.” Mithril said, Shikaka shook her head.
“She was the first to mention them by their name as The Five and who they would be, the age they would be, and how many of them their was. But not the first. Adrahasis had three prophecies. The first was a draconian with the power of a god or god killer in his claw. His second was the prophecy of Fenris’s release onto Fjordur and his conquest of Ragnarok and how he will ultimately fail. And finally, The Carnivores with this weapon returning to Fjordur by The Bifrost from Five of the Nine Realms.” Shikaka answered, Mithril was astonished. But she stayed calm through it.
“Why does no one else know about this?” Mithril asked,
“Why did only a few know about The Five’s prophecy until they had defeated Jethezzar?” Alucard said, Shikaka looked over at him irritatedly. Mithril cocked her head in confusion. Unsure what this all meant.
“We don’t know why Adrahasis didn’t reveal his prophecy to the world. You would have to ask our leader why he didn’t tell the world these prophecies. But it’s up to you whether or not you want to come to find out, we’re not going to force you to come if you don’t want to.” Shikaka said to Mithril.
Mithril stood there for a moment silent not knowing what to say or do. She wasn’t sure if she could trust them or if she even believed them. Desmodus were known for being a bit of a reclusive kind, but those that were known were manipulative bloodsuckers of carnivores. But these Desmodus had every chance to do that to her since they left the kingdom of the Terror Birds and they did no such thing. They were young and they seemed to be honest with what they were doing and what they were saying. She tapped her two claws on her one wing as she thought of her decision.
“When we get there, I want to meet your leader as soon as we touch the ground. Then I will decide if I stay.” Mithril said as she stared down Shikaka. She smiled humbly before shaking herself.
“You will not regret a thing, General. We’ll get back in the air then in an hour, and take you to our leader so that you can ask him all the questions you need to be answered.”
~
Fenris lounged on the wall dawn’s peak rose beautifully as he stared into the sun, staring into it didn’t bother him. The small ball of light slowly rose higher and higher into the sky. Yggdrasil’s roots glowed bright as they were pierced by the light of dawn. Something didn’t feel right about himself, he could feel every footstep of the animals of Fjordur as he touched this realm’s soul. But he felt weaker than ever before for some reason, in his prison, he could see events. He knew exactly where something took a step and what that something was on Fjordur or even on the other three realms. He could see individuals he wanted to and had watched thousands upon thousands of beasts in his lifetime imprisonment. But now he couldn’t. All he could do was feel their presence and heartbeats.
He could feel hundreds of animals’ first heartbeats thumping away with fire and those who beats slowed and did their last thump. Life being born as life died. It was soothing and bittersweet, which was making what he had to do harder. So many lives that had to die, the destruction of the Nine Realms. All that life, even breathing the cold yet fresh and pine-scented air made him feel guilty for what he had to do knowing everything would be turned to ash. Why couldn’t he just rule Fjordur, or overthrow Asgard and rule in Odin’s stead? He sighed, as if it were only that simple. But he knew he was letting his emotions get to him, he knew there was no other way but to fulfill destiny. He looked down at the stone wall he rested upon, even this wouldn’t survive the wake he was about to produce. He remembered watching the humans that first settled here build this kingdom, and how they celebrated their achievement. Then when they died out, the terror birds took over and for centuries this was their home. He sighed again. He closed his eyes in pity for this place as he stood there. But he could not let this feeling touch him again. Pity, love, empathy. All had to die within him for what he was about to do.
For he knew the only thing he could do, was burn it all to the ground. Slowly as he heard the heartbeats, he could hear the screams in pain, the agony, the hatred from those he had to kill for what he would do. The words, the screaming, the yelling. The heartbeats sped up as the sky rained ash. All around him was fire, the sky was purple and glitching sporadically now. Terror rang through the air, along with the smell of death. Fenris got up to his feet and took a deep breath of the ash-filled air. And for a moment, he was at peace. His mind let go of everything before, and he knew that he could do what he was destined to do. All life had to be destroyed, He heard the walk of one of his soldiers.
“My liege. Permissi-”
“Say what you have to Lieutenant Atla.”
“Liege, one of the prisoners has gone missing. It seems -”
“Might I guess please, The General, was it? And none of the guards saw how she escaped?” Fenris said, gritting his teeth in anger.
