You can tame them with a fish basket, catch them with fish basket and release in water and it's tamed

Getting salmon for shadowmane

Trap saber salmons in a fish basket, then cryo the fish. Keep them cryoed until you want to tame a shadow, then make another fish basket, release them from the cryo and trap them again. Put the fish basket in your hot bar and submerge yourself to reset their timer. No wasting fish baskets. Get lots of fungal wood to make more baskets as they will destroy after you "tame". Also don't punch them because they tell their friends and fck you up

I always kill these fish when they grow huge. Idk why, it just makes me feel like defeating an alpha (Which I never have), and also for the prime fish meat. Not much to say here but... They have a bleed effect, and they all swarm you like megapirahnas when one is attacked. If no other sabertooth salmons are there, it will flee (According to dossier I think).

If you attack one and don't one shot they will attack you I have noticed they won't if you kill one in one hit they will ignore you.

They’re scared of baskets so if you want one make a pen

You can tame with basket from aberration then keep in a holding pen for easy on demand prime fish meat

They can be tamed on Aberration by placing a fishing basket in the water, waiting about 30 seconds, and interacting with the basket when relatively close

Trap them in the shallow water so they cannot go anywhere and just place the bucket on the top of them. Bam. Tamed Sabertooth Salmon

In ark mobile these things spawn near the cliff and below it is raptors spinos and there's . Good for taking spinos

Will attack if you attack them, just stay clear of the water in general due to the amount of piranhas that spawn with them

Good source of prime fish meat when using a sickle

Try not to hit them, because if provoked they suck your blood

Even if you only see one, keep an eye out for others after you've killed it.

One time I saw a giant one of these it was as big as a trike conveniently there was a trike for comparison.
