They spawn way too much in the artifact of the strong cave in the little river… both them and anglers but hey free prime fish.

You can tame with basket from aberration then keep in a holding pen for easy on demand prime fish meat

Try not to hit them, because if provoked they suck your blood

They can be tamed on Aberration by placing a fishing basket in the water, waiting about 30 seconds, and interacting with the basket when relatively close

Will attack if you attack them, just stay clear of the water in general due to the amount of piranhas that spawn with them

If you have the dino storage v2 mid you can just shoot them with the soul gun to tame them

I once went after one as a noob and got swarmed tip 1 get slingshot

If you attack one, they ALL come after you. They’re pretty easy to kill on their own, but when 20 or more are attacking you at once, it probably won’t end well.

I always kill these fish when they grow huge. Idk why, it just makes me feel like defeating an alpha (Which I never have), and also for the prime fish meat. Not much to say here but... They have a bleed effect, and they all swarm you like megapirahnas when one is attacked. If no other sabertooth salmons are there, it will flee (According to dossier I think).

In ark mobile these things spawn near the cliff and below it is raptors spinos and there's . Good for taking spinos

Everyone's afraid of them but come with a pike or spear and they be running like baby's. Pikes also kill them faster. 🤟

Even if you only see one, keep an eye out for others after you've killed it.

These may look harmless and shy but NEVER EVER attack one if more are in the vicinity they will swarm you and suck your blood! But if you can kill them lovely tasty meat that works as veggiecake for Gary's

One time I saw a giant one of these it was as big as a trike conveniently there was a trike for comparison.

Their best utility is fishing them use leach blood or amber if you are on mobile take your best pech cane and a chair go to a river find these guys and fish them they give very good loot (engrame/prime meat/silica,black pearl/the thing that you need to get gas mask(idk what its name is)...ect) it is very op even if you have ascendant pesh cane

I usually see a lot of these in at red wood forest if you don’t attack them then they will just swim away from you

Just a good source of prime fish meat better if you use a Pelagornis for gathering prime fish meat .

You can tame these by placing an abberation fish trap next to them, and if they stay within a small area for long enough, they will be tamed and transportable with the fish trap by picking it up.

Find a good base with a pond near it and tame a few sabertooth salmons and put em in the pond (or you could add megapiranhas if you like)

There are 3 different types of salmon in the game regs,ab version and the x version on gen1 they all have the same taming mechanic by putting a fish basket down and waiting for the prompt to catch it appears