“I’m afraid so.” Atla said, Fenris gritted his teeth even more. Fury grew in his heart as his eyes turned shades until they hit a bright blue.
“Take me to the prison.”
Soon his lieutenant took him to the prison sector she was in quickly. His eyes were lit as blue as the sky outside, though the sky outside was becoming grey as they walked through the castle halls. His breath as he exhaled turned into frosted air. The ice spikes on his fur rattled through the castle as he walked at a quick pace. They soon arrived at the prison and stopped at the entrance hall to the prison. The prison was loud as the inmates yelled out in disbelief at the general’s disappearance. The terror birds yelled in joy as their leader had escaped while most of the other prisoners yelled in confusion about how she got away. Fenris had his lips raised showing his teeth as irritation. His fury was just beginning.
“ATTENTION.” Fenris shouted with a thunderous godlike voice. Every voice went silent hearing his voice. Some snouts turned to try to see the beast that took down the empire of the redwood. Fenrisulfr’s thoughts went on how desperate these people were just to watch an empire fall just for selfish reasons and purposes. It was disgusting, but he did think he could use it to his advantage.
“TO THOSE HOLDING INFORMATION ABOUT HOW THE ESCAPEE GOT OUT. I WILL GLADLY GIVE YOUR FREEDOM. IF NO ONE CAN GIVE ME THIS INFORMATION HOWEVER. I WILL SLAUGHTER YOU ALL LIKE THE SCUM YOU ALL ARE. DO NOT EVEN TRY TO LIE TO ME, I WILL KNOW WHETHER YOU SPEAK THE TRUTH OR NOT.” Fenris said, at first no one answered, and then a smaller creature in one of the cells closest to her jumped forward towards the cell bars.
“I saw her climb that there wall last night. She ran up it like a hermit drake and jumped out that winder right there.” A Purlova said in one of the cells with a few other creatures inside, Fenris looked at the animal. Then he closed his eyes and focused on the animal’s heartbeat. It was fast and sporadic. Fenris opened his glowing blue eyes and got his face close to the cell.
“I said, not to lie to me. Now, you and your friends will die.” He said just before ice spewed out of his mouth and turned the creatures inside into ice. Their screams rang through the prison before abruptly ending. Ice began to pierce into the other cells from between the cracks of the stone.
“ANYONE ELSE WANT TO TRY THEIR LUCK WITH LYING? NO? GOOD. NOW I WANT TO KNOW IF ANYONE SAW HER ESCAPE. IF YOU HAVE THIS INFORMATION I WANT, YOU MAY BE SET FREE. THIS GOES FOR YOU TERROR BIRDS TOO.” Fenris said thundering. As he spoke a storm began forming outside, thunder and lightning flashing. One of their terror birds looked over at Fenris when he said this.
“And be a traitor, not on your life. We are loyal to the Emperor and our General. Even in the face of death.”
“YOUR GENERAL IS GONE, YOUR EMPEROR DEAD. YOU DO SERVE BUT YOURSELVES NOW?” Fenris said thunderously, gritting his teeth. But yet another terror bird came close to the cell and looked at Fenris.
“You may have killed the Emperor, but you didn’t kill the Prince. I saw that he lived from here through one of the bloody windows. So he is our Emperor now and we will fight and die for him.” The terror said, Fenris's head ticked at this. This animal had no fear of a god that stood in front of him. What arrogance! Then the previous terror bird looked back at Fenris.
“ALL HAIL EMPEROR COAL!!” He started shouting, repeating it over and over again. The rest chimed in with him. This caused Fenris to smile. They had loyalty to their kingdom and heart. Honor… Fenris realized he was letting happen again. He got furious. The stone beneath him began to break and immediately was replaced by ice. As the terror birds cheered for their royalty, screams started to burst from some of the other cells as ice and rock exploded from the outside walls of the prison sector, broke through the cell bars and started circling Fenris. Snow and fog started filling the cell hall. His guards wanted to react by running away. But their fear held them in place in fear of HIM attacking them. His eyes glowed with a bright blue fury that pierced the snow and fog. His mouth gapped as wide as it could go. He was filled with so much fury and anger, but not for these people. But for himself, self-hate, despise, fury drove him to this. He hated the fact that he had to kill animals with such a spirit. But he had to do this, to rid himself of such empathy. Even now in the face of death. They still cheered on their royalty. He started blindly firing his ice breath. Hearing the screams of death ad he hit those he could not see. The ice and rock that flew around him started shooting in all directions. Breaking through all rock, stone, and ice that was around. He could hear the death of the animals in their cells as rock and ice pierced their bodies… This went on for several minutes straight until he could hear nothing.
