Tips about this fish
1. If you have a sickle, then go kill one of these and harvest him with the sickle for prime fish meat.
2. If your new, don’t attack these guys. They will thanos snap new players
3. No more tips here :D
press that good button so noobs can see
Sabertooth salmon=zombie pigman. If you attack one they all come, if you one shot it no one else will come.
Idk what it is with these things. When I was a noob at a really low level and I punched these things they would eat me alive, yet now they swim like crazy away from me. Anyone else experienced this?
An Ark dev said that these will be tameable in the future!
These guys won't attack you unless you attack them. They will them group up and latch on to you, giving you the bleed effect.
Says in the Dossier that SS will flee when it's alone, but if it is with a school they will eat you to the marrow, so hope that helps you understand why they have such different behavior

If you go to a certain spot on ragnorok (i forgot what its called) but its next to the canyon the spinos spawn in. You can see these them jump out of the water and try to swim up the waterfall i just think thats a cool detail its the onl time they can get out of the water without instantly dying
Use a fish basket and bam it’s tamed
tickle one and the whole bloodline comes to you
Tamable using fish baskets from aberration. They seem to flee from the baskets once placed. It is a good strategy to pen then in with fence foundations and walls, or kite them to a pen. Place your basket on the other side of the wall and catch.
What is this guy doing in the terrestrial category
You don't need to build a pen to tame, I just tamed my first thanks to the tips on here. Just wait and check the traps that have salmon near and when the basket says pick with salmon (words to that effect) pick it up and you've tamed a salmon! Thank you 😘
They spawn way too much in the artifact of the strong cave in the little river… both them and anglers but hey free prime fish.
Me and my sister have found a giant one of these in a river near my house. It's bigger than an itchy. Gonna have so much meat....
If you attack it it gives you tasty food and a beating from the fish gang
(You probably lose the tasty food after the beating)
I once found a huge one of these by redwood forest the size of a Meg
I see the big ones frequently, and I recommend you catch it with a fishing rod. The bigger it is the better the rewards. I got a weapon blueprint once, the piranhas can be decent too sometimes but, salmon are way better. Well, usually they are, it's best to fish for them that to kill them regularly. Hope this helps.