He finally stopped, his eyes dulling back to normal color, the ice and rock began to stop floating and dropped with a tinging sound as they did. When the snow and fog finally disappeared. He saw what he did. The bodies were no more. Fur, scales, bones, and feathers were all that was left frozen in the new ice that replaced the cobblestone cells. He had made this prison sector twice the size of what it was before, made of pure ice crystals. The air was freezing cold. His soldiers were unharmed. They looked at him and bowed. Lieutenant Atla got up quickly and looked at her creator.
“What are your order’s my liege.” She asked, Fenris looked at her. His eyes though no longer glowing still had anger and rage.
“Round up the rest citizens and imprison them here. If any resist, eliminate them. That is your order, Lieutenant.”

After a few more deep dives into the painfully cold water. Coal, Bramble, and Basil had finally made it to Vardiland, Bramble jumped off of Olivace and started desperately kissing the shore. Coal's legs slightly shook as he finally reached the ground. His legs weren’t that good on the sea, especially with his bad leg. He heard a grunt as Basil landed on his legs and chest but this was normal for a Carnotaurus. Coal turned to Olivace and looked at her.
“Thank you, for going out of your way and helping us get here.” He said, Olivace looked at him with a smile.
“Eh, don’t mention it, your highness. Just remember me in the future for some more meat for me when you regain your kingdom.” Olivace said, Coal looked at her with confusion
“I didn’t say who I was-” “I may be old, but I am not deaf. You three really need to pipe it down if you're gonna try to survive without getting jumped by killers. A lot of people still hate the Terror Bird kingdom for what they did.”
“I know.”
“Then you watch these two knuckleheads while you continue on your way to wherever you're going. They have no chance without you, your highness.” Olivace said, Coal nodded
“I will.” He said,
Olivace smiled and bowed to him before turning to the sea walking away and then disappearing into the waves. Coal sighed and then turned around to look at their next challenge. Vardiland. The trees were thick and heavy brush covered the forest floor. Though there was an unusual crack in the earth that had broken long ago. Not even the trees or brush covered them. Basil turned with a big smile on his face as he breathed in the air.
“The air smells so much better over hear for some reason. Well, shouldn’t we get started going there?” Basil said, Bramble turned in horror as he stared at Basil.
“How about no? How about we kill something, eat it, and sleep in peace for one night.” Bramble said. Basil raised his hands in confusion.
“What?”
“I’m sorry and as much as I think we should. We need to rest Basil and eat food. Especially since Bramble had been sick the whole trip. We need to eat and sleep. But we should push at least into the woods.” Coal said, Basil seemed a bit disappointed but he started nodding his head and tapping his hands against his body.
“Yeah, I guess you're right. Then let's get into the woods.” Basil said, Coal nodded in agreement.
“Agreed.” He said as he got up. Bramble looked at Coal with a bit of a stink eye as he got up.
“Fine… but I am not hunting.” he said and all three went into the woods for shelter and their beginning hunt for food.

Ultimus Chapter 5: Awake, part two
Andrew quickly attempted to scramble across his bed and kicked up a bunch of dust making him cough profusely. Dust flew into his eyes and caused him to stop in his tracks. He tried waiting for the dust to settle, but with each cough he stirred up even more dust. He quickly retreated out of the room, as he looked back he saw the room was filled with a cloud of dust.
Andrew decided to open several windows and decided to figure out why the power wasn’t working until the dust settled. He went outside and started walking around the house. He quickly noticed the generator half buried in dirt by the house and checked it. It was powered off with over half a tank of gas remaining. After a little over an hour of trying to figure out how it worked he got it started up running.
Andrew went around the house and went inside. He checked the lights and saw immediately the lights turned on. He pumped his fists in the air and cheered in exuberance.
He went down the hallway and looked into his room. All the dust had settled. He looked through his window and saw his dog was still watching the dinosaur intensely.
Andrew cautiously walked into his room and walked around the bed over to his nightstand. He picked up the clock but couldn’t read it through all the dust. He wiped off the dust but still couldn’t see anything. Looked at the back and saw that the element slot was empty.
“Of course they lied about how long the clock can run on.” He said to himself, he opened the first drawer on the nightstand and saw some clothes. He quickly started pulling out all the clothes and found what he was looking for, a single piece of element. If he couldn’t get an exact date, he could see at least an estimation for how long he’s been asleep. The clock could hold the last date it recorded before it died so it was simple enough.
He put the strange material in the back of the machine and looked at the date it last gave. Andrew looked at date and he was shocked and confused.
‘it couldn’t be right!! Could it?’
The date on the clock was August 12th, 3104. He’d been alsleep for over 700 years. Maybe even longer…
Ultimus Chapter 5: Awake part one
In the shed, the sleeping pod started beeping and the doors opened. Andrew dropped out of the pod and laid on the ground gasping for air. Everything hurt, his head, his eyes, his legs, his stomach, his chest, everything. He tried to pull himself up to the ground, but he collapsed on the ground again. He heard his dog yawn, he heard him get up and walk over to his face. Andrew kept his eyes closed because of the pain but he felt the cold nose of his dog touch his nose. He felt him lick his cheek and his inside ear. This shot Andrew up feeling a cold, wet dog tongue in his ear. Though he instantly regretted it, puking bile and whatever he had eaten before going to sleep.
After a few minutes of being in the worst pain Andrew ever felt and letting it slowly subside. He opened his eyes and looked around. He didn’t see anyone, just dust. A lot of dust. He stood up and looked around. Everything seemed to be the same that it was before he got in, a couple more storage containers and way too much dust. But nothing out of the sort. He went and looked at the sleeping pod, it seemed to have shut down just before letting him and his dog out of it. He decided to go look for his mom and dad and see where they were at. He ran over to the door and opened it. Andrew looked at the outside world confused. Everything seemed normal. He was still in a forest, the sun was setting or rising so it must’ve dawn or dusk, his house was there though it looked run down a little bit.
‘So why was there a dinosaur outside the shed?!?’ He screamed in his head, there standing in front of him was a dinosaur, its head held a weird crest with spike coming off of it and a strange horn off the nose. Andrew had never seen anything like it. He knew the basic dinosaurs like Raptors, Rexes and Trikes of course. But he had never seen anything like this. It looked sort of like a trike but it didn’t have the horn over the eyebrows. But he couldn’t get distracted on how this was here. He walked past it and called his dog. The dog came to the shed door and looked outside. It saw the creature and froze. Andrew called him again and this time the dog laid down and watched the creature. Andrew gave up calling him and left the dog there. He went around the house and walked to the front door and opened it.
“Hello! Mom? Dad? Where are you?” Andrew called out. He didn’t see anyone, everything looked in place though. He continued walking through the house going through the rooms and searching for his parents. Though he didn’t find anything. He wondered if he woke up too early? None of the lights or anything that needed power wasn’t working. He went into his room and looked around, nothing had been touched since he went into the pod. He saw his Element Corp. Digital Clock sitting on his nightstand. And something immediately popped into his head.
‘The Clocks lifespan on one piece of element is guaranteed 750 years. I can just see what year it is right now!!!’
Someone once said: Once upon a time, my Sarco and I were hunting some Megalodons for fish meat, when a pack of Cnidaria stung the both of us, I tried to swim to the shore but it's too late. Mantas and Megs attacked me and my Sarco. My Sarco tried to fight back, biting his opponents. I swam back to the shore, and... My Sarco never came back. His dead corpse was a feast for Mantas and Megalodons. I hold my fists, my mind thirst for revenge. Rifle in hand, I swam back, shooting every Megalodon and Mantas I see. It was a bloodbath, bodies of Megalodon and Mantas floating in the ocean. I avenged his death… My Sarco…
Rain pours down to the land. He left his beloved wife and son.
